What Will The End Times Look Like? Part 3

When people are saying, All is well and secure, and, There is peace and safety, then in a moment unforeseen destruction (ruin and death) will come upon them as suddenly as labor pains come upon a woman with child; and they shall by no means escape, for there will be no escape. 1 Thessalonians 5:3

To the degree that she glorified herself and reveled in her wantonness [living deliciously and luxuriously], to that measure impose on her torment and anguish and tears and mourning. Since in her heart she boasts, I am not a widow; as a queen [on a throne] I sit, and I shall never see suffering or experience sorrow— Revelation 18:7

Think about our Father’s Spirit being poured out over the whole world as it never has been before, just as we studied that it will be in Part 1 & 2. Think about the peace and power that will come along for everyone, believers and non-believers, with such an outpouring of Truth. Then think how the world, the lost, the governments, the banks, businesses, and false Christians will react. Instead of giving honor and glory to God, they will glory in what they believe will be their own efforts. The Truth is that the end times will be very prosperous. The world will be saying peace and safety and the world will be glorifying itself. How will Jesus come as a thief if things are bad and everyone is looking for Him?

It is during times of great prosperity that people turn from our Father and turn to themselves and worldliness. People flood to the Truth when there are major wars or major economic troubles, but during times of prosperity, people turn away from our Father. It is during times of prosperity when people aren’t afraid and believe that they do not need God.

For people will be lovers of self and [utterly] self-centered, lovers of money and aroused by an inordinate [greedy] desire for wealth, proud and arrogant and contemptuous boasters. They will be abusive (blasphemous, scoffing), disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy and profane [They will be] without natural [human] affection (callous and inhuman), relentless (admitting of no truce or appeasement); [they will be] slanderers (false accusers, troublemakers), intemperate and loose in morals and conduct, uncontrolled and fierce, haters of good. [They will be] treacherous [betrayers], rash, [and] inflated with self-conceit. [They will be] lovers of sensual pleasures and vain amusements more than and rather than lovers of God. 2 Timothy 3:2-4

Once again the Truth is that the end times will be very prosperous. The world will be enjoying the peace that our Father is delivering through us. Think of what is happening now in many parts of the world. As a whole, we have far more peace then we have ever had. Sure there are areas of conflict, but the world as a whole is not at war. This peace will only grow and be magnified during the end times.

In America we have enjoyed decades with no major wars. We have not had a military draft in 40 years and while there has been some economic troubles, we have not had anything like the Great Depression. So for the most part, even with our poor, we have ample food supplies, clothes, cable television, medical care, transportation, safety, and just about everyone has a cell phone. Our elderly and sick have access to very good facilities and our national life expectancy is increasing. So while things are by no means perfect, they are by histories standards, very good.

With all of this, what is happening in society? Divorce is a very normal thing. Abortion is legal. Sexuality and morality are both rapidly moving away from Christian values. Television and movies are increasingly risqué. Political correctness attacks Christian values instead of heralding them. People are posting pictures of themselves multiple times a day on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Most of us know more about the Middle East then we do about our neighbors. So as things have become more prosperous and safe, people have moved farther and farther away from the Truth that will set them free.

If the above verses are to be true, then the world will have to be extremely prosperous during the end times. Our Father’s power flowing through us will allow Babylon, which is the worlds system, to flourish. The end times will be so prosperous that the world will actually begin to say that it will never again experience suffering or sorrow, just as Revelation 18:7 tells us that it will.

