Victrory Is Our Sign

“They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” Mark 16:18

Really take hold of and notice that Jesus does not say that our testimony about Him would be the sign of our unity with God, but rather that the miraculous works of God through us would be the sign! Deadly drinks and poisonous snakes kill men, but they have no effect on God and on those whom God indwells! “And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand. And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, no doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffereth not to live. And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm.” Acts 28:3-5 Paul didn’t have super human power, God had the power, and God is exactly the same within us, He never changes!

God allowed Paul to be bitten by the snake, Daniel to be cast into the lions den, Goliath to taunt David, and Jesus to endure the Cross. Persecution will arise for the Words sake, but God will never leave us or forsake and through Christ we are always and eternally more than conquerors! No weapon, and there are many weapons, that are formed against us will ever prosper. God working through us is the sign of His Truth and His Truth sets us free! So welcome the attacks, rejoice in the tribulation, for we have been counted as worthy to be used by God to glorify His Kingdom!

Why Signs?

“And Jesus said unto them, Go into all the world, and preach the Gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In My Name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak in new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” Mark 16:15-18

Why did Jesus say signs? He could have said works, but Jesus said signs! Jesus said that signs would follow us because we are the living testament that God is real! People see our Father through us; they see works and actions that man is incapable of! Our Father does His miraculous works through us and only He can perform the works of God. “Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak unto you I speak not of Myself: but the Father that dwelleth in Me, He doth the works.” John 15:10

Jesus told the people clearly that it was not Him doing the works, but that it was God doing the works through Him! And then to confirm His testimony, Jesus told the people to look at the works that were happening through Him. “Believe Me that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me: or else believe Me for the very works sake.” John 15:11 We should say the exact same thing as we are ministering. “People believe that we are saved and believe that we are in God and that He is in us through Jesus Christ our Lord. Or believe that we are saved and united with God because it is our Father working within us and we are not harmed by deadly drinks or snakes. Believe that we are saved and united with God because devils flee from us, believe because we speak in new tongues, and believe because God leads us to lay hands on the sick and they recover!” Jesus told the people to believe because of the works they saw God performing through Him, and Jesus tells us that we will see the works of God being performed through us.

Signs prove we are saved: signs both for us and for the entire world to see. “Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on Me through their word. That they all may be one; as Thou, Father, art in Me, and I in Thee, that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that Thou hast sent Me.” John 17:20-21 We are one with God, just as Jesus is One with God, and as Jesus was used by God as a sign of His presence and His love, so shall we be used as a sign! Jesus didn’t come and minister with just Words, even though His Words are eternal. Jesus came in action and in deed, and God doesn’t change, He is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow! “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.” Hebrews 13:8

Signs Will Follow Us

“And Jesus said unto them, Go into all the world, and preach the Gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In My Name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak in new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” Mark 16:15-18

If we believe in Jesus and are baptized with God’s Holy Spirit, we shall be saved; no questions, no doubts, and no maybes about it, it’s an absolute Truth, and if we don’t believe in Him, we shall be damned! It doesn’t get any clearer than that! God would that all men be saved and He has given us all the measure of faith to accept and believe in Jesus, so that we all can be saved! “For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.” Romans 12:3 The Truth will set us free and faith comes from hearing God’s absolute Truth! “Who will have all men saved, and come to the knowledge of the Truth.” 1 Timothy 2:4

The Truth is that all who believe and are saved will have the signs that Jesus spoke of in Mark 16 following them! Jesus doesn’t lie and Jesus said that signs will follow us; no questions, no qualifications, and no doubts. If we believe that Jesus is Lord and are baptized with the Holy Spirit these signs will follow us, it’s an absolute Truth! That is the awesome Truth about God, He is absolute and His Word is absolute and eternal! Heaven and earth will pass away, but the Truth that these signs will follow all who believe will still be around! We will cast out devils! We will speak with new tongues! Poisonous snakes and deadly drinks will not harm us! And in the authority of the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we will lay hands on the sick and they will recover! All who believe in Jesus as Lord shall have these signs following them, all of us who believe! These signs will not just follow preachers or evangelist; all of us will have these miraculous signs following us! Because it is God within all of us doing the works of His righteousness and these signs follow God!

