Revelation 6
1THEN I saw as the Lamb broke open one of the seven seals, and as if in a voice of thunder I heard one of the four living creatures call out, Come!
2And I looked, and saw there a white horse whose rider carried a bow. And a crown was given him, and he rode forth conquering and to conquer.(A)
In the Bible a horse is often used to show power and strength for battle. Job 39:19, Psalm 137:10. A crown represents a ruler or ruler ship. This horseman is the only one of the 4 given a crown.
I am not sure that the colors raise any real prophetic meaning, white is used to describe purity and red to describe sin, but black and pale aren’t used to describe any prophetic meanings?
3And when He broke the second seal, I heard the second living creature call out, Come!
4And another horse came out, flaming red. And its rider was empowered to take the peace from the earth, so that men slaughtered one another; and he was given a huge sword.
5When He broke open the third seal, I heard the third living creature call out, Come and look! And I saw, and behold, a black horse, and in his hand the rider had a pair of scales (a balance).
6And I heard what seemed to be a voice from the midst of the four living creatures, saying, A quart of wheat for a denarius [a whole day's wages], and three quarts of barley for a denarius; but do not harm the oil and the wine! [II Kings 6:25.]
7When the Lamb broke open the fourth seal, I heard the fourth living creature call out, Come!
8So I looked, and behold, an ashy pale horse [[a]black and blue as if made so by bruising], and its rider's name was Death, and Hades (the realm of the dead) followed him closely. And they were given authority and power over a fourth part of the earth to kill with the sword and with famine and with plague (pestilence, disease) and with wild beasts of the earth.(B)
In Revelation 7 we read that these for Horseman, or 4 winds, are held back until God can choose, or seal, all of His chosen ones.
Also notice that these 4 Horseman hurt men and nations, conquer, taking peace, slaughter men, create great inflation, and they were given power over a ¼ part of the earth to kill and destroy. They were not given power over all of the earth, only a 1/4th part of the earth, and yet they could not come until every chosen one of God was sealed.
Only one horseman is given a crown, the one who conquers, the others would seem to work under him. With conquering comes war, killings, no peace, inflation, and death. I believe that the horseman is an angel, in Revelation 7:2 the Word teaches us that these 4 angels were given authority. They were given this authority by our Father to pour out His wrath and they are held at bay until our Father tells them to go and it is clear that our Father only gives them limited power over a 1/4th of the earth. God is always in charge.
9When the Lamb broke open the fifth seal, I saw at the foot of the altar the souls of those whose lives had been sacrificed for [adhering to] the Word of God and for the testimony they had borne.
10They cried in a loud voice, O [Sovereign] Lord, holy and true, how long now before You will sit in judgment and avenge our blood upon those who dwell on the earth?(C)
11Then they were each given a [b]long and flowing and festive white robe and told to rest and wait patiently a little while longer, until the number should be complete of their fellow servants and their brethren who were to be killed as they themselves had been.
These chosen ones did not die from disease, pestilence, drinking the bitter water, they were sacrificed, killed for being used by the Holy Spirit to testify of Jesus and the Kingdom. Look at Stephen and John, Peter, and Paul when they were beaten. If God allows us to be sacrificed He anoints us with power to glory during it.
The white robes represent that they are pure and that they were victorious.
12When He [the Lamb] broke open the sixth seal, I looked, and there was a great earthquake; and the sun grew black as sackcloth of hair, [the full disc of] the moon became like blood.(D)
13And the stars of the sky dropped to the earth like a fig tree shedding its unripe fruit out of season when shaken by a strong wind.(E)
14And the [c]sky rolled up like a scroll and vanished, and every mountain and island was dislodged from its place.
15Then the kings of the earth and their noblemen and their magnates and their military chiefs and the wealthy and the strong and [everyone, whether] slave or free hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains,(F)
16And they called to the mountains and the rocks, Fall on (before) us and hide us from the face of Him Who sits on the throne and from the [d]deep-seated indignation and wrath of the Lamb.(G)
17For the great day of His wrath (vengeance, retribution, indignation) has come, and who is able to stand before it?
After a 1/4th part of the earth was controlled by the 4 horseman, then we sea a change, and there are asteroids hitting the earth, great earthquakes, the sky roles back, and the sun is darkened and moon looks like blood. These events effect a 1/3rd of the earth, Revelation 8, the Trumpets. Just as science today shows, a very small asteroid hitting the earth even a major earthquake, or volcano effects great expanses of the earth. There is a change here. People have seen a 1/4th of the earth fighting and they have seen people being killed and now they see these natural disasters. They have also seen the saints being killed for their testimony. There is great despair and as all these things are happening the chosen ones of God are preaching with power and demonstration of the Spirit, so much so that the leaders of the world and all of the world are saying that this is the wrath of God. How will they hear without a preacher and how shall we preach unless we are sent.
Revelation 7
AFTER THIS I saw four angels stationed at the four corners of the earth, [a]firmly holding back the four winds of the earth so that no wind should blow on the earth or sea or upon any tree.
The events of Revelation are not in chronological order. It keeps going back and building on itself. So John is shown these riders being empowered and what they will be able to do, then He is shown the Truth that they cannot do what they are called to do until God says so. The 7 seals, 7 trumpets, and 7 plagues are all happening at the same time. The 4 horseman, are all harming a 1/4th part of the earth at the same time.
I also believe the four winds, 4 horsemen, are fallen angels, while else would they need to be held back. If they were of God they just wouldn’t go until they were told to go.
2Then I saw a second angel coming up from the east (the rising of the sun) and carrying the seal of the living God. And with a loud voice he called out to the four angels who had been given authority and power to injure earth and sea,
God gave these 4 angels authority and power not satan. They can only do what God has permitted. Our Father is always in charge, this is His wrath, not satans vengeance. Satan is never in control, he can only do what our Father permits!
3Saying, Harm neither the earth nor the sea nor the trees, until we have sealed the bond servants of our God upon their foreheads.(B)
Since the 4 Horsemen deal with hurting men, the earth represents the rural or sparsely populated regions of the earth. The seas represent the metropolitan areas, and the trees represent the nations. The Truth is no chosen one can be harmed by the instruments of God’s wrath.
The term forehead is used a lot in the Book of Revelation. Our foreheads are plan to see, they are right there in front of everyone. So it will be plain to see who is of God and who is not of Him. This is plain to see because it is the Holy Spirit within us, the fire in our belly’s, that makes us that way. Right now it’s not so plain to see, we have to test the spirits, 1 John 4:1. But during the Great Tribulation it will be plain to see who is saved and who isn’t!
Also remember that the 4 horsemen have only been given power of a 1/4th part of the earth. But the prophesy does not say that only the saved in a 1/4th part of the earth be sealed. We are a body, one heart, one mind, and one accord. There are not several bodies, but one!
4And [then] I heard how many were sealed (marked) out of every tribe of the sons of Israel: there were 144,000.
5Twelve thousand were sealed (marked) out of the tribe of Judah, 12,000 of the tribe of Reuben, 12,000 of the tribe of Gad,
6Twelve thousand of the tribe of Asher, 12,000 of the tribe of Naphtali, 12,000 of the tribe of Manasseh,
7Twelve thousand of the tribe of Simeon, 12,000 of the tribe of Levi, 12,000 of the tribe of Issachar,
8Twelve thousand of the tribe of Zebulun, 12,000 of the tribe of Joseph, 12,000 of the tribe of Benjamin.
When each one of these children were born their mothers spoke out a saying about them. So when we put together those sayings in the order in which they are listed here, this is what we have:
Praise God, He has seen my affliction, and His good fortune has come. I am happy blessed and to be envied, for God has seen my struggle and He has caused me to forget all of it. I was despised, but now Jesus is my husband and companion. God has given me my hire and my marriage gift by taken away my reproach. And now I am seated as a son at His right hand!
9After this I looked and a vast host appeared which no one could count, [gathered out] of every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages. These stood before the throne and before the Lamb; they were attired in white robes, with palm branches in their hands.
We have been raised up together and made to sit together in Heavenly places in Christ Jesus right now, and salvation is for everyone now, all nations, all tribes, and all peoples now. So this does not mean that our physical bodies have to be in Heaven during this event of the Great Tribulation.
There is a certain number of God’s elect that have to come into being before the Great Tribulation and the Wrath of God can begin.
Notice here that these people are before the Throne they are not seated in the Throne with Jesus.
10In loud voice they cried, saying, [Our] salvation is due to our God, Who is seated on the throne, and to the Lamb [to Them we owe our deliverance]!
Our salvation is due to Jesus and our Father. Salvation means:
deliverance, preservation, safety, salvation
deliverance from the molestation of enemies
in an ethical sense, that which concludes to the souls safety or salvation
salvation as the present possession of all true Christians
future salvation, the sum of benefits and blessings which the Christians, redeemed from all earthly ills, will enjoy after the visible return of Christ from heaven in the consummated and eternal kingdom of God.
Fourfold salvation: saved from the penalty, power, presence and most importantly the pleasure of sin.
We have all of the benefits of salvation right now and it is due to Jesus and our Father.
Notice that we have been sealed. Sealed by the Holy Spirit and that would allow us to be saved from all of the instruments of our Father’s wrath that was being poured out by the four winds. We would be delivered, preserved, and safe from wrath while on this earth. We do not have to be in Heaven to be safe. The Truth that we are still around and that there hasn’t been a pre-tribulation rapture will become clearer as we study on.
11And all the angels were standing round the throne and round the elders [[b]of the heavenly Sanhedrin] and the four living creatures, and they fell prostrate before the throne and worshiped God.
12Amen! (So be it!) they cried. Blessing and glory and majesty and splendor and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and might [be ascribed] to our God to the ages and ages (forever and ever, throughout the eternities of the eternities)! Amen! (So be it!)