What Do The End Times Look Like? Part 2

Then I saw another mighty angel coming down from heaven, robed in a cloud, with a [halo like a] rainbow over his head; his face was like the sun, and his feet (legs) were like columns of fire. Revelation 10:1

Then I saw another angel flying in midair, with an eternal Gospel (good news) to tell to the inhabitants of the earth, to every race and tribe and language and people. Revelation 14:6

Then another angel, a second, followed, declaring, Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great! She who made all nations drink of the [maddening] wine of her passionate unchastity [idolatry]. Revelation 14:8

Then another angel, a third, followed them, saying with a mighty voice, Whoever pays homage to the beast and his statue and permits the [beast’s] stamp (mark, inscription) to be put on his forehead or on his hand, Revelation 14:9

Then I saw another angel descending from heaven, possessing great authority, and the earth was illuminated with his radiance and splendor. Revelation 18:1

And he shouted with a loud voice like the roaring of a lion; and when he had shouted, the seven thunders gave voice and uttered their message in distinct words. Revelation 10:3

Angels in prophecy often times refer to mighty messages of Truth from our Father, so as Revelation repeatedly tells us, there will be mighty messages during the end times. This makes perfect sense because as we studied in Part 1, our Father will pour His Spirit out on all mankind and our sons and our daughters will prophesy.

And it shall come to pass in the last days, God declares, that I will pour out of My Spirit upon all mankind, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy [telling forth the divine counsels] and your young men shall see visions (divinely granted appearances), and your old men shall dream [divinely suggested] dreams. Acts 2:17

The end times will be filled with mighty messages, powerful messages, messages that change people. Our Father will empower His Truth to be preached all over the world, everyplace, even places like Iran, North Korea, and China. Right now this seems to be a far fetched fantasy, with politicians, television personalities, radio talk shows, and movie stars all coming against the Truth of the Gospel of the Kingdom. But all of that is going to change as quickly as things changed when Jesus came on the scene.

So the angel took the censer and filled it with fire from the altar and cast it upon the earth. Then there followed peals of thunder and loud rumblings and blasts and noises, and flashes of lightning and an earthquake. Revelation 8:5

Our Father is going to pour His Spirit, which is Fire, upon the earth and things are going to change quickly and when He does, the messages that He has us share will shake things up, just as an earthquake shakes things up. So don’t look for wars, diseases, or financial ruin as signs of the end times, look for powerful messages of Truth that begin to change peoples life’s. Look for miracles to abound, just as they did with Jesus, during the end times.

What Will The End Times Actually Look Like?

And this good news of the kingdom (the Gospel) will be preached throughout the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then will come the end. Matthew 24:14

Acts 2:17

The first thing that most people think about when it comes to the end times is war, sickness, diseases, death, and destruction. But our Father has told us something different, He has told us that the Gospel of our Kingdom will be preached everywhere and that He will pour His Spirit out on mankind as He never has before.

And when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not get alarmed (troubled and frightened); it is necessary [that these things] take place, but the end is not yet. Mark 13:7

There is only one sign that it is the end and that sign is the Gospel of the Kingdom will be preached as it never has before. So that begs the question: what exactly is the Gospel of the Kingdom?

And He went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the good news (Gospel) of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every weakness and infirmity among the people. Matthew 4:23

And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the good news (the Gospel) of the kingdom and curing all kinds of disease and every weakness and infirmity. Matthew 9:35

And my language and my message were not set forth in persuasive (enticing and plausible) words of wisdom, but they were in demonstration of the [Holy] Spirit and power [a proof by the Spirit and power of God, operating on me and stirring in the minds of my hearers the most holy emotions and thus persuading them], 1 Corinthians 2:4

Many of us believe that the Gospel of the Kingdom is going and telling people about Jesus, but the Gospel of the Kingdom is not that. We absolutely will tell people about Jesus, but the Gospel of the Kingdom is the Holy Spirit using us to serve the world. We will be used just as Jesus was used to serve people. Now think about the people Jesus served by healing them, raising them from the dead, feeding them, and miraculously creating wine so that their party could continue. They did not believe in Who He was and that did not stop Him from serving them, this is the Gospel of the Kingdom.

So the end times will be filled with miraculous works and demonstration of our Father’s Spirit. His power will be flowing through the whole world and through all people, even people who do not deserve it, will be benefiting from it.