Jesus Has Subdued And Cast Our Sin From Us

"He will turn again, He will have compassion upon us; He will subdue our iniquities; and Thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea." Micah 7:19

Hundreds of years before Jesus came to the earth, God was showing those who believed in Him, what we would have. Look at what God revealed to Micah, a people whose iniquities were subdued by God Himself and not that their sins were just going to be subdued, but that their sins were going to be cast from them! Micah saw complete separation from sin! Micah was so sure of what he had heard from God, that he wrote as if he were part of it. He knew God would have compassion on him and on all who believed as well! God had revealed the same Truth to King David. "Even David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin." Romans 4:6-8

I felt led to finish this study on our freedom from sin with these two verses from the Old Covenant. These two men were never able to live in the freedom that we now live in, yet they preached about it as if they were part of it! They weren’t angry that we would have something that they did not have. They rejoiced in our freedom, and in Jesus’ Name, the fullness of these Truths will be preached from every street corner and the world will believe and be saved! Sin is not the force that so many preach that it is, for those who have accepted Jesus as Lord, sin has been destroyed and Jesus has separated us from it! Salvation means that we are free from the power, the presence, the pleasure, and the penalty of sin! The Truth will set us free! Jesus be magnified by the power of God within us!

We Now Have An Eteranl Life Free From Condemnation

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth My word, and believeth on Him that sent Me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. Verily, verily, I say unto you the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live." John 5:24-25

We have passed from death, the place where God was unable to use and fellowship with us, unto life, the place where God can now freely be one with us as He eternally works through us! We will never thirst again and through Christ we will never be in darkness. "I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on Me should not abide in darkness." John 12:46 Through Christ we have crucified our flesh and its power to allow sin in has been destroyed! Every power of evil that came through the weakness of our flesh has been done away with, by the victorious power of Christ! "And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts." Galatians 5:24 The lusts of the flesh, the sin of the flesh, the burdens of the flesh, the sicknesses of the flesh, all have been crucified with Christ. Jesus has made us free and through Him we are free indeed! "Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by Whose stripes ye were healed." 1 Peter 2:24 Through Jesus we are dead to sin! Through Jesus we live unto righteousness! And through Jesus we are healed, Christ has made us completely whole: spirit, soul, and body!

No Charge Can Be Laid Against Us

"Who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, Who is even at the right hand of God, Who also maketh intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, for Thy sake we are killed all the day long; for we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us." Romans 8:33-37

There is now no one and there is now no thing to lay any charge against us. There is now no situation that can separate us from our Father and because there isn’t, God is free to conquer all of the forces of evil through us! Our Father can now use us as vessels of His honor, and through us, He will abundantly accomplish all that His eternal Word has proclaimed! "But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life." John 4:14 Without sin in our lives to hinder God, He will flow through us, and His righteousness and His glory will be evident for all to see! “If ye know that He is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of Him.” 1 John 2:29 People will know that we are born from the Incorruptible Seed of the Living God, because they will see His righteousness flowing freely from within us! Just as they saw it freely flowing through Jesus, they will see it through us. Faith comes from hearing the Truth and the Truth will set us free!

Through Christ We Can Actually Know God

“And this is life eternal, that they might know Thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, Whom Thou hast sent.” John 17:3

