"For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus" Galatians 3:26-28
The Greek word that we translate baptized from is baptizo. And as we have discussed before the best way to explain what baptizo means is to use an example of a cucumber becoming a pickle. A cucumber is submerged into the pickling spice and is forever changed, while it is still looks like a cucumber, it has taken on the characteristics of the spices and even has the pickling spices through it. The cucumber can never go back to being a cucumber; it has been forever changed into a pickle. This is how we now are in Christ, our old man has passed away, and behold the new man, created in God’s image, a partaker of His Divine Nature, has been born. We may physically look like our old selves, but we now have Christ in us, on us, through us, and we are now one with Christ, we can never go back. “I in them, and Thou in Me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that Thou hast sent Me, and hast loved them, as Thou hast loved Me.” John 17:23 We have been crucified with Christ, nevertheless we live, yet it is not us who lives, it is Christ in us Who lives. Praise God we need to say this Truth out loud daily! “We are new creatures in Christ, we have put on Christ, old things are passed away for us, and behold all things have become new for us.” Thank God we have been baptized into Christ and we have put on Christ, and A-men, we are now one with Christ, sealed by the Holy Spirit of God, and we cannot go back! “In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise,” Ephesians 1:13