I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, if anyone steadfastly believes in Me, he will himself be able to do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these, because I go to the Father. John 14:12

Revelation 22:18-21

18 I [personally solemnly] warn everyone who listens to the statements of the prophecy [the predictions and the consolations and admonitions pertaining to them] in this book: If anyone shall add anything to them, God will add and lay upon him the plagues (the afflictions and the calamities) that are recorded and described in this book.
19 And if anyone cancels or takes away from the statements of the book of this prophecy [these predictions relating to Christ’s kingdom and its speedy triumph, together with the consolations and admonitions or warnings pertaining to them], God will cancel and take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the city of holiness (purity and hallowedness), which are described and promised in this book.
  • These scriptures have been used by a lot of people to talk about us loosing our salvation. But the Truth is no one who has truly been grafted into the Vine would ever take away or add to this prophecy. If they could, then our Father would have made a mistake by grafting them into the Vine in the first place. Our Father knows the beginning and the end, but yet so many want us to believe that He grafted someone in whose heart wasn’t right? That would mean our Father was fooled by these people, and God is never fooled. These verses are only a statement saying don’t mess with what Jesus had written, it's Truth and it will set you free.
  • People killed, tortured, and lied about Jesus, Who is the Word of God, and He forgave them. People will in ignorance mess up Revelation and they too will be forgiven, our Father never changes.
  • A lot of people will also shy away from Revelation, don’t it is a great Book of Truth and there is such a blessing when our Father uses us to share it and study it with others.
  • Blessed (happy, to be envied) is the man who reads aloud [in the assemblies] the word of this prophecy; and blessed (happy, to be envied) are those who hear [it read] and who keep themselves true to the things which are written in it [heeding them and laying them to heart], for the time [for them to be fulfilled] is near. Revelation 1:3
  • The sower sows the Word. Mark 4:14
  • Revelation is the Word and our Father empowers us to sow His Word and His Word sets us all free.
20 He Who gives this warning and affirms and testifies to these things says, Yes (it is true). [Surely] I am coming quickly (swiftly, speedily). Amen (so let it be)! Yes, come, Lord Jesus!
21 The grace (blessing and favor) of the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) be with all the saints (God’s holy people, those set apart for God, to be, as it were, exclusively His). Amen (so let it be)!
  • I truly hope that our Father uses these studies of Revelation to bless all who read them as much as He has blessed me with sharing them.

Revelation 22:17

17 The [Holy] Spirit and the bride (the church, the true Christians) say, Come! And let him who is listening say, Come! And let everyone come who is thirsty [who is painfully conscious of his need of those things by which the soul is refreshed, supported, and strengthened]; and whoever [earnestly] desires to do it, let him come, take, appropriate, and drink the water of Life without cost.
  • Look who calls the people to come: Jesus and the Bride. The Bride does not call herself to her own Wedding Feast, she calls her guests.
  • On Judgment Day, when people have been raised up from Hades and they will see our Father, Jesus, Us, and the New Jerusalem, don't you believe that we will have their full attention and that they will listening?
  • They sure will be and they will bow their knees and they will confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord and they will be set free by the Truth.
  • You think these people may be thirsty?
  • And he cried out and said, Father Abraham, have pity and mercy on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am in anguish in this flame. Luke 16:24
  • You think that those who will be raised from Hades will need to be comforted? They sure will need comforting and we will call them to join us and they will learn the Truth, just as we are told that they will. The people who did not follow satan were being served and comforted by Jesus before Judgment Day. So the only ones needing comforting and refreshing are those who just were raised up from Hades.
  • Take note! I will make those of the synagogue of Satan who say they are Jews and are not, but lie—behold, I will make them come and bow down before your feet and learn and acknowledge that I have loved you. Revelation 3:9
  • Jesus never changes, He is always the same. He always thinks the same and He always acts the same, Hebrews 13:8. Heaven and earth will pass away but what Jesus has said will remain, Mark 13:31.
  • Bless those who persecute you [who are cruel in their attitude toward you]; bless and do not curse them. Romans 12:14
  • But if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals upon his head. Romans 12:20
  • But I tell you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, Matthew 5:44
  • Do you not know that the saints (the believers) will [one day] judge and govern the world? And if the world [itself] is to be judged and ruled by you, are you unworthy and incompetent to try [such petty matters] of the smallest courts of justice? 1 Corinthians 6:2
  • If Jesus never changes, and His Word never stops, and we are told that we will judge along with Him, how is it that we could judge people to go to Hell?