The gift of God goes so much farther and is so much more powerful for us, than just permitting us to live under grace and being free from sin. The gift of God is eternal and His gift means we can actually know Him! Grace allows us to know God! Grace allows God to reveal Himself completely to us, grace liberates us from sin, and grace liberates God from the separation with man that sinned created! The chasm has been filled in and God can now serve us completely as He has always desired to do. The Blood of our Savior has allowed God to be the God to us that He has always desired to be! Through Christ, and the power of His Blood, God can allow us in and He can come into us, and there will never be any separation between us again! Jesus has taken away all of the sin of the world that separated us from God. "The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world." John 1:29 In Jesus there is no sin, none whatsoever and we are now in Him! In Jesus we have safety and in Jesus there is no occasion for us to stumble; Jesus allows us to walk in the Light as He is in the Light. Over and over we see through God’s Word that the power of sin has been done away with! Sin cannot stand against the power of Christ, the Light drives out all of the darkness and all of the consequences of darkness. Jesus has destroyed sin and all of its penalties for us who believe, and our bodies that could sin, have been destroyed as well! All of the ordinances and handwritings that were against us, the law, have been removed from us, by the authority and power of Christ. Jesus came to save us and He succeeded, so that the righteousness of God might be completely fulfilled within us.

The power of the shed Blood of Jesus is so strong, that even if we mess up, and God is forced to burn up some of our works, we still will be saved. Go ask Adam how powerful that Truth is! “If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself will be saved; yet so as by fire.” 1 Corinthians 3:15 God proclaims that He will lead us, that He will guide us, and that He will keep us. In virtually every book of the New Testament and in several from the Old Testament, we see that the power of Jesus’ salvation is to set us free from sin and to give us eternal life with God. Jesus said it, Paul said it, Peter said it, John said it, Jude said it, King David said it, Isaiah, Micah, and Ezekiel all said it. These are some pretty powerful voices and not only did God use them to say it, He had them say it over and over again. The wage of sin is death, but we have life, and we have life abundantly! Christ is able now to live abundantly through us, as is His will, and we are able to live abundantly through Him! Through Christ we have abundant freedom from sin, we have abundant righteousness, we have abundant knowledge, abundant love, abundant peace, abundant joy, abundant health, abundant hope, and abundant faith! All of the abundance that God has given Jesus is now our abundance as well. Jesus has held nothing back from us, He has given us all that He has!

Our Gift From God Is Eternal Life

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23

The wage of sin is death, yet for us, there is now no death, because for us, there is now no sin. Jesus has removed us from death unto life! “Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life; he that believeth in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in Me shall never die. Believest thou this? John 11:25-26 We have been given the gift of God and His gift is glorious and His gift is victorious and His gift is eternal! We shall abide with God forever and He will never leave us or forsake us, “..for He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” Hebrews 13:5 Though we were dead, we live, and we live abundantly, as our Lord Jesus lives abundantly! We now eternally live unto to God and through Christ we are eternally free from sin, just as our Lord lives unto to God and is free from sin! As Jesus died unto sin once, so have we! “For in that He died, He died unto sin once: but in that He liveth, He liveth unto God. Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:10-11 Sin has lost all dominion and power over us, because we have now yielded to God, and we have been freed from all of the ordinances and all of the laws that were contrary to us, so that through Christ we might live under grace! “For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.” Romans 6:14 “Being then made free from sin, ye became servants of righteousness.” Romans 6:18

If We Truly Believe We Now Have Everlasting Life

"That whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:15-16

Once we say yes to Jesus and make Him the Lord of our lives, we shall never perish. Hallelujah, we shall never perish, that is peace that passes all understanding! God doesn’t say maybe here, God’s Truth teaches us that if we believe, we will never perish! Jesus is the Author and Finisher of our ability to believe, and He definitely believes, there is no doubt within Him, so we have everlasting life, no doubt about it! God not only proclaims that we shall never perish, which is awesome in and of itself, but He proclaims that through Jesus we are more than conquerors! “Nay, in all things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us.” Romans 8:37 We just don’t get by, we have God within us performing His works of righteousness, we win and overcome everything that comes against us. Anything that comes against us is coming against God and God is a conqueror! There is no weapon that is formed that can stand against God, so there is no weapon that is formed against us that can prosper! Jesus has taken every power and principality that was against us, and He took every ordinance that the forces of darkness used against us, and He nailed them all to the Cross! And He made a shew of them openly and triumphed over them openly. Jesus has finished it and because He has, we now have life, and we now have life abundantly! We have an abundant life, just as our Lord has an abundant life, because we are now one with Him! As He lives abundantly, so do we, even while we are on this earth!