The leadership of Heaven all agree with what is happening on earth. Our Father, Jesus, the 24 Elders, the 4 living creatures that see everything, and the angels are all in full agreement. Out of the mouth of two or three let everything be confirmed.
13Then, addressing me, one of the elders [[c]of the heavenly Sanhedrin] said, Who are these [people] clothed in the long white robes? And from where have they come?
14I replied, Sir, you know. And he said to me, These are they who have come out of the great tribulation (persecution), and have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.(C)
Notice that John writes that these people came out of the Great Tribulation, not that they came out of the world or earth. The Great Tribulation is not a place but an event.
Right now we are on this earth and we come out of battles, or we come out of wars, or out of a trial. Right now on this earth we have been washed with the Blood of Jesus, this does not happen when we get to Heaven, but when we are chosen and saved. So it does not mean that we have been removed from the world. Even though we are in the world, we are not of the world. This only teaches us that these people have come out of the Tribulation. They are protected from the wrath of our Father.
15For this reason they are [now] before the [very] throne of God and serve Him day and night in His sanctuary (temple); and He Who is sitting upon the throne will protect and spread His tabernacle over and shelter them with His presence.
Once again we are before the Throne, not seated in it with Jesus.
We are now the Temples of God, as we will be during the time of the Great Tribulation, even though we are not in it, we are still in these bodies, sealed and empowered by the Holy Spirit to be used by our Father, servants night and day. Never ending service protected and used by God Himself.
Ask yourself this question, how do we serve God? Does God need us to serve Him in Heaven? How would we serve Him there? We serve our Father in His Temple (which is our bodies) by being used by Him to witness to the lost, minister to our brothers and sisters, and overcome the wicked one. This is how we serve our Father, in Heaven we rule and reign with Him, on the earth we serve Him.
Think of the service that we can provide during this time of tribulation. Think on the miracles that our Father can perform through us. This is a wonderful time to be used by God to do greater works than Jesus was used for while He was here on the earth as a man.
16They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun smite them, nor any [d]scorching heat.(D)
The four winds and the 7 trumpets will sound, there will be no peace, the sun will be scorching the earth, the waters of the earth will be turned bitter, a 1/3 of the population will die by drinking the bitter waters. And yet Jesus will cause us to be fed, the suns heat will not hurt us, and we shall have water to drink. This is a time of our Fathers wrath and we are not appointed to wrath, but to righteousness.
Can you see now why all the nations of the world will hate us. They will think to themselves these people are not better than us, why do they not suffer. So when we are used by God the jealousy of the fake religious people of the world will be even greater than that when Jesus was here. Rulers will fear us, as they are desperately trying to have all the answers so that they can maintain their power. This is a great time for us to be used by our Father to show just how great He is. No one will be able to say that they did not know for the Gospel will be preached to every nation with great power and demonstration!
But before this can happen the great apostasy of the false Christians must take place. Many who have played around with Christ will fall away.
17For the Lamb Who is in the midst of the throne will be their Shepherd, and He will guide them to the springs of the waters of life; and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes
Notice that God will wipe away our tears, not that He did wipe away our tears. Do we have tears in Heaven? Notice that Jesus will guide us to the springs of water. In Heaven the river runs right down the middle of it, will we need guided to it? Our bodies have not been raised yet, that happens at the last trumpet, do our spirits get thirsty? Or scorched by the sun? Is Jesus our Shepherd in Heaven, or in Heaven do we rule and reign with Him? This is why we stand before Him as we do now and just as we do now, we thank Him that we are saved from our enemies and during the Time of the Great Tribulation from the wrath of our Father.
Think of how people look to governments now for the answers, and then think of how fruitless they will be during the Great Tribulation, just as they have no real answers now during the Great Tribulation governments will be useless! Just think of how we will be hated as the sun does not harm us, as we do not hunger even though they say that we cannot buy, and how we have clear clean water to drink as a 1/3 of the world is dying from the bitter water. We will be cursed, and blamed for it. And just as with our Lord Jesus, we will be used by our Father to tell them all exactly how they too can have it and we will be used by God to perform miracles to help them, and yet they will absolutely be consumed with jealousy and envy and hate for us. If we were going through it like they are, they could care less about us!
Revelation 8
WHEN HE [the Lamb] broke open the seventh seal, there was silence for about half an hour in heaven.
Half hour is a brief moment in time. So in Heaven there is silence for a brief moment in time.
Think about right before something really huge is about to finally come together, how we stop to watch.
2Then I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and to them were given seven trumpets.
Now John is shown something different, the seventh seal was the end and now John is taken back to the beginning and the 7 trumpets are shown him to further clarify the Revelation of Jesus Christ.
Trumpets in the Bible represent loud warnings of our Fathers approach, Joshua 6:4-5, Exodus 19:16-17.
3And another angel came and stood over the altar. He had a golden censer, and he was given very much incense (fragrant spices and gums which exhale perfume when burned), that he might mingle it with the prayers of all the people of God (the saints) upon the golden altar before the throne.(A)
The prayers of the saints are sweat to God. It is us communicating with Him and He communicating with us. It’s fellowship.
4And the smoke of the incense (the perfume) arose in the presence of God, with the prayers of the people of God (the saints), from the hand of the angel.
5So the angel took the censer and filled it with fire from the altar and cast it upon the earth. Then there followed peals of thunder and loud rumblings and blasts and noises, and flashes of lightning and an earthquake.(B)
Fire is the power of the Holy Spirit; we are baptized with the Holy Spirit and with fire, power! “John answered them all by saying, I baptize you with water; but He Who is mightier than I is coming, the strap of Whose sandals I am not fit to unfasten. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.” Luke 3:16 The power of God is poured out on His people who have been sealed and He uses them as never before! I believe that we are one body as never before, because there is going to be a great falling away of fake believers, “Let no one deceive or beguile you in any way, for that day will not come except the apostasy comes first [unless the predicted great falling away of those who have professed to be Christians has come], and the man of lawlessness (sin) is revealed, who is the son of doom (of perdition),” 2 Thessalonians 2:3. This will be a time of us being used by God to do the works that Jesus did and even greater works, John 14:12. John wrote in 1 John 4:17 that As Jesus is, so are we in this world. The Truth is that we are more than conquerors through Christ Who loves us, and Greater is He that is within us than he that is in the world! And here we see that there is only hot or cold, the lukewarm have been separated from the true chosen ones. And with the power comes lightening, thunders and earthquakes. Read Psalm 18 and you will see how God reacts when His people call upon Him and here we read a very similar description.
Before the trumpets were allowed to sound, the angel had to pour out the power of God upon His people, just as before the four winds were allowed to come we who were chosen had to be sealed. We are sealed with the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit is our power, our strength, He clearly shows us things to come, and teaches us all things as He causes us to remember everything that Jesus has spoken.
6Then the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared to sound them.
7The first angel blew [his] trumpet, and there was a storm of hail and fire mingled with blood cast upon the earth. And a third part of the earth was burned up and a third of the trees was burned up and all the green grass was burned up.
1st Trumpet right along with the 6th Seal, the change has happened after the first five seals, a 1/4th part of the earth was in war and under the control of the 4 horseman and people were being slaughtered in this 1/4th part of the earth and now a 1/3rd of the earth is being effected by natural disasters.
8The second angel blew [his] trumpet, and something resembling a great mountain, blazing with fire, was hurled into the sea.(D)
9And a third of the sea was turned to blood, a third of the living creatures in the sea perished, and a third of the ships were destroyed.
10The third angel blew [his] trumpet, and a huge star fell from heaven, burning like a torch, and it dropped on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water--
11And the name of the star is Wormwood. A third part of the waters was changed into wormwood, and many people died from using the water, because it had become bitter.
Think of a major asteroid hitting the earth, there would be several smaller pieces along with it and a 1/3rd of the earth is immediately affected. Many people would die from the impact and by having to use the bitter water. Nothing has told us that the 4 horseman are gone, so a small amount of wheat would be worth a whole days wages, peace would have been removed, death, killings, and opportunists trying to conquer the weak and fearful.
12Then the fourth angel blew [his] trumpet, and a third of the sun was smitten, and a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that [the light of] a third of them was darkened, and a third of the daylight [itself] was withdrawn, and likewise a third [of the light] of the night was kept from shining.
This still speaks of a 1/3rd, not the whole earth. The smoke and ash rising from the collisions would darken the sun, stars, and moons light.
13Then I [looked and I] saw a solitary eagle flying in midheaven, and as it flew I heard it crying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe to those who dwell on the earth, because of the rest of the trumpet blasts which the three angels are about to sound!
Now woe to those who dwell on the earth! Not a 1/4th of it, or a 1/3rd of it, but to all of it. Makes sense, war has ravaged a great part of the earth and now natural disasters are hurting even more of it. Of course it will reach all who live on the earth. Yet, we have been sealed, we have been empowered. Jesus is our Shepherd, the heat does not harm us, we do not thirst, and if we drink any deadly thing it will not harm us, Mark 16 is still in effect. Heaven and earth will pass away, yet our Fathers Truth’s still remain! And I believe that the Truth’s that we rely on today will be amplified, because believers will be unified as never before!
Revelation 9
1THEN THE fifth angel blew [his] trumpet, and I saw a star that had fallen from the sky to the earth; and to the angel was given the key [a]of the shaft of the Abyss (the bottomless pit).
Now we see another spiritual attack coming. The 4 horseman were fallen angels. Think for a moment of the evil that will arise when a 1/4th of the earth was in such a great war, so many dying and then a 1/3rd of the earth being hit with such natural disasters. Now we see even a greater spiritual evil arising.
Also notice the whole earth is not yet been consumed, there has to be somewhere for us to be Shepherd too, where we can eat, drink, and not be harmed by the effects of the natural disaster. The eagle cried out the woes are coming, but they are not yet here.