Revelation 22:14-16

14 Blessed (happy and to be envied) are those who cleanse their garments, that they may have the authority and right to [approach] the tree of life and to enter through the gates into the city.
  • How does a person cleanse his garments?
  • Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation. Romans 10:9-10
  • Now think of what will happen on Judgment Day. Everyone will be there. We will be there, transformed a thousand years earlier to be just like Jesus. The living who did not follow satan when he was released from the Abyss will be there. The dead who will be raised from Hades will also be there.
  • For it is written, As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to God [acknowledge Him to His honor and to His praise]. Romans 14:11
  • For it is written, As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to God [acknowledge Him to His honor and to His praise]. Philippians 2:10
  • A person washes their garments by confessing Jesus as Lord and on Judgment Day everyone will have washed garments, because everyone will confess the Truth that will set them free.
  • Our Father will get His way, everyone will be saved and come to the knowledge of the Truth.
  • Who wishes all men to be saved and [increasingly] to perceive and recognize and discern and know precisely and correctly the [divine] Truth. 1 Timothy 2:4
  • Declaring the end and the result from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure and purpose, Isaiah 46:10
15 [But] without are the dogs and those who practice sorceries (magic arts) and impurity [the lewd, adulterers] and the murderers and idolaters and everyone who loves and deals in falsehood (untruth, error, deception, cheating).
  • All evil will be done away with on Judgment Day.
  • God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and death shall be no more, neither shall there be anguish (sorrow and mourning) nor grief nor pain any more, for the old conditions and the former order of things have passed away. And He Who is seated on the throne said, See! I make all things new. Also He said, Record this, for these sayings are faithful (accurate, incorruptible, and trustworthy) and true (genuine). And He [further] said to me, It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I [Myself] will give water without price from the fountain (springs) of the water of Life. Revelation 21:4-6
  • Death and Hades will be destroyed, Revelation 20:14. Satan will be thrown into the Lake of Fire and destroyed, Revelation 20:10.
  • All of the chaff, or bad stuff, of mankind will be removed from us and will thrown into the Lake of Fire on Judgment Day,  Matthew 3:12
  • So yes everything evil will be gone, the people will not be gone, just what made them evil.
  • But if any person’s work is burned up [under the test], he will suffer the loss [of it all, losing his reward], though he himself will be saved, but only as [one who has passed] through fire. 1 Corinthians 3:15
16 I, Jesus, have sent My messenger (angel) to you to witness and to give you assurance of these things for the churches (assemblies). I am the Root (the Source) and the Offspring of David, the radiant and brilliant Morning Star.