This Truth being lived through us is what will set the world free!

We Are Alive In Christ And We Are Hated For It

"Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you. We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death." 1 John 3:13-14

The world will hate us for believing that we cannot sin through the power of Christ! They will hate us because their father is satan, and as he is, so are they in this world! The freedom from fear, that comes with the Truth that we have freedom from sin, scares the day lights out of satan. He only has a spirit of fear and he will do everything that he can to conceal the Truth that sets us free. Wolves in sheep’s clothing have come into religion and they have preached that we have sin. The confess that we will always have sin, that we are just men, and our humanity will always hinder us! Notice where the focus always is with these types of sermons, it’s on us and not on God.

As long as satan can keep the focus on man and on man’s own human abilities, our own abilities to serve, we will always fall short. But our Father is stronger than satan and we have been given the Holy Ghost to teach us all of God’s Truth. The Truth of our Father has set us free and those in the world will hate us for it! They will fight us, condemn us, and say all manner of evil against us. But that’s all right, those whom Jesus has set free, are free indeed! They called Jesus the devil, what do you think they will call us? But through our unity with God, they will see our freedom in Christ and they will believe. They will be born again of the same Incorruptible Seed that we are born from, and they will pass from death unto life.

We have been made perfect in one, and the world will believe, and they will know that God loves us, just as He loves Jesus! They will see this, because of our love for them, the same exact love that God has for them. They will see our Father through us and they will believe! Satan is fearful of us. He is tormented by the fear of the power of our Father within us and the lies that he lives in have imprisoned him! They will hate us, but we will love them, with the very power of God’s Own love, and they will believe, and their Father will be God! This is the faith of the glorious church whom our Father has made us part of!

God Allows Us To Know Our Freedom From Sin

"I have given them Thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I pray not that Thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that Thou shouldest keep them from the evil." John 17:14-15

Jesus was praying here right before He was crucified and He prayed that God would keep us from evil. God has honored Jesus’ request and He did it by destroying our bodies that could sin, and with it God also destroyed satan’s abilities to triumph against us! We are now crucified with Christ, yet nevertheless we live, yet it is not us who is alive, it is Christ in us, Galatians 2:20. God gave us His Holy Spirit, to strengthen us and guide us! God gave us a spirit of faith, of love, and of power, and He cast out our spirit of fear, by perfecting His love within us! God gave us His Seed, to remain eternally within us, and because He did we cannot sin! God has made us one with His Son and our Savior, Jesus, and Jesus abides permanently within God’s house, and since He does we shall never fall away! Jesus prayed God’s will while on this earth and God has honored His will, and He has delivered us and keeps us from all evil!

God isn’t double minded. “A double minded man is unstable in all of his ways.” James 1:8 God hasn’t given us a double mind either; He has given us the mind of Christ! Jesus knows who His Father is and we have that same mind within us. We have the wisdom of the mind of Christ and the Knowledge of the mind of Christ! We have a mind that knows the power of our salvation, and a mind that knows the full cleansing power from sin that the Blood of Christ possesses! Our mind can accept these Truths and our mind has the ability to have peace and joy in believing these Truths! The mind of Christ doesn’t believe that we are still sinners; the mind of Christ knows that we have been born again of God and it knows completely that He is now our Father! Our mind knows that we once were in darkness, but now through Christ we are in the Light! Our mind knows what we have been delivered from, and our mind, the mind of Christ, is sure of what we have been delivered unto! Our mind knows that we have complete and total righteousness, and freedom from sin, because of the power of Jesus’ sacrifice! Our minds know that faith comes from hearing God’s Truth and that His Truth sets us free! The wage of sin is death, but our mind knows that we have passed from death unto life! “Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life; he that believeth in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in Me shall never die. Believest thou this? John 11:25-26 We have been given an anointed mind from God that knows that we shall never die!