2He opened the [b]long shaft of the Abyss (the bottomless pit), and smoke like the smoke of a huge furnace puffed out of the [c]long shaft, so that the sun and the atmosphere were darkened by the smoke from the long shaft.(A)
The bottomless pit, the place where the devils begged Jesus not to send them when He came on the seen in Luke 8:31. This has to be one nasty place that even the devils fear it. This is a place where God has imprisoned His ultimate tools of wrath. Notice that the eagle cried out to the whole earth!
3Then out of the smoke locusts came forth on the earth, and such power was granted them as the power the earth's scorpions have.(B)
4They were told not to injure the herbage of the earth nor any green thing nor any tree, but only [to attack] such human beings as do not have the seal (mark) of God on their foreheads.
Once again we see that we are protected from physical, natural, and spiritual events of the Wrath of our Father.
Also notice that they were told that they could not harm the remaining food supply of the earth, they can only attack humans that are not sealed by the Holy Spirit. Once again we see that God is in total control, even telling the demons what they can and cannot do. We are so plainly marked that they know they cannot harm us. I am telling you the Church will be something very powerful during these times!
5They were not permitted to kill them, but to torment (distress, vex) them for five months; and the pain caused them was like the torture of a scorpion when it stings a person.
6And in those days people will seek death and will not find it; and they will yearn to die, but death evades and flees from them.(D)
I wonder how death evades people. I mean take a gun and blow your head off, yet death evades the people who are vexed. Can you imagine the distress that even people who are trying to die cannot.
7The locusts resembled horses equipped for battle. On their heads was something like golden crowns. Their faces resembled the faces of people.(E)
The horses represent power, they do not have crowns, but something like crowns, fake.
8They had hair like the hair of women, and their teeth were like lions' teeth.(F)
9Their breastplates (scales) resembled breastplates made of iron, and the [whirring] noise made by their wings was like the roar of a vast number of horse-drawn chariots going at full speed into battle.(G)
10They have tails like scorpions, and they have stings, and in their tails lies their ability to hurt men for [the] five months.
11Over them as king they have the angel of the Abyss (of the bottomless pit). In Hebrew his name is Abaddon [destruction], but in Greek he is called Apollyon [destroyer].
We have seen war in a 1/4th part of the earth, natural disasters that effect a third of the earth, and now we do not see a limit on the spiritual attack, the whole earth is effected. Think about a natural disaster now and how the world reacts, then think of a war as small as the Iraq war and how the world reacts, can you imagine the evil that will arise from a war that encompasses a 1/4th part of the earth, and then natural disasters that effect a 1/3rd of the earth and how people will react. The fear, the dread, the hopelessness, the anger, and the bitterness that the children of the devil will exhibit with these kinds of catastrophic events will far surpass anything that we have seen. The Truth is still the Truth and whatsoever a man soweth that shall he reap, now think of why these evils can be released from the Abyss when all of this is being sown, even from people who have not been directly effected.
This is the 1st woe that the eagle cried out about. He cried 3 times.
12The first woe (calamity) has passed; behold, two others are yet to follow.
13Then the sixth angel blew [his] trumpet, and from the four horns of the golden altar which stands before God I heard a solitary voice,
14Saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, Liberate the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.
15So the four angels who had been in readiness for that hour in the appointed day, month, and year were liberated to destroy a third of mankind.
Along the Euphrates River 4 angels were now allowed to come to power and destroy a 1/3rd of mankind. A 1/3rd of all of mankind will be destroyed by these spiritual armies. Notice that they are liberated, God is in total control, and this is a time of His wrath. God is the Gardener, He is the Potter, He is in control today and He is in control during this time. He is in control of His body, His flesh, His Temple, of which we are and there is not one of us who will be asked to go through or do anything that our Father has not empowered us to do with faith, hope, and love.
In Jeremiah 30:7, the Great Tribulation is called the time of Jacobs trouble. The Bible does not say where the 1/4th part of the earth is, or where the 1/3rd part of the earth is, but if it is a time of Jacobs trouble you would have to believe that it would be in the region where Israel is. Jesus told those in Judah to pray that their flight was not in the winter and not on the Sabbath, so this ties in with the events taking place in the Middle East. And now we read that the angels that are along the Euphrates, the Middle East, will come together and destroy a 1/3 of mankind.
16The number of their troops of cavalry was twice ten thousand times ten thousand (200,000,000); I heard what their number was.
In today’s battles troop strength is becoming less as weapons become greater. The only people using a great number of people to battle is muslim extremists. Think of it, with today’s weapons, you send 200,000,000 people into battle and they would easily be killed by far less bombs and other weapons. Also keeping supply lines open to feed these troops would be extremely difficult. This is why I believe that these are spiritual warriors.
The 4 angels are loosed from their captivity bound by the Euphrates. I have always heard this preached that it was China, but China is not near the Euphrates River. Also there are 200,000,000 million troops all riding on 200,000,000 horses? The horses could represent power, but as we will read the horses look like something. So even if the horses that we read about where mechanical and the riders human, 200,000,000 of them would be highly unlikely with the technology of today. China has a highly technologically advanced army.
The population today is approximately 6,602,224,175 so a 1/3rd today would be 2,178,000,000. But we have had a war that involved a 1/4th of the earth and natural disasters that have killed millions of people on a 1/3rd part of the earth, so these numbers will be far less when this war breaks out.
17And in [my] vision the horses and their riders appeared to me like this: the riders wore breastplates the color of fiery red and sapphire blue and sulphur (brimstone) yellow. The heads of the horses looked like lions' heads, and from their mouths there poured fire and smoke and sulphur (brimstone).
Notice John does not write about arrows, or projectiles, or explosions, but fire, smoke, and sulphur. Here again if the horses were mechanical to hold a soldier, they are extremely un-aero dynamic. Today’s weapons are sleek, but yet these are broad like a lion. And there is no way that the riders are actually riding 200,000,000 horses. A country could hardly feed and supply the men, let alone animals. And think about supplying 200,000,000 mechanical devices. The weapons fo today that are bulky are ones that carry several troops, but these warriors all have their own transportation.
18A third of mankind was killed by these three plagues--by the fire and the smoke and the sulphur (brimstone) that poured from the mouths of the horses.
This tells us that a 1/3rd of mankind is killed by these plagues. This verse does not say in what region the 1/3rd is killed, but this is Jacobs trouble and the seed that has been sown towards Israel by the Muslim world and the revised Roman Empire makes us believe that the 1/3rd probably is in the Middle East but the Word just tells us a 1/3rd of mankind, so this is all speculative, all we know is a 1/3rd of the unsealed who are left will be killed by these spiritual warriors.
19For the power of the horses to do harm is in their mouths and also in their tails. Their tails are like serpents, for they have heads, and it is by means of them that they wound people.
The riders and the horses both have the power to harm and kill.
20And the rest of humanity who were not killed by these plagues even then did not repent of [the worship of] the works of their [own] hands, so as to cease paying homage to the demons and idols of gold and silver and bronze and stone and wood, which can neither see nor hear nor move.
21And they did not repent of their murders or their practice of magic (sorceries) or their sexual vice or their thefts.
Remember there is great anger at the true Christians right now, thousands upon thousands of us are being slain for our testimony, but that is alright, remember how God empowers us, just as with Stephen, John, Paul, Peter, James when they were persecuted for their testimony, they rejoiced that they were able to suffer for it, that is the power of God flowing through us that are required to partake in such things. So during these events, war, natural disasters and now a terrible spiritual war that dwarfs the war that had happened by the 4 horseman, people will not run to God for comfort. They will be killed if they do. So if they are not empowered with the Holy Spirit they will definitely not seek God for comfort. But a-men, there will be those who do and we are being empowered to be there for them. We are serving our Father day and night in His Temple, our flesh, and the fire from His throne has been poured out upon us so that we can serve as never before. Jesus is still feeding us, we still do not thirst, and we still have the power of the Holy Spirit. A 1,000 have fallen at our side and 10,000 at our right hand but it has not come nigh us!
I believe these people will be running to church though, the anti-christ’s church, that as we study further we will see in greater detail..
Revelation 10
1THEN I saw another mighty angel coming down from heaven, robed in a cloud, with a [halo like a] rainbow over his head; his face was like the sun, and his feet (legs) were like columns of fire.
2He had a little book (scroll) open in his hand. He set his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land,
3And he shouted with a loud voice like the roaring of a lion; and when he had shouted, the seven thunders gave voice and uttered their message in distinct words.
4And when the seven thunders had spoken (sounded), I was going to write [it down], but I heard a voice from heaven saying, Seal up what the seven thunders have said! Do not write it down!
5Then the [mighty] angel whom I had seen stationed on sea and land raised his right hand to heaven (the [a]sky),(A)
6And swore in the name of (by) Him Who lives forever and ever, Who created the heavens ([b]sky) and all they contain, and the earth and all that it contains, and the sea and all that it contains. [He swore] that no more time should intervene and there should be no more waiting or delay,
7But that when the days come when the trumpet call of the seventh angel is about to be sounded, then God's mystery (His secret design, His hidden purpose), as He had announced the glad tidings to His servants the prophets, should be fulfilled (accomplished, completed).(B)
8Then the voice that I heard from heaven spoke again to me, saying, Go and take the little book (scroll) which is open on the hand of the angel who is standing on the sea and on the land.
9So I went up to the angel and asked him to give me the little book. And he said to me, Take it and eat it. It will embitter your stomach, though in your mouth it will be as sweet as honey.(C)
10So I took the little book from the angel's hand and ate and swallowed it; it was as sweet as honey in my mouth, but once I had swallowed it, my stomach was embittered.
