"Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of His knowledge by us in every place." 2 Corinthians 2:14
Let’s look at the second half of this verse, because Christ is always triumphant in us, it will make evident the knowledge of God in every place! When people see us triumph, in everything, they will know that it cannot be by the power of man; they will know that it has to be of God! When Lazarus, who was dead for days, came out of the tomb, people knew that it was God! Jesus said that miraculous signs would follow us, and these signs and our constant victory through Christ are evidence that God is real. Look at Jesus’ ministry, He went to a wedding and they ran out of wine, so He miraculously speaks into existence gallons of the finest wine! Jesus was victorious even with something as small as a lack of wine! Jesus needed tax money, so He told Peter to go catch a fish, and in the fish’s mouth was the money to pay both of their taxes! Jesus was victorious in every area of His life. He even triumphed over death. What could possibly make us think that Jesus will not be victorious and triumphant through us as well? Do we actually believe that our humanity is stronger than God’s Triumphant Power? If we have truly accepted Jesus as Lord, we are going to be victorious in every area of our lives; Jesus will not fail! Our ignorance or lack of faith is just not strong enough to ruin His record! We are strong in the power of His might, not ours!