God Made Us To Be Like Him

“Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as He is, so are we in this world.” 1 John 4:17

We are like our Father, Who is God, even while we are here in this earth. We are glorious, because Jesus has given us His glory! We are perfect, because Jesus has perfected us! We are powerful, because it is our Father working through us! We do not fear, because God’s perfected love within us has cast out all fear! We cannot sin, because God’s Seed, the same Incorruptible Seed that keeps God from sinning, has birthed us! O, that one might have just struck a nerve? God sin? Think about it, why can’t God sin? He can’t sin because He is God! Well, His Seed, the same Seed that cannot sin, has birthed you and I! An apple seed produces an apple tree, not an orange tree! It should be every bit as much of an offense to hear that we could sin, as it is to hear that God could sin. We are birthed from the same Seed, Who and What God is, His very makeup (His Godly DNA), is what we are now made up of! We were re-created in His image, in true righteousness and true holiness! “And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.” Ephesians 4:23-24

Just as we think and have faith in the Truth that Jesus can’t sin; that it is impossible for Him to sin, this is how we should think and have faith in who He has made us, as members of His body! “For in that He died, He died unto sin once: but in that He liveth, He liveth unto God. Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:10-11

To have faith in this is true humility, because it totally has to be God doing the works. God chose to birth us and He chose to birth us from His very Seed. To accept and live in the perfection that He has freely given us is to truly accept Jesus as Lord and Savior! Faith comes for us by hearing the Truth of who and what God has made us.

Jesus Was Manifested To Take Away Our Sin

"And ye know that He was manifested to take away our sins; and in Him is no sin. Whosoever abideth in Him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen Him, neither known Him." 1 John 3:5-6

Jesus has completed all of the tasks required for our perfection! Man had absolutely no ability to even keep the simplest of the laws before Christ came. Think about it, God said that man should not make any graven images, and yet, at the first sign of trouble, graven images abounded! This is a very basic and simple law to keep; yet man had absolutely no ability to keep it! God also asked man to keep just one day a week holy and that was too much to handle. Man messed the Sabbath Day up so badly, that when Jesus healed people on it, they wanted to kill Him for it! The Sabbath was made for man, not for God!

So we really can’t preach that we have any ability on our on to perform any acts that will allow our Father to move in our lives! It is only God within us, He does the works, and God can work through us because it was Jesus who paid the price, so that He can! If it where up to us to act right, and not sin, so that God could come in and accomplish something, nothing would ever be accomplished! Man cannot even keep a day! But with the power of God within us, there is nothing that we cannot do, because there is nothing that He cannot do! We don’t sin, because God’s Seed remains within us. We don’t sin, because every law that was contrary to us, was destroyed and taken out of our way! We don’t sin, because greater is He that is in us, than he that is in the world! We don’t sin, because God is our Father! Man cannot have two Fathers; we can only have one. If God is our Father, than sin has no ability to be within us, because to be born of God, means the Blood of Christ has been applied to our life's, and that Blood cleanses us from all sin!

Through Christ We Are Washed From Sin

"And from Jesus Christ, Who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own blood. And hath made us kings and priests unto God and His Father; to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. A-men." Revelation 1:5-6

We have been bathed in the Blood of the Lamb, and the Blood of the Lamb has completely and totally cleansed us from all unrighteousness! We have been Anointed with the Blood of Jesus Christ, and through that anointing, we have become the kings of this earth and priests unto God our Father! Through Christ our Kingdom is strong, our enemies have been destroyed, no weapon that is formed against us will ever prosper, and now all things work for good for us! This is what it means to be saved; this is the omnipotent power of Christ! "No weapon that is formed against us shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of Me, saith the Lord." Isaiah 54:17

The glory of our power is all from Jesus. Jesus has made us Kings and Jesus has made us able to be Priests unto God! He is eternally faithful to serve us and His Blood is eternally powerful, and since He is, we are saved to the uttermost!