Revelation 22:12-13

12 Behold, I am coming soon, and I shall bring My wages and rewards with Me, to repay and render to each one just what his own actions and his own work merit.
  • For it is by free grace (God’s unmerited favor) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s salvation) through [your] faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [of your own doing, it came not through your own striving], but it is the gift of God; Not because of works [not the fulfillment of the Law’s demands], lest any man should boast. [It is not the result of what anyone can possibly do, so no one can pride himself in it or take glory to himself.] Ephesians 2:8-9
  • But God’s free gift is not at all to be compared to the trespass [His grace is out of all proportion to the fall of man]. For if many died through one man’s falling away (his lapse, his offense), much more profusely did God’s grace and the free gift [that comes] through the undeserved favor of the one Man Jesus Christ abound and overflow to and for [the benefit of] many. Romans 5:15
  • But then Law came in, [only] to expand and increase the trespass [making it more apparent and exciting opposition]. But where sin increased and abounded, grace (God’s unmerited favor) has surpassed it and increased the more and superabounded, Romans 5:20
  • Grace is a free gift. We believe and have been made the Bride of Christ only by free Grace. We did absolutely no work on our own, even believing, to receive this Grace and be saved.
  • Therefore I want you to understand that no one speaking under the power and influence of the [Holy] Spirit of God can [ever] say, Jesus be cursed! And no one can [really] say, Jesus is [my] Lord, except by and under the power and influence of the Holy Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12:3
  • Jesus freely gave Grace on the Cross to those  who were killing Him and as we have studied so often, Jesus never changes. Even our righteous actions do not deserve pay, but Grace pays us anyway.
  • We have also studied that we will not only rule with Jesus, but that we will judge with Him.
  • Do you not know that the saints (the believers) will [one day] judge and govern the world? And if the world [itself] is to be judged and ruled by you, are you unworthy and incompetent to try [such petty matters] of the smallest courts of justice? 1 Corinthians 6:2
  • Then I saw thrones, and sitting on them were those to whom authority to act as judges and to pass sentence was entrusted. Also I saw the souls of those who had been slain with axes [beheaded] for their witnessing to Jesus and [for preaching and testifying] for the Word of God, and who had refused to pay homage to the beast or his statue and had not accepted his mark or permitted it to be stamped on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived again and ruled with Christ (the Messiah) a thousand years. Revelation 20:4
  • No ones own personal works will ever measure up. The reward of works, even good works, is death. What Jesus brings is Grace and His grace will superabound anything that any person has done.
  • Now think of this here, we are told that we will judge with Jesus. Now if this is true, how could we ever judge anyone guilty when we have been set free solely by Grace and not by our works?
13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last (the Before all and the End of all).
  • Jesus is the Alpha and the Omega and He was very, very successful on the Cross.
  • Well then, as one man’s trespass [one man’s false step and falling away led] to condemnation for all men, so one Man’s act of righteousness [leads] to acquittal and right standing with God and life for all men. Romans 5:18
  • Jesus will reward people based on Grace and every knee will bow and every tongue will confess the Truth and the Truth is what will set us all free.

Revelation 22:10-11

10 And he [further] told me, Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book and make no secret of them, for the time when things are brought to a crisis and the period of their fulfillment is near.
  • Do not be deceived and deluded and misled; God will not allow Himself to be sneered at (scorned, disdained, or mocked by mere pretensions or professions, or by His precepts being set aside.) [He inevitably deludes himself who attempts to delude God.] For whatever a man sows, that and that only is what he will reap. Galatians 6:7
  • Not forsaking or neglecting to assemble together [as believers], as is the habit of some people, but admonishing (warning, urging, and encouraging) one another, and all the more faithfully as you see the day approaching. Hebrews 10:25
  • Once again we are shown to not shy away from the Book of Revelation. Jesus will lead us to go and share it, to read it out loud, and to study it together. There is a wonderful blessing in doing so and Jesus will make sure that we do openly share the Truth in this awesome Book!
11 He who is unrighteous (unjust, wicked), let him be unrighteous still; and he who is filthy (vile, impure), let him be filthy still; and he who is righteous (just, upright, in right standing with God), let him do right still; and he who is holy, let him be holy still.
  • We are shown here that our Father is in total control. If we are called and chosen to be the Bride of Christ, our Father will cause us to be righteous and holy. If we are not chosen, we can never be holy. Our Father holds all of the power. A person is only born again by God's will.
  • Who owe their birth neither to bloods nor to the will of the flesh [that of physical impulse] nor to the will of man [that of a natural father], but to God. [They are born of God!] John 1:13
  • For many are called (invited and summoned), but few are chosen. Matthew 22:!4
  • For both He Who sanctifies [making men holy] and those who are sanctified all have one [Father]. For this reason He is not ashamed to call them brethren; Hebrews 2:11
  • And I will put my Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you shall heed My ordinances and do them. Ezekiel 36:27
  • It is a reason for pride and exultation to which our conscience testifies that we have conducted ourselves in the world [generally] and especially toward you, with devout and pure motives and godly sincerity, not in fleshly wisdom but by the grace of God (the unmerited favor and merciful kindness by which God, exerting His holy influence upon souls, turns them to Christ, and keeps, strengthens, and increases them in Christian virtues). 2 Corinthians 1:12
  • For we are God's [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live]. Ephesians 2:10
  • Declaring the end and the result from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure and purpose, Isaiah 46:10
  • For it was in Him that all things were created, in heaven and on earth, things seen and things unseen, whether thrones, dominions, rulers, or authorities; all things were created and exist through Him [by His service, intervention] and in and for Him. And He Himself existed before all things, and in Him all things consist (cohere, are held together) Colossians 1:16-17
  • So many times we want to preach to people what they have to do. This way of preaching is not the Truth that will set them free. The Truth that will set people free is that it is what our Father has to do. Tell people what our Father will do through them and they will be set free. Tell people what they have to do and they will never truly come to the knowledge that will set them free. They may have a form of godliness, but they will always deny the power of it.
  • So relax if someone you know seems to be unrighteous. They will see our Father and His Truth through us and they too will come to the knowledge of the Truth and be set free. Our Father will use us to show and tell them of His power working through us. They will see that He is greater in us then anything that is in the world and they will be set free.