11Then they said to me, You are to make a fresh prophecy concerning many peoples and races and nations and languages and kings.(D)
The scroll is a fresh prophecy that the Holy Spirit is going to have John preach, we will read about in Revelation 11. And the Word of God is sweet in John’s mouth, yet His stomach is sickened by it. How many times have you read the Word and when you read it is refreshing and sweet, and you love it? But then the reality of what it means to the lost sinks in and it makes you sick to think of what is going to happen to those whose hearts are not right. We see that our sins, sicknesses, and diseases have been born by Jesus and how sweet that Truth is, yet we see people who reject it and whose hearts are wrong with God and we see them sick and dying and it makes us upset. This is how I see this chapter regarding John receiving a new prophecy, because it will involve his beloved Jerusalem.
Revelation 11
1A REED [as a measuring rod] was then given to me, [shaped] like a staff, and I was told: Rise up and measure the sanctuary of God and the altar [of incense], and [number] those who worship there.(A)
This chapter begins John’s new prophesy. John is shown just how great the number of the Church will be, how we measure. This has to be sweet, Jesus shows His beloved just how many will be saved throughout the ages.
2But leave out of your measuring the court outside the sanctuary of God; omit that, for it is given over to the Gentiles (the nations), and they will trample the holy city underfoot for 42 months (three and one-half years).(B)
Notice here that John is to only measure the Temple, us, and not Jerusalem, the Holy City. Now the prophecy becomes bitter, Jerusalem will be trampled under foot for 3 ½ years.
3And I will grant the power of prophecy to My two witnesses for 1,260 (42 months; three and one-half years), dressed in sackcloth.
Once again a sweet thing, God empowering His two witnesses for the same 3 ½ years.
4These [witnesses] are the two olive trees and the two lampstands which stand before the Lord of the earth.(C)
Two olive trees are Zerubbabel and Joshua, Zech 4:14. These two lead the captives out of Babylon, Zech 4:7 and the two olive trees continuously provide oil, which is the Word of God through the power of the Holy Spirit, not by physical might, Zech 4:6.
So these are literally two witnesses who will be used by God to deliver many people out of Babylon, which later we will read about is the worlds system. So for 3 ½ years we will see the power of God flowing powerfully through these two. Didn’t Jesus preach for around 3 ½ years?
5And if anyone attempts to injure them, fire pours from their mouth and consumes their enemies; if anyone should attempt to harm them, thus he is doomed to be slain. [II Kings 1:10; Jer. 5:14.]
Just like with Jesus they have a time to serve and a time to die. God is in control and they do not die until their time is finished, preplanned by our Father. And just as with Jesus, they use the Word of God as their sword, not a physical one.
6These [two witnesses] have power to shut up the sky, so that no rain may fall during the days of their prophesying (their [a]prediction of events relating to Christ's kingdom and its speedy triumph); and they also have power to turn the waters into blood and to smite and scourge the earth with all manner of plagues as often as they choose.(D)
We have seen the 4 horseman kill off a 1/4th of the earth, natural disasters are affecting a 1/3rd of the earth, a spiritual war that kill’s off a 1/3rd of the earth, and now we see that plagues are being spoken out by God’s two witnesses. The thing here is that God released the 4 horseman, God released the seals, God released the Angel of the Abyss, and now God is controlling through the Holy Spirit the two witnesses. This is God’s wrath and He is in control and His wrath is not against His own body. We are fed by Jesus, covered by Jesus, and find clean water by Jesus. Our sins, sicknesses, and diseases are born now by our Lord and Savior, and they will be borne then by Him. Even during the Great Tribulation He is greater within us than he that is in the world!
7But when they have finished their testimony and their evidence is all in, the beast (monster) that comes up out of the Abyss (bottomless pit) will wage war on them, and conquer them and kill them.(E)
8And their dead bodies [will lie exposed] in the open street ([b]a public square) of the great city which is in a spiritual sense called [by the mystical and allegorical names of] Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified.(F)
9For three and a half days men from the races and tribes and languages and nations will gaze at their dead bodies and will not allow them to be put in a tomb.
10And those who dwell on the earth will gloat and exult over them and rejoice exceedingly, taking their ease and sending presents [in congratulation] to one another, because these two prophets had been such a vexation and trouble and torment to all the dwellers on the earth.
Think of how the anti-christ and the false prophet have been preaching against the two witnesses of God. They have cursed them, trying to preach to people that their false religion is right, not what the two witnesses are preaching. The anti-christ and false prophet have been telling people to pray to graven images, and those images are probably those of Bible figures: Mary, John, Peter, Paul, and others. They have been preaching that the works that the witnesses do is of the devil, just like the Pharisees and Sadducees did to Jesus. So of course when they are killed they will rejoice, thinking they were right and that they truly are of God. Satan is a deceiver and I believe that the anti-christ, false prophet, and their followers will actually believe they are doing God’s work. Many will be celebrating what they believe is the defeat of the devil. I mean look at what God had done through these two, plagues, droughts, and famine.
11But after three and a half days, by God's gift the breath of life again entered into them, and they rose up on their feet, and great dread and terror fell on those who watched them.(G)
Think of how people will fear now. They were wrong!
12Then [the two witnesses] heard a strong voice from heaven calling to them, Come up here! And before the very eyes of their enemies they ascended into heaven in a cloud. [II Kings 2:11.]
People use this as a verse to confirm there are many raptures. But think about it, they are raised from the dead, this verse does not teach us that they are transformed. Lazarus was raised and not transformed. And they were called up to Heaven, Enoch and Elijah were called up to Heaven and not transformed.
13And at that [very] hour there was a tremendous earthquake and one tenth of the city was destroyed (fell); seven thousand people perished in the earthquake, and those who remained were filled with dread and terror and were awe-struck, and they glorified the God of heaven.
Jerusalem is rocked by a great earthquake, just as when Jesus was crucified.
14The second woe (calamity) has passed; now the third woe is speedily to come.
The 1st woe was the Angel of the Abyss killing a 1/3rd of mankind and now the 2nd woe is the Angel of the Abyss killing the two witnesses.
15The seventh angel then blew [his] trumpet, and there were mighty voices in heaven, shouting, The dominion (kingdom, sovereignty, rule) of the world has now come into the possession and become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ (the Messiah), and He shall reign forever and ever (for the eternities of the eternities)!(H)
16Then the twenty-four elders [of [c]the heavenly Sanhedrin], who sit on their thrones before God, prostrated themselves before Him and worshiped,
17Exclaiming, To You we give thanks, Lord God Omnipotent, [the One] Who is and [ever] was, for assuming the high sovereignty and the great power that are Yours and for beginning to reign.
18And the heathen (the nations) raged, but Your wrath (retribution, indignation) came, the time when the dead will be judged and Your servants the prophets and saints rewarded--and those who revere (fear) Your name, both low and high and small and great--and [the time] for destroying the corrupters of the earth.(I)
The last trumpet has blown, immediately after the two witnesses are raised up. Notice that as soon as the power of God that had been flowing through these two as a witness stops, the time of this world is over. This is the time that God’s saints are rewarded. If there had been a time of reward before this, a pre-tribulation rapture, when some teach is the time of the Marriage Supper of Lamb, than this verse would be wrong. This is the time of the Marriage Supper, after the last Trumpet. 1 Corinthians 15:51-52. This is the time of reward not before.
19Then the sanctuary of God in heaven was thrown open, and the ark of His covenant was seen standing inside in His sanctuary; and there were flashes of lightning, loud rumblings (blasts, mutterings), peals of thunder, an earthquake, and a terrific hailstorm. [I Kings 8:1-6.]
The end of times.
Revelation 12
1AND A great sign (wonder)--[warning of future events of ominous significance] appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and with a crownlike garland (tiara) of twelve stars on her head.
Remember Revelation is not in chronological order, so this is Jesus showing John something further to clarify his vision.
The woman is the Church, 2 Corinthians 11:2 and Ephesians 5:23-27. Israel is Jacob, a man, masculine, the church though is often referred to as a woman, the Bride of Christ. The Church’s power is Christ and Jesus is the Sun. The moon is the old Testament, the church is founded on the Old Testament. Then the Crown of stars represent the church’s authority, 12 Apostles, 12 Patriarchs.
The woman is clothed with the Sun, God, Jesus.
2She was pregnant and she cried out in her birth pangs, in the anguish of her delivery.
The church birthed Jesus. Jesus was the first begotten of many brethren, Revelation 1:5.
3Then another ominous sign (wonder) was seen in heaven: Behold, a huge, fiery-red dragon, with seven heads and ten horns, and seven kingly crowns (diadems) upon his heads.(A)
The dragon is satan. The heads and crowns represent rulers that he uses.
4His tail swept [across the sky] and dragged down a third of the stars and flung them to the earth. And the dragon stationed himself in front of the woman who was about to be delivered, so that he might devour her child as soon as she brought it forth.(B)
Satan deceived a 1/3rd of the angels and they fell with him and they tried to destroy Jesus as soon as he was born and failed. God warned Joseph in a dream and he took Mary and Jesus and fled to Egypt.
5And she brought forth a male Child, One Who is destined to shepherd (rule) all the nations with an iron staff (scepter), and her Child was caught up to God and to His throne.
Jesus was resurrected to Heaven. Satan thought he had destroyed Jesus by crucifixion, and yet He was raised. Just as satan will think that he has destroyed the two witnesses and will fail. Satan is given to much credit. He is just a tool of God and he repeatedly shows his ignorance throughout history. Look how God has used him. Satan is a deceiver and he constantly is trying to convince people that he is in charge. Ego, pride, and jealousy usually do. God knows the beginning and the end, God knew what satan would do, and He still made him that way! God created the good and the evil.
6And the woman [herself] fled into the desert (wilderness), where she has a retreat prepared [for her] by God, in which she is to be fed and kept safe for 1,260 days (42 months; three and one-half years).
