"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new." 2 Corinthians 5:17
If all things are now new for us, do we still have a sinful nature? No, that was part of our old nature and it was crucified with Christ and it has passed away; we now have the mind of Christ! “Knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.” Romans 6:6 What about sickness? No, the Anointing of God came that we might have life and have it abundantly as we prosper and are in health! “Who His Own self bare our sins in His body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness; by Whose stripes ye were healed.” 1 Peter 2:24 Do we still have fear? No, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7 In Christ we now have no fear; fear was an old thing and it has passed away! What about hatred and unforgiveness? No, “And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.” Romans 5:5 Do we still have lack? Absolutely not, “And God is able to make all grace abound towards you; that ye, having all sufficiency in all things, may abound unto every good work.” 2 Corinthians 9:8 All of our old shortcomings, that were brought on by sin, are now gone, they have been destroyed as Romans 6 teaches, because God has given us His Anointing, which is Christ! We are now one with God and as He is, so are we, even while we are on this earth. We now are one with our Fathers love, His peace, His joy, His power, His abilities, and His grace. God’s very self is now united with us to insure that all things are new for us! If God said old things are passed away, old things are passed away! Today is the day of our salvation and faith comes from us hearing the Truth of God and God’s Truth sets us free! God is not a man that He should lie and God said that old things are passed away for us! Today is the day of our salvation, and now is the accepted time for all of these promises of our Father to be lived and enjoyed!