Revelation 22:8-9

8 And I, John, am he who heard and witnessed these things. And when I heard and saw them, I fell prostrate before the feet of the messenger (angel) who showed them to me, to worship him.
9 But he said to me, Refrain! [You must not do that!] I am [only] a fellow servant along with yourself and with your brethren the prophets and with those who are mindful of and practice [the truths contained in] the messages of this book. Worship God!
  • As Peter arrived, Cornelius met him, and falling down at his feet he made obeisance and paid worshipful reverence to him. But Peter raised him up, saying, Get up; I myself am also a man. Acts 10:25-26
  • I want you to think of the Pope here. John is told not to bow down to an angel. Peter, the man that Roman Catholics say is their first Pope, told people not to bow to him. But today it is expected that people bow to the Pope and kiss a man made ring on his finger. Remember too that we have been shown this before in Revelation.
  • Now think if our Father allows satan to completely control the last Pope and allows him to fill the last Pope with all of his power?
  • Think if our Father allows the Pope to have the gift of speech as no one has ever had?
  • Think of how the world will flock after and commit blasphemy when all of this happens.
  • And the beast was given the power of speech, uttering boastful and blasphemous words, and he was given freedom to exert his authority and to exercise his will during forty-two months (three and a half years). Revelation 13:5
  • They fell down and paid homage to the dragon, because he had bestowed on the beast all his dominion and authority; they also praised and worshiped the beast, exclaiming, Who is a match for the beast, and, Who can make war against him? Revelation 13:4
  • I believe that the last Pope will be the anti-christ. I believe that our Father will allow him to be very powerful and that the world will marvel at it all and want to celebrate and be part of his worldly kingdom.
  • I believe that the last Pope will receive a head wound and everyone will think that he should have died, but he won't and they will even further marvel over him.
  • And one of his heads seemed to have a deadly wound. But his death stroke was healed; and the whole earth went after the beast in amazement and admiration. Revelation 13:3
  • This is what I believe. I am not saying that our Father has caught me up to Heaven and told me these things specifically, but when I read all of this, it is what I believe. I may be wrong, I may be right? It is just what I believe and our Father has used me to share it to hopefully spark anyone who reads this study to be used to do the same thing. There is a blessing when we read and study the Book of Revelation together and that blessing is for everyone.
  • But here is an absolute Truth, none of what we are studying, whether physical or spiritual, will happen until the Gospel of the Kingdom is being preached everywhere. That is the One Sign that we are told to look for before His return!
  • And this good news of the kingdom (the Gospel) will be preached throughout the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then will come the end. Matthew 24:14