For 3 ½ years the Church is protected and fed during the Great Tribulation. Jesus Shepherds us to food and water, protects us from scorching sun and wipes away all of our tears.
Notice here that the prophecy never teaches us that the woman would reject the child, as Israel rejected Jesus. I believe that is a huge point to not mention if the woman were actually Israel.
Also Israel never fled into the wilderness, the Jewish people fled into Europe and Russia, heavily populated areas of the world, not the wilderness. But the true Church was always on the outside looking in. Not the false Christian churches, but the real church.
This verse may also represent the 1260 years that the Catholic Church and the Popes had power, until Napoleon came in and stopped it. For centuries the Pope had complete power and you have to see that millions of true believers were killed during this time of the Pope’s. The Bible was taken from the people because they were considered too stupid, and the Truth suffered greatly at the hands of a fake religious organization having a form of godliness but who denied the power of it. But for those who are truly called and chosen, there was the salvation of Christ that fed, clothed, and protected them.
Prophecy can cover thousands of years as well as a distinct moment in time. We see 3 ½ years all throughout the Bible. It shows you that God is in charge and puts His signature on everything.
7Then war broke out in heaven; Michael and his angels went forth to battle with the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought.
8But they were defeated, and there was no room found for them in heaven any longer.
9And the huge dragon was cast down and out--that age-old serpent, who is called the Devil and Satan, he who is the seducer (deceiver) of all humanity the world over; he was forced out and down to the earth, and his angels were flung out along with him.(D)
10Then I heard a strong (loud) voice in heaven, saying, Now it has come--the salvation and the power and the kingdom (the dominion, the reign) of our God, and the power (the sovereignty, the authority) of His Christ (the Messiah); for the accuser of our brethren, he who keeps bringing before our God charges against them day and night, has been cast out!(E)
This is after Jesus was crucified and raised from the dead. Not before, satan was accusing Job in Heaven before wasn’t he? The churches power, or the woman’s power, is salvation and our Kingdom is from Christ and this came to us after Jesus was raised from the dead. After Jesus’ crucifixion is when He bruised satans head with His heal, and after HE was crucified is when Jesus took the keys to death and hell from satan.
11And they have overcome (conquered) him by means of the blood of the Lamb and by the utterance of their testimony, for they did not love and cling to life even when faced with death [holding their lives cheap till they had to die for their witnessing].
Jesus is the woman’s power and His Blood keeps us clean from sin, 1 John 1:9.
12Therefore be glad (exult), O heavens and you that dwell in them! But woe to you, O earth and sea, for the devil has come down to you in fierce anger (fury), because he knows that he has [only] a short time [left]!
The woman is not harmed, God has always prepared a place of safety for us. We are His body, His flesh, His Temple and there is no weapon that can harm God and we are one with Him. This shows that even if we are to be killed for our testimony, that there is not a woe for us. God’s power will flow through us and even if we are killed for being used to testify it will be glorious and wonderful, as we are empowered with the Holy Spirit to serve the Kingdom and our Father and our brothers and sisters.
13And when the dragon saw that he was cast down to the earth, he went in pursuit of the woman who had given birth to the male Child.
After Jesus’ resurrection the Church has always been persecuted, yet for the true chosen ones, God has always been victorious through us! Satan has always failed and he always will. Our Father is always in control and that is our peace that passes all understanding. Remember too that God is constantly telling the demons what they can and cannot do, satan is no different, he can only do what our Father allows.
Satan wages war on the church because that is who salvation has come too, not Israel, they rejected Jesus.
14But the woman was supplied with the two wings of a giant eagle, so that she might fly from the presence of the serpent into the desert (wilderness), to the retreat where she is to be kept safe and fed for a time, and times, and half a time (three and one-half years, or 1,260 days).
Isn’t it wonderful to think of how Christianity has flourished in the wildernesses of the world? God clearly spoke that when the devil would begin his attack, the church would flee into the wilderness. Today there is America, which began as a vast wilderness. Christianity flourishes in the USA and God has used it from the very beginning of its creation as a nation which is an instrument of His righteousness. I find it interesting too that America is known as the Eagle and before it ever was, God was speaking of the wings of an eagle to be there for His church. But there were wildernesses before America for the Church and even today in the wildernesses of Africa, Asia, and South America Christianity is protected and flourishes. John was given this vision almost two thousand years ago and we can see that God knew what He was talking about.
15Then out of his mouth the serpent spouted forth water like a flood after the woman, that she might be carried off with the torrent.
Satan pours people out to persecute the Church. Waters represent people. We can look at History and see this is true. We can especially see that satan has always used wolves in sheep’s clothing. Those who look religious, but whose hearts are to take you from God and place your trust in a lie that will destroy you. Examples like praying to Mary, or some other person that was used by God. Making graven images and bowing down before them. Placing one man above every other and then telling us that that man is the substitute for Christ on this earth. There are several other religions that do the same things, I am only pointing out the Catholic Church here to go along with the anti-christ, who I believe will be a Pope. The anti-christ’s seat is in Rome and he has great political power.
16But the earth came to the rescue of the woman, and the ground opened its mouth and swallowed up the stream of water which the dragon had spouted from his mouth.
Satan’s people are always stopped. So whether it is a wilderness that God escapes us to, a natural disaster, or a miraculous event, satan fails each and every time. Failures are always angry, and satan is always angry. The end times the whole world is against us and many of us are sacrificed for our testimony, but not all of us!
17So then the dragon was furious (enraged) at the woman, and he went away to wage war on the remainder of her descendants--[on those] who obey God's commandments and who have the testimony of Jesus Christ [and adhere to it and [a]bear witness to Him].
Satan failed before and he will fail again. Even when the whole world is against us, through Christ we prevail.
Revelation 13
1[AS] [a]I stood on the sandy beach, I saw a beast coming up out of the sea with ten horns and seven heads. On his horns he had ten royal crowns (diadems) and blasphemous titles (names) on his heads.
In Bible prophecy the Sea is used to represent a great number of people and 10 crowns represent 10 kings and the beast is the antichrist. The anti-christ uses the power of these 10 kings to force his power on the people.
2And the beast that I saw resembled a leopard, but his feet were like those of a bear and his mouth was like that of a lion. And to him the dragon gave his [own] might and power and his [own] throne and great dominion.
The anti-christ is fully powered by satan. He is fully powered by a looser, who has failed at everything he has ever done. Think about satan’s dominion, it definitely has shrunk, he and the 1/3rd of the angels have been kicked out of heaven and have been suffering defeat for thousands of years!
3And one of his heads seemed to have a deadly wound. But his death stroke was healed; and the whole earth went after the beast in amazement and admiration.
The Popes power was taken by Napoleon in 1798. From 538, when the Bishop of Rome was made the Pople until 1798 he had a great army and was the world leader. This is 1260 years, 3 1/2 years for prophecy. The deadly wound that was healed, the Pope come back into great power!
4They fell down and paid homage to the dragon, because he had bestowed on the beast all his dominion and authority; they also praised and worshiped the beast, exclaiming, Who is a match for the beast, and, Who can make war against him?
Now think of the carnage that these people are seeing. A war that killed a 1/4th of all mankind, locust that had consumed them for months, natural disasters that turn a 1/3rd of the waters bitter, and a spiritual attack from the Abyss that kills off a 1/3rd of all mankind. Of course they are looking for someone who they hope will bring peace.
Think of how people fall down before the Pope now, and then think of when he has the full support and power of the 10 kings and satan. God has allowed a great falling away of the false believers from the Church and they have probably ran to the fake church of the anti-christ which I believe to be the Catholic faith ran by the anti-christ who is acting as the Pope.
Notice how finally satan tries to imitate God here. He finally gives all his power and authority to man, as Jesus has given to us.
5And the beast was given the power of speech, uttering boastful and blasphemous words, and he was given freedom to exert his authority and to exercise his will during forty-two months (three and a half years).
Think of the blasphemy now of the Pope. People bow down to him, this is nowhere to be found in the New Testament, it is actually spoken against. People kiss a ring of his finger, he has people bow down and kiss a graven image. The Pope believes that He is the Christ on the earth. He places himself above people, it is not hard to imagine how the Pope will be when he has the backing of 10 kings and a fearful and wary population that for the first time in History can really see the carnage of war. There will be 24 hour news, the internet, clear and precise pictures with people trying to make them as afraid as they can be to get the ratings. Could you imagine World War II with today’s news coverage?
6And he opened his mouth to speak slanders against God, blaspheming His name and His abode, [even vilifying] those who live in heaven.
7He was further permitted to wage war on God's holy people (the saints) and to overcome them. And power was given him to extend his authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation.
Who permitted the anti-christ to wage war? God! Our Father will give Him power of every tongue, nation, and tribe. Think of how he will try to make people worship? Graven images, priests, Mary, false teachings from Him not from the Bible. And it will all look religious. So of course he will come after the woman, the true Church, for preaching the Truth and now he has an army and governments supporting him that can reach the world. We will be hated by every nation, but victorious everywhere God leads us.
8And all the inhabitants of the earth will fall down in adoration and pay him homage, everyone whose name has not been recorded in the Book of Life of the Lamb that was slain [in sacrifice] [b]from the foundation of the world.
Everyone will worship the anti-christ but those who have been sealed, those who have been empowered, those who are chosen. We are one with God and God bows to nothing, and His body, empowered with our Fathers Strength, will be lights on the sides of the hills, we will still be the salt of the earth. We will still lay hands on the sick and they will recover, the gifts of the Spirit will operate in their full power and demonstration fro all to see.
9If anyone is able to hear, let him listen:
10Whoever leads into captivity will himself go into captivity; if anyone slays with the sword, with the sword must he be slain. Herein is [the call for] the patience and the faith and fidelity of the saints (God's people).
