Through Christ We Can Actually Know God

“And this is life eternal, that they might know Thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, Whom Thou hast sent.” John 17:3

The gift of God goes so much farther and is so much more powerful for us, than just permitting us to live under grace and being free from sin. The gift of God is eternal and His gift means we can actually know Him! Grace allows us to know God! Grace allows God to reveal Himself completely to us, grace liberates us from sin, and grace liberates God from the separation with man that sinned created! The chasm has been filled in and God can now serve us completely as He has always desired to do. The Blood of our Savior has allowed God to be the God to us that He has always desired to be! Through Christ, and the power of His Blood, God can allow us in and He can come into us, and there will never be any separation between us again! Jesus has taken away all of the sin of the world that separated us from God. "The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world." John 1:29 In Jesus there is no sin, none whatsoever and we are now in Him! In Jesus we have safety and in Jesus there is no occasion for us to stumble; Jesus allows us to walk in the Light as He is in the Light. Over and over we see through God’s Word that the power of sin has been done away with! Sin cannot stand against the power of Christ, the Light drives out all of the darkness and all of the consequences of darkness. Jesus has destroyed sin and all of its penalties for us who believe, and our bodies that could sin, have been destroyed as well! All of the ordinances and handwritings that were against us, the law, have been removed from us, by the authority and power of Christ. Jesus came to save us and He succeeded, so that the righteousness of God might be completely fulfilled within us.

The power of the shed Blood of Jesus is so strong, that even if we mess up, and God is forced to burn up some of our works, we still will be saved. Go ask Adam how powerful that Truth is! “If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself will be saved; yet so as by fire.” 1 Corinthians 3:15 God proclaims that He will lead us, that He will guide us, and that He will keep us. In virtually every book of the New Testament and in several from the Old Testament, we see that the power of Jesus’ salvation is to set us free from sin and to give us eternal life with God. Jesus said it, Paul said it, Peter said it, John said it, Jude said it, King David said it, Isaiah, Micah, and Ezekiel all said it. These are some pretty powerful voices and not only did God use them to say it, He had them say it over and over again. The wage of sin is death, but we have life, and we have life abundantly! Christ is able now to live abundantly through us, as is His will, and we are able to live abundantly through Him! Through Christ we have abundant freedom from sin, we have abundant righteousness, we have abundant knowledge, abundant love, abundant peace, abundant joy, abundant health, abundant hope, and abundant faith! All of the abundance that God has given Jesus is now our abundance as well. Jesus has held nothing back from us, He has given us all that He has!