Revelation 22:7

7 And behold, I am coming speedily. Blessed (happy and to be envied) is he who observes and lays to heart and keeps the truths of the prophecy (the predictions, consolations, and warnings) contained in this [little] book.
  • Remember that all of the things that we have been shown in Revelation: the anti-christ, the false prophet, the 7 Seals, 7 Thunders, 7 Trumpets, the 4 Apocalyptic Horsemen, and  the uncountable number who will be saved all happens in just 3 1/2 years.
  • And I will grant the power of prophecy to My two witnesses for 1,260 (42 months; three and one-half years), dressed in sackcloth. Revelation 11:3
  • And the woman [herself] fled into the desert (wilderness), where she has a retreat prepared [for her] by God, in which she is to be fed and kept safe for 1,260 days (42 months; three and one-half years). Revelation 12:6
  • Jesus will return as a thief in the night, completely unexpected.
  • For you yourselves know perfectly well that the day of the [return of the] Lord will come [as unexpectedly and suddenly] as a thief in the night. 1 Thessalonians 5:2
  • What is really a powerful Truth is that people will be saying peace and safety right before He does return to the earth.
  • When people are saying, All is well and secure, and, There is peace and safety, then in a moment unforeseen destruction (ruin and death) will come upon them as suddenly as labor pains come upon a woman with child; and they shall by no means escape, for there will be no escape. 1 Thessalonians 5:3
  • If everything that will happen in Revelation is physical and not spiritual, do you really believe that people will be saying such things. If everything that we have studied will be physical, then everyone will be looking for Jesus’ return, no one would be caught off guard.
  • But if things are great in the world and people are trusting in themselves and wealth, and they believe that they do not need our Father, then they will be caught off guard. The worst condition a person will ever find themselves in is when they believe that they are in control and when they are trusting in worldly wealth.
  • For people will be lovers of self and [utterly] self-centered, lovers of money and aroused by an inordinate [greedy] desire for wealth, proud and arrogant and contemptuous boasters. They will be abusive (blasphemous, scoffing), disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy and profane. 2 Timothy 3:2

Revelation 22:4-6

4 They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads.
  • Jesus’ Name will be on our foreheads, so we are shown that it will be plain to see that we are the Bride of Christ in eternity.
  • And this is eternal life: [it means] to know (to perceive, recognize, become acquainted with, and understand) You, the only true and real God, and [likewise] to know Him, Jesus [as the] Christ (the Anointed One, the Messiah), Whom You have sent. John 17:3
  • Why will it be important for everyone to recognize us?
  • Take note! I will make those of the synagogue of Satan who say they are Jews and are not, but lie—behold, I will make them come and bow down before your feet and learn and acknowledge that I have loved you. Revelation 3:9
  • We studied in verse 2 of Revelation 22 that there will be 12 trees bearing 12 manner of fruit for the nations. 12 is a perfect number in prophecy. 12 is a number that represents perfect government: the 12 tribes of Judah, the 12 Apostles.
  • We also were shown in verse 1 that there will be a river flowing from the Throne of our Father.
  • Jesus told us that from us, His Bride, there would be a river of living water that would flow, John 7:38.
  • We have been raised up together and made to sit together in Heavenly places in Christ Jesus, Ephesians 2:6
  • We are the River that flows from the Throne that heals, protects, and serves the guests through the power of the Holy Spirit that is within us.
5 And there shall be no more night; they have no need for lamplight or sunlight, for the Lord God will illuminate them and be their light, and they shall reign [as kings] forever and ever (through the eternities of the eternities).
  • We will rule and reign with Jesus. Think about how Jesus rules and reigns.
  • [That] Jesus, knowing (fully aware) that the Father had put everything into His hands, and that He had come from God and was [now] returning to God, Got up from supper, took off His garments, and taking a [servant’s] towel, He fastened it around His waist. Then He poured water into the washbasin and began to wash the disciples’ feet and to wipe them with the [servant’s] towel with which He was girded. John 13:3-5
  • Jesus rules by serving. Peter said that He would not allow Jesus to wash his feet and Jesus told Peter that if He didn’t then he could not be one with Him, John 13:5-8.
  • Jesus fed those who would later cry out for His death, Matthew 16:9.
  • Jesus forgave those who had tortured and killed Him, Luke 23:34.
  • Jesus miraculously created food for people that did not believe Him, John 21:9
  • Jesus never changes, Hebrews 13:8.
  • Jesus is the Greatest, because He is the greatest servant, Matthew 23:11.
  • This is how we too will be empowered to rule and reign, by serving our guests.
6 And he [of the seven angels further] said to me, These statements are reliable (worthy of confidence) and genuine (true). And the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, has sent His messenger (angel) to make known and exhibit to His servants what must soon come to pass.