You ever hear christians who talk about hording food and having guns to protect it. They will be slain. The whole world is against us. Only Jesus will feed us, shelter us, and give us water.
11Then I saw another beast rising up out of the land [itself]; he had two horns like a lamb, and he spoke (roared) like a dragon.
Think of America here. The beast has two horns, yet no crowns; freedom of religion and democracy maybe? Look at how the beast is portrayed like a lamb, think of how the USA has been used by Jesus and yet it speaks like dragon. This clearly shows America, no other country on the earth is used by Jesus to spread the Gospel and yet our government officials, our voice, shy away from it and speak just like satan, our politicians are always glorifying the works of itself and of men. Notice satan doesn’t speak like a ruthless dictator, he is subtle and usually uses half truths that sound good, like our Presidents who say that they have faith, yet never mention Jesus.
12He exerts all the power and right of control of the former beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell upon it to exalt and deify the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed, and to worship him.
Look how America’s leadership could support the Pope in a time of Great Tribulation. There is turmoil everywhere. America is hated by most of the world right now, so they could throw their support towards the Pope to try and sure things up. They have seen that religion has worked for them in the past, and the Pope is a world wide leader, so they could easily force people to follow what the Pope says. Not so much because they care about the Pope, but to bring peace and stability. Remember satan is a divided house, all of these kings, and beasts will not be together as one. There will be jealousy, mistrust, bitterness, everything satan is, they have been empowered fully with. America throwing its support to the Pope is all in an attempt to bring about some peace and stop the wrath of God.
Do you really think that satan is going to show the anti-christ what he is doing to him? I believe that the Pope will believe that he is doing the right thing. But he is so blinded that he cannot see. I think the same of America, everything being done is an attempt to bring stability and peace. Look at the government now: don’t speak against anything, woman can have abortions, redistribute wealth, all things that have failed, yet to try and bring peace and harmony, go for it.
So the false prophet could easily be the President of the United States trying to stabilize the world. All the time thinking of His legacy, just like satan.
13He performs great signs (startling miracles), even making fire fall from the sky to the earth in men's sight.
America’s weapons are the best in the world and causing fire to fall from the sky is nothing.
14And because of the signs (miracles) which he is allowed to perform in the presence of the [first] beast, he deceives those who inhabit the earth, commanding them to erect a statue (an image) in the likeness of the beast who was wounded by the [small] sword and still lived.
After people have seen the natural disasters that are God’s wrath, they will be so desperate for a sign and anything that looks like it will bring about peace and safety will be welcomed. How easy it will be to force the earth to follow what America believes will bring about stability.
15And he is permitted [also] to impart the breath of life into the beast's image, so that the statue of the beast could actually talk and cause to be put to death those who would not bow down and worship the image of the beast.(E)
You ever notice how much of the world makes huge portraits of their leaders and every dictator has a great statute of himself. Making one talk is nothing and with computers today it can speak of great things. Notice that the dragon does not cause the image to speak, it is America that does.
16Also he compels all [alike], both small and great, both the rich and the poor, both free and slave, to be marked with an inscription [[c]stamped] on their right hands or on their foreheads,
17So that no one will have power to buy or sell unless he bears the stamp (mark, inscription), [that is] the name of the beast or the number of his name.
With the instability of the world at this time, of course the anti-christ and America will want total control. Right now the USA believes that it is the policeman of the world, so in these times of great trouble, how much more will it? Especially when a bunch of totally ungodly people are running the show. Look right now how liberal leaning leaders think they have to impose their views on less enlightened people. Then think of how religious right leaning leaders believe they can force their opinions on the ungodly. Now in these times of great tribulation think of how in the name of peace and safety they will force their beliefs, all in the name of world peace and stability.
18Here is [room for] discernment [a call for the wisdom [d]of interpretation]. Let anyone who has intelligence (penetration and insight enough) calculate the number of the beast, for it is a human number [the number of a certain man]; his number is 666.
The beasts number, the Popes number is 666. The number 6 represents the worship of man, and is the number of man, signifying his rebellion, imperfection, works, and disobedience. 6 is used 273 times in the Bible, including its derivatives (e.g, sixth) and another 91 times as “threescore” or “60.” Man was created on the sixth day (Genesis 1:26, 31). See also Exodus 31:15 and Daniel 3:1.
People look at the number so much, but I wonder if it really means as much as people give it. Doesn’t Jesus tell John here that it is simply the number of the anti-christ?
Revelation 14
1THEN I looked, and behold, the Lamb stood on Mount Zion, and with Him 144,000 [men] who had His name and His Father's name inscribed on their foreheads.
2And I heard a voice from heaven like the sound of great waters and like the rumbling of mighty thunder; the voice I heard [seemed like the music] of harpists [a]accompanying themselves on their harps.
3And they sang a new song before the throne [of God] and before the four living creatures and before the elders [of [b]the heavenly Sanhedrin]. No one could learn [to sing] that song except the 144,000 who had been ransomed (purchased, redeemed) from the earth.
4These are they who have not defiled themselves by relations with women, for they are [[c]pure as] virgins. These are they who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These are they who have been ransomed (purchased, redeemed) from among men as the firstfruits for God and the Lamb.
5No lie was found to be upon their lips, for they are blameless (spotless, untainted, without blemish) before the throne of God.
6Then I saw another angel flying in midair, with an eternal Gospel (good news) to tell to the inhabitants of the earth, to every race and tribe and language and people.
Just a thought here, why does this verse just teach us of 144,000, John does not make mention that they were from the 12 tribes of Israel? These 144,000 were taken from among men, the Holy Spirit does not have John write that they were taken from Israel? These 144,000 could be the same as earlier, or they could be new?
But here is the thing, they seem to be a leadership who Jesus uses during the tribulation. They have not defiled themselves with women. Just a thought about being defiled by a woman, it could also mean that they have not been defiled by false churches, women in the Bible often refer to churches or it could mean they are actual virgins. But marriage and the physical relationship involved with it do not defile a man. Marriage and sex are an ordained instrument of God. It really doesn’t matter to what is being said here, the Truth is there are 144,000 special messengers of Christ who will be used like no others have. Only they can sign their song! They may be true virgins, or undefiled by false religion, they may be from the 12 tribes or from among all men.
Remember all true Christians have been washed clean by Jesus. We all stand without spot wrinkle or blemish, that is how Jesus has made us. This is the power of His Blood, it is eternally working for us so that we are all saved to the uttermost! These 144,000 just are used like no others have been.
Also notice that the Gospel is being preached throughout the whole earth. The anti-christ, the false prophet cannot stop us, and even though huge amounts of us are being killed for testifying the power of the Holy Spirit still drives us, rejoicing and singing as we are used to preach to all creatures!
7And he cried with a mighty voice, Revere God and give Him glory (honor and praise in worship), for the hour of His judgment has arrived. Fall down before Him; pay Him homage and adoration and worship Him Who created heaven and earth, the sea and the springs (fountains) of water.
As the anti-christ is calling for people to falsely worship, we see Jesus here is still alive, still living to testify of the Truth, still empowering believers.
8Then another angel, a second, followed, declaring, Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great! She who made all nations drink of the [maddening] wine of her passionate unchastity [[d] idolatry].(A)
Babylon has fallen. The anti-christ hasn’t fallen yet, so it cannot be him or his church. The false prophet has not fallen, so it could not be America. So what could it be? I believe that it is the world’s economy. Nothing has ever made nations act with evil as much as money. The love of money is the root of all evil and the nations are all about the love of money and the power that it brings!
9Then another angel, a third, followed them, saying with a mighty voice, Whoever pays homage to the beast and his statue and permits the [beast's] stamp (mark, inscription) to be put on his forehead or on his hand,
10He too shall [have to] drink of the wine of God's indignation and wrath, poured undiluted into the cup of His anger; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.(B)
11And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no respite (no pause, no intermission, no rest, no peace) day or night--these who pay homage to the beast and to his image and whoever receives the stamp of his name upon him.(C)
The testimony of Jesus must be something to behold right now. All of the inhabitants of the earth are hearing it. For God to be so forceful as to offer no chance for these people who take the mark of the beast means the testimony of Jesus through the 144,000 and the numbers who could not be numbered, and the two witnesses, must be incredible. So plain and powerful that a person has no choice but to accept or deny Jesus as Lord. I believe that the preaching during this time will be greater than ever. Jesus said that the works that He did, so shall we, and even greater ones, and here is a time when I believe will be the greatest preaching of all time.
Powerful, plain, and clear!
12Here [comes in a call for] the steadfastness of the saints [the patience, the endurance of the people of God], those who [habitually] keep God's commandments and [their] faith in Jesus.
13Then I heard further [[e] perceiving the distinct words of] a voice from heaven, saying, Write this: Blessed (happy, [f]to be envied) are the dead from now on who die in the Lord! Yes, blessed (happy, [g]to be envied indeed), says the Spirit, [in] that they may rest from their labors, for their works (deeds) do follow (attend, accompany) them!
People are seeing God’s Truth preached as never before. We are crucified with Christ and nevertheless we live, yet it is not us who lives it is Christ within us. We are dead and our lives are hid with Christ in God. So the voice from Heaven is saying blessed are those who accept and believe during this time. The parable of the workers, even those called during the last hour, receive the same pay!
14Again I looked, and behold, [I saw] a white cloud, and sitting on the cloud [h]One resembling a Son of Man, with a crown of gold on His head and a sharp scythe (sickle) in His hand.(D)
15And another angel came out of the temple sanctuary, calling with a mighty voice to Him Who was sitting upon the cloud, Put in Your scythe and reap, for the hour has arrived to gather the harvest, for the earth's crop is fully ripened.(E)
16So He Who was sitting upon the cloud swung His scythe (sickle) on the earth, and the earth's crop was harvested.
