But the natural, nonspiritual man does not accept or welcome or admit into his heart the gifts and teachings and revelations of the Spirit of God, for they are folly (meaningless nonsense) to him; and he is incapable of knowing them [of progressively recognizing, understanding, and becoming better acquainted with them] because they are spiritually discerned and estimated and appreciated. But the spiritual man tries all things [he [a]examines, investigates, inquires into, questions, and discerns all things], yet is himself to be put on trial and judged by no one [he can read the meaning of everything, but no one can properly discern or appraise or get an insight into him]. 1 Corinthians 2:14-15
We all try so desperately to be understood by people. We share scriptures that seem so plain and simple to us. We devise arguments that clearly and precisely define our points and yet we are looked upon as crazy people, as if we are speaking in parables and tongues. The Truth is we are and as the song says, “that’s just the way it is, some things will never change.” We understand because the Holy Spirit allows us to understand and the world does not have the Holy Spirit to allow them the same privilege.
But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you. John 14:26
The Holy Spirit is greater in us, than anything that is in this world. And even though we cannot be understood by the world, we sow the Seed of the Word of our Father to the world. The Holy Spirit causes us to, we cannot help but to do the work of our Father. Some of the Truth that we are used to sow will fall on the rocks, some on shallow soil, and some in the thorn bushes. But amen, some will fall on good soil and produce a return of 30, 60, and a 100 fold. We can’t help but sow the Truth and we cannot help but be misunderstood as we do. So rejoice and sow the Truth and when your are rebuked and mistreated for it, rejoice that you were counted worthy by our Father to suffer persecution in doing so.