Revelation 22:1-3

Then he showed me the river whose waters give life, sparkling like crystal, flowing out from the throne of God and of the Lamb.
  • He who believes in Me [who cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Me] as the Scripture has said, From his innermost being shall flow [continuously] springs and rivers of living water. But He was speaking here of the Spirit, Whom those who believed (trusted, had faith) in Him were afterward to receive. For the [Holy] Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified (raised to honor). John 7:38-39
  • Here John sees that the Holy Spirit is still very active in eternity and of course He would be, our Father isn't going to stop His passion for us.
  • Our Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are all One. So our Father is pouring His Spirit out all throughout eternity, Our Father never changes. The Holy Spirit is abundant now and He will be abundant in eternity.
2 Through the middle of the broadway of the city; also, on either side of the river was the tree of life with its twelve varieties of fruit, yielding each month its fresh crop; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing and the restoration of the nations.
  • Down the middle of the Broadway. The perfect street of Gold, that is wide, so that all of mankind, from every nation, tongue, and tribe may be there.
  • [Just as] You have granted Him power and authority over all flesh (all humankind), [now glorify Him] so that He may give eternal life to all whom You have given Him. John 17:2
  • For God has consigned (penned up) all men to disobedience, only that He may have mercy on them all [alike]. Romans 11:32
  • The saying is sure and true and worthy of full and universal acceptance, that Christ Jesus (the Messiah) came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am foremost. 1 Timothy 1:15
  • We are told that there is fruit in eternity that will heal the nations. I love that word nations, not just nation, not just the saved, not just believers, but the nations, who are our guests.
  • The Bride, who are the believers from this life, will be just like Jesus in eternity.
  • Beloved, we are [even here and] now God’s children; it is not yet disclosed (made clear) what we shall be [hereafter], but we know that when He comes and is manifested, we shall [as God’s children] resemble and be like Him, for we shall see Him just as He [really] is. 1 John 3:2
  • Ask yourself this, does Jesus need healed? No.
  • We will be one with Him, just as He is, so we will not need healed either. But our guests, those who have not been made to be like Jesus, will need the power of the River and the power of the fruit. And they will receive it all freely as they enjoy the bounty of our Kingdom.
3 There shall no longer exist there anything that is accursed (detestable, foul, offensive, impure, hateful, or horrible). But the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall worship Him [pay divine honors to Him and do Him holy service].
  • Think about how we will serve our Father throughout eternity? The answer is that we will serve Him just as we do here on the earth.
  • And He said to them, Go into all the world and preach and publish openly the good news (the Gospel) to every creature [of the whole human race]. Mark 16:15
  • He who is greatest among you shall be your servant. Matthew 23:11
  • Our Father is not so insecure that He needs us to wait on Him and tell Him that He is awesome 24/7.
  • We serve our Father by serving others and that will not change in eternity. There will be guests in eternity who our Father empowers us to serve.
  • Now think about what we have been shown about the Bride of Christ in our studies of Revelation: the first thing is that believers were changed right when Jesus returned.
  • Second: there were people here on the earth who did not take the mark of the beast and did not die when Jesus returned. They continued to live with us for the 1000 years.
  • Third: right before Judgment Day satan is released and some people follow him, but not all people will.
  • Fourth: our Father consumes those who will follow satan when he is released from the Abyss and then those people, along with all of the other dead, are raised to be judged.
  • So what about those who did not follow satan and who were not changed to be like Jesus a 1000 years earlier?
  • These people will still be human. They will still be married. They will never die. They will still be having children. They will need the Fruit, the River, and need to be served by us, the Bride.
  • The glorious Truth is that eternity will be full of guests. Those who have been raised up from the dead and those who will never have died, both good and bad.