The last trumpet and Jesus gathers the dead in Him first and those of us who are left behind are caught up together with Him.
17Then another angel came out of the temple [sanctuary] in heaven, and he also carried a sharp scythe (sickle).
18And another angel came forth from the altar, [the angel] who has authority and power over fire, and he called with a loud cry to him who had the sharp scythe (sickle), Put forth your scythe and reap the fruitage of the vine of the earth, for its grapes are entirely ripe.
The wheat and the chaff have been allowed to live together until this point and now it is done! The chaff shall be burned. The testimony of Jesus has been presented with such power and clarity that no one could deny it. The perfect church without spot, wrinkle, or blemish fully mature and fully empowered with no sin has been testifying the Truth that sets the world free.
19So the angel swung his scythe on the earth and stripped the grapes and gathered the vintage from the vines of the earth and cast it into the huge winepress of God's indignation and wrath.
20And [the grapes in] the winepress were trodden outside the city, and blood poured from the winepress, [reaching] as high as horses' bridles, for a distance of 1,600 stadia (about 200 miles).(F)
Jesus is returning with the troops of Heaven. We are caught up in the air with Him and then out of His mouth proceeds the power that destroys so many people that their blood is as high as a horses head and for 200 miles.
Revelation 15
1THEN I saw another wonder (sign, token, symbol) in heaven, great and marvelous [warning of events of ominous significance]: There were seven angels bringing seven plagues (afflictions, calamities), which are the last, for with them God's wrath (indignation) is completely expressed [reaches its climax and is ended].(A)
Once again Revelation is not chronological. God is once again showing John in clarity the expression of His wrath during the Great Tribulation.
2Then I saw what seemed to be a glassy sea blended with fire, and those who had come off victorious from the beast and from his statue and from the number corresponding to his name were standing beside the glassy sea, with harps of God in their hands.
A clean and clear number of people who have been baptized with the Holy Spirit and with His power. John sees those of us who are empowered by the Holy Spirit to not follow the anti-christ.
3And they sang the song of Moses the servant of God and the song of the Lamb, saying, Mighty and marvelous are Your works, O Lord God the Omnipotent! Righteous (just) and true are Your ways, O Sovereign of the ages (King of the [a]nations)!
These people sing the Song of Moses and of Jesus. Jesus came and fulfilled the law within us, so that we no longer serve our Father through our own effort, He has placed His Spirit within us and He no causes us to walk in them and keep them, Ezekiel 36:27. We now serve by the power of Jesus, as He is so our we in this world, 1 John 4:17.
4Who shall not reverence and glorify Your name, O Lord [giving You honor and praise in worship]? For You only are holy. All the nations shall come and pay homage and adoration to You, for Your just judgments (Your righteous sentences and deeds) have been made known and displayed.(C)
5After this I looked and the sanctuary of the tent of the testimony in heaven was thrown open,
6And there came out of the temple sanctuary the seven angels bringing the seven plagues (afflictions, calamities). They were arrayed in pure gleaming linen, and around their breasts they wore golden girdles.
7And one of the four living creatures [then] gave the seven angels seven golden bowls full of the wrath and indignation of God, Who lives forever and ever (in the eternities of the eternities).
8And the sanctuary was filled with smoke from the glory (the radiance, the splendor) of God and from His might and power, and no one was able to go into the sanctuary until the seven plagues (afflictions, calamities) of the seven angels were ended. [I Kings 8:10; Isa. 6:4; Ezek. 44:4.]
This is God finishing the plan for the world, and no on is able to go into the Heavenly sanctuary until it is complete. It doesn’t say this directly but I believe that God knew there would be a time in history when people would believe that there was a pre-tribulation rapture and it is like here He is saying you can’t come in until everything is finished. God also said that we stand before the throne, but when we are caught up with Jesus after the last trumpet we rule and reign, these things are done from the Throne, they are done where our Father is and it’s like He keeps showing us not until the time is finished.
Revelation 16
1THEN I heard a mighty voice from the temple sanctuary saying to the seven angels, Go and empty out on the earth the seven bowls of God's wrath and indignation.(A)
Clearly this is Jesus’ voice, since no one was allowed in until the plagues had been finished.
2So the first [angel] went and emptied his bowl on the earth, and foul and painful ulcers (sores) came on the people who were marked with the stamp of the beast and who did homage to his image.(B)
3The second [angel] emptied his bowl into the sea, and it turned into blood like that of a corpse [thick, corrupt, ill-smelling, and disgusting], and every living thing that was in the sea perished.
4Then the third [angel] emptied out his bowl into the rivers and the springs of water, and they turned into (became) blood.(C)
5And I also heard the angel of the waters say, Righteous (just) are You in these Your decisions and judgments, You Who are and were, O Holy One!
6Because they have poured out the blood of Your people (the saints) and the prophets, and You have given them blood to drink. Such is their due [they deserve it]!(D)
Jesus leads us to fresh water, Revelation 7:16. The saints who have been sealed with the Holy Spirit do not have the wrath of their Father touch them.
7And [from] the altar I heard [the] cry, Yes, Lord God the Omnipotent, Your judgments (sentences, decisions) are true and just and righteous!(E)
8Then the fourth [angel] emptied out his bowl upon the sun, and it was permitted to burn (scorch) humanity with [fierce, glowing] heat (fire).
Jesus protects us from the sun, Revelation 7:16.
9People were severely burned (scorched) by the fiery heat, and they reviled and blasphemed the name of God, Who has control of these plagues, and they did not repent of their sins [felt no regret, contrition, and compunction for their waywardness, refusing to amend their ways] to give Him glory.
Look how it says that they did not give God glory. Think about religion today, they teach the works of man. You do this and you do that, then God can do something. How many people will tell you that they prayed this or that and then it happened. Or they gave this or that and then something happened. God is a reactive figure in their world. They control the Father instead of the Father controlling them. Jesus said to those who had done mighty works in His name that He never knew them, Matthew 7:22. I believe that they will be in church, the anti-christ’s church, acting all religious and having a form of godliness but denying the power of it.
10Then the fifth [angel] emptied his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom was [plunged] in darkness; and people gnawed their tongues for the torment [of their excruciating distress and severe pain](F)
11And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their anguish and their ulcers (sores), and they did not deplore their wicked deeds or repent [for what they had done].
12Then the sixth [angel] emptied his bowl on the mighty river Euphrates, and its water was dried up to make ready a road for [the coming of] the kings of the east (from the rising sun).(G)
Now here we see that the Euphrates River is dried up for the Kings of the East to come to the battle. There is no mention of 200,000,000 million here. And God proclaims the kings from the east, not king! So is it China? Would China need the river to be dried up? America didn’t, when we went into Iraq, we just went over it. Our technology was that advanced. But for the Kings of Iran, Iraq, or some other nation, they would need it.
13And I saw three loathsome spirits like frogs, [leaping] from the mouth of the dragon and from the mouth of the beast and from the mouth of the false prophet.(H)
14For really they are the spirits of demons that perform signs (wonders, miracles). And they go forth to the rulers and leaders all over the world, to gather them together for war on the great day of God the Almighty.
These frogs, or demons, will perform miracles and will be used to make the anti-christ and the false prophet, the Pope and the President of America, to look like they are truly of God. Many of the people of the world enjoy freedom right now and they would have to be deceived and willing to bow down. To make through war everyone to bow down would take far more than 3 ½ years. The world through the trials and tribulations want it and they want it because they have been deceived into wanting it.
15Behold, I am going to come like a thief! Blessed (happy, [a]to be envied) is he who stays awake (alert) and who guards his clothes, so that he may not be naked and [have the shame of being] seen exposed!
We have been sealed, Jesus is our Shepherd, greater is He that is within us than he that is in the world. We are crucified with Christ and nevertheless we live, yet it is not us who lives, it is Christ within us who lives. Our lives are dead and hid in Christ is God. God has placed His Spirit within us and He causes us to walk in His statutes and He causes us to keep His judgments. Through the power of Christ we will be awake!
16And they gathered them together at the place which in Hebrew is called Armageddon. [II Kings 9:27.]
Notice God had to make it easy for the kings of the east to get to Armageddon. I can’t see muslims coming under the dominion of the Pope and America even with all of the death and destruction that has occurred. So could it be that they are coming to attack the Pope who has set up His kingdom in Jerusalem. Remember that the Gospel has been preached with great power to every nation, so it has been preached in Iran, Saudi Arabia, Syria, and all of the other powerful muslim nations. Satan is a divided house and this alliance will constantly be fighting and deceiving one another, satan who has given the power knows no other way.
17Then the seventh [angel] emptied out his bowl into the air, and a mighty voice came out of the sanctuary of heaven from the throne [of God], saying, It is done! [It is all over, it is all accomplished, it has come!](I)
18And there followed lightning flashes, loud rumblings, peals of thunder, and a tremendous earthquake; nothing like it has ever occurred since men dwelt on the earth, so severe and far-reaching was that earthquake.(J)
19The mighty city was broken into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. And God kept in mind mighty Babylon, to make her drain the cup of His furious wrath and indignation.
20And every island fled and no mountains could be found.
21And great (excessively oppressive) hailstones, as heavy as a talent [between fifty and sixty pounds], of immense size, fell from the sky on the people; and men blasphemed God for the plague of the hail, so very great was [the torture] of that plague.
The two witnesses have just been raised up, great fear is on the whole world for they have seen it. The anti-christ has armies all around Jerusalem, the worlds water supply is done, the sun is scorching millions, the world can see that these things are not touching us, the last time is going to be miserable for the lost. They will see Jesus returning from the east like a bolt of lightning, they will see the dead in Christ rising and those that are alive being caught up. This is the last day’s events!
