God Made Us To Be Like Him

“Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as He is, so are we in this world.” 1 John 4:17

We are like our Father, Who is God, even while we are here in this earth. We are glorious, because Jesus has given us His glory! We are perfect, because Jesus has perfected us! We are powerful, because it is our Father working through us! We do not fear, because God’s perfected love within us has cast out all fear! We cannot sin, because God’s Seed, the same Incorruptible Seed that keeps God from sinning, has birthed us! O, that one might have just struck a nerve? God sin? Think about it, why can’t God sin? He can’t sin because He is God! Well, His Seed, the same Seed that cannot sin, has birthed you and I! An apple seed produces an apple tree, not an orange tree! It should be every bit as much of an offense to hear that we could sin, as it is to hear that God could sin. We are birthed from the same Seed, Who and What God is, His very makeup (His Godly DNA), is what we are now made up of! We were re-created in His image, in true righteousness and true holiness! “And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.” Ephesians 4:23-24

Just as we think and have faith in the Truth that Jesus can’t sin; that it is impossible for Him to sin, this is how we should think and have faith in who He has made us, as members of His body! “For in that He died, He died unto sin once: but in that He liveth, He liveth unto God. Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:10-11

To have faith in this is true humility, because it totally has to be God doing the works. God chose to birth us and He chose to birth us from His very Seed. To accept and live in the perfection that He has freely given us is to truly accept Jesus as Lord and Savior! Faith comes for us by hearing the Truth of who and what God has made us.
