Christ Has Defeated The But Devil

"And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto His heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory forever and ever. A-men." 2 Timothy 4:18

But what if we are killed for testifying about Jesus? “O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?” 1 Corinthians 15:55

But what if we are throne into jail and persecuted for believing? “And to him they agreed: and when they had called the Apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go. And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for His name. And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.” Acts 5:40-42

There is not one area in a believer’s life that satan can win at, not one! If he could win than we would have to throw 2 Timothy 4:18 out, it would be false, because God would not deliver us from every evil work. The Truth is that we are now actually one with Jesus, John 17:23, and since we are we have been delivered from every evil work, just as Jesus is delivered from every evil work!

You may think but sin, what about sin. The wage of sin is death, but through Christ we have passed from death unto life, Romans 6:4-11. So through Christ we have been delivered from sin. God is not a man that He should lie and if our Father has proclaimed that we are delivered from every evil work and preserved unto His Kingdom, than we are delivered from every evil work unto His Kingdom! Done deal, absolute, with no chance of failure! When God empowered us to believe, we won, just as Jesus won!