Revelation 17
1ONE OF the seven angels who had the seven bowls then came and spoke to me, saying, Come with me! I will show you the doom (sentence, judgment) of the great harlot (idolatress) who is seated on many waters,(A)
The doom of the anti-christ’s church, the Roman catholic church and all who have joined her.
2[She] with whom the rulers of the earth have joined in prostitution (idolatry) and with the wine of whose immorality (idolatry) the inhabitants of the earth have become intoxicated.(B)
Idolatry, making statutes and worshipping them. Placing the love of the Pope higher than it should be. As Peter told Cornelius, I am just a man, do not bow down to me. People who are willing to follow false teachings in attempt to escape the wrath of God.
3And [the angel] bore me away [rapt] in the Spirit into a desert (wilderness), and I saw a woman seated on a scarlet beast that was all covered with blasphemous titles (names), and he had seven heads and ten horns.
4The woman was robed in purple and scarlet and bedecked with gold, precious stones, and pearls, [and she was] holding in her hand a golden cup full of the accursed offenses and the filth of her lewdness and vice.(C)
5And on her forehead there was inscribed a name of mystery [with a secret symbolic meaning]: Babylon the great, the mother of prostitutes (idolatresses) and of the filth and atrocities and abominations of the earth.
The Catholic Church thrives in the worlds economic system. And for money and power they have corrupted many and done all kinds of blasphemous things. People join right in to find favor and grace, always having a form of godliness, wolves in sheeps clothing seeking whom they may devour!
6I also saw that the woman was drunk, [drunk] with the blood of the saints (God's people) and the blood of the martyrs [who witnessed] for Jesus. And when I saw her, I was utterly amazed and wondered greatly.
The Catholic church has killed off the saints all throughout its history and the members of her have always gone right along.
7But the angel said to me, Why do you wonder? I will explain to you the [secret symbolic meaning of the] mystery of the woman, as well as of the beast having the seven heads and ten horns that carries her.
8The beast that you saw [once] was, but [now] is no more, and he is going to come up out of the Abyss (the bottomless pit) and proceed to go to perdition. And the inhabitants of the earth whose names have not been recorded in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world will be astonished when they look at the beast, because he [once] was, but [now] is no more, and he is [yet] to come.(D)
The Pope once was the most powerful man on earth, then God empowered Napoleon to end it, and then the Pope comes back into being the most powerful man on earth, because God loosed the powers of the Abyss.
9This calls for a mind [to consider that is packed] with wisdom and intelligence [it is something for a particular mode of thinking and judging of thoughts, feelings, and purposes]. The seven heads are seven hills upon which the woman is sitting;
The seven Hills that surround Rome.
10And they are also seven kings, five of whom have fallen, one still exists [and is reigning]; the other [the seventh] has not yet appeared, and when he does arrive, he must stay [but] a brief time.
11And as for the beast that [once] was, but now is no more, he [himself] is an eighth ruler (king, head), but he is of the seven and belongs to them, and he goes to perdition.
12Also the ten horns that you observed are ten rulers (kings) who have as yet received no royal dominion, but together they are to receive power and authority as rulers for a single hour, along with the beast.
None of Europe is ruled by Kings anymore, 10 rulers who have no royal dominion.
The revised Roman empire countries that bring the Pope back to great power.
13These have one common policy (opinion, purpose), and they deliver their power and authority to the beast.
The leaders of the revised Roman Empire make the Pope the leader of the union.
14They will wage war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will triumph over them; for He is Lord of lords and King of kings--and those with Him and on His side are chosen and called [elected] and loyal and faithful followers.(F)
Satan looses and those who join with Him loose as well and suffer his same fate.
15And [the angel further] said to me, The waters that you observed, where the harlot is seated, are races and multitudes and nations and dialects (languages).
The Catholic church encompasses a great number of nations, peoples, and languages. And during the end times will even be granted further power over all tribes, nation, and tongues.
16And the ten horns that you saw, they and the beast will [be the very ones to] hate the harlot (the idolatrous woman); they will make her cheerless (bereaved, desolate), and they will strip her and eat up her flesh and utterly consume her with fire.
The anti-christ and the ten rulers, have no real love for the people. They love themselves and their actions and plans only bring grief to those who join in. Remember the power of the preaching that the Holy Ghost is doing through the saints. These people are freely joining in with the harlot, even after hearing and seeing what God is doing!
17For God has put it into their hearts to carry out His own purpose by acting in harmony in surrendering their royal power and authority to the beast, until the prophetic words (intentions and promises) of God shall be fulfilled.
18And the woman that you saw is herself the great city which dominates and controls the rulers and the leaders of the earth.
The very people that the antichrist and the 10 rulers hate are the ones that will bring the leaders of the world to them, because their citizens demand it!
Revelation 18
1THEN I saw another angel descending from heaven, possessing great authority, and the earth was illuminated with his radiance and splendor.
2And he shouted with a mighty voice, She is fallen! Mighty Babylon is fallen! She has become a resort and dwelling place for demons, a dungeon haunted by every loathsome spirit, an abode for every filthy and detestable bird.
3For all nations have drunk the wine of her passionate unchastity, and the rulers and leaders of the earth have joined with her in committing fornication (idolatry), and the businessmen of the earth have become rich with the wealth of her excessive luxury and wantonness.
The worlds economic system has collapsed. Excessive luxury, sound like the Pope, the Religious leaders of today and the developed countries. Notice the verse does not say luxury, but excessive luxury. Jesus never taught us not to have a coat, but he said if we had two to give one away.
4I then heard another voice from heaven saying, Come out from her, my people, so that you may not share in her sins, neither participate in her plagues.(B)
During this time of wrath the worlds system is falling, there is supper high inflation, and so what does God do. He removes us out of it. We are now fed, we now are protected, and we receive water from Jesus. Jesus teaches us on the Sermon on the Mount to take no thought for our own lives, but to seek first the Kingdom of Heaven and our Fathers righteousness and everything else will be added unto us! The time of the Great Tribulation is the perfect time for this Truth to be lived and realized.
The worlds economic system includes false religion, governments, and business. Just look at the world today and you can clearly see this.
5For her iniquities (her crimes and transgressions) are piled up as high as heaven, and God has remembered her wickedness and [her] crimes [and calls them up for settlement].(C)
6Repay to her what she herself has paid [to others] and double [her doom] in accordance with what she has done. Mix a double portion for her in the cup she mixed [for others].(D)
7To the degree that she glorified herself and reveled in her wantonness [living deliciously and luxuriously], to that measure impose on her torment and anguish and tears and mourning. Since in her heart she boasts, I am not a widow; as a queen [on a throne] I sit, and I shall never see suffering or experience sorrow--(E)
People believe that America is great because of our free market economy and that it will stand. China is trying it, Europe, most of the whole world. But it is very fragile and the weakness of putting ones faith in the worlds economy will show plainly!
8So shall her plagues (afflictions, calamities) come thick upon her in a single day, pestilence and anguish and sorrow and famine; and she shall be utterly consumed (burned up with fire), for mighty is the Lord God Who judges her.
After a war that consumes a 1/4th of the earth, natural disasters that consume a 1/3rd of the earth, a spiritual war that kills off a 1/3rd of the earth, can you see why the economic system will crumble in just a day? Can you see how wheat and basic supplies will cost so much? How famine and disease will rise so rapidly? And how the world put their trust and faith in money and now it is totally worthless. Gold and silver will be cast into the streets as useless.
But the chosen ones of God shall be right there, being used in the full might and power of our Father. No weapon formed against us will prosper and all the while being fed, clothed, protected, and watered by Jesus Himself! Miracles abounding, discernment, healings, miraculous faith, tongues, interpretation of tongues, all abounding through us!
9And the rulers and leaders of the earth who joined her in her immorality (idolatry) and luxuriated with her will weep and beat their breasts and lament over her when they see the smoke of her conflagration.(F)
What can these leaders do, they gave the Pope their power, He told them that He would make everything alright. He told them that these so called Christians who would not join the Catholic Church were of the devil, yet they are the only ones prospering. There people cried out for this, and yet everywhere they are dying and cursing and fighting!
10They will stand a long way off, in terror of her torment, and they will cry, Woe and alas, the great city, the mighty city, Babylon! In one single hour how your doom (judgment) has overtaken you!
11And earth's businessmen will weep and grieve over her because no one buys their freight (cargo) any more.(G)
12Their merchandise is of gold, silver, precious stones, and pearls; of fine linen, purple, silk, and scarlet [stuffs]; all kinds of scented wood, all sorts of articles of ivory, all varieties of objects of costly woods, bronze, iron, and marble;(H)
13Of cinnamon, spices, incense, ointment and perfume, and frankincense, of wine and olive oil, fine flour and wheat; of cattle and sheep, horses and conveyances; and of slaves (the bodies) and souls of men!
14The ripe fruits and delicacies for which your soul longed have gone from you, and all your luxuries and dainties, your elegance and splendor are lost to you, never again to be recovered or experienced!
15The dealers who handled these articles, who grew wealthy through their business with her, will stand a long way off, in terror of her doom and torment, weeping and grieving aloud, and saying,
The only thing people have really put faith in is gone and they have no idea what to do.
16Alas, alas for the great city that was robed in fine linen, in purple and scarlet, bedecked and glittering with gold, with precious stones, and with pearls!(I)
17Because in one [single] hour all the vast wealth has been destroyed (wiped out). And all ship captains and pilots, navigators and all who live by seafaring, the crews and all who ply their trade on the sea, stood a long way off,(J)
18And exclaimed as they watched the smoke of her burning, What city could be compared to the great city!
19And they threw dust on their heads as they wept and grieved, exclaiming, Woe and alas, for the great city, where all who had ships on the sea grew rich [through her extravagance] from her great wealth! In one single hour she has been destroyed and has become a desert!(K)
20Rejoice (celebrate) over her, O heaven! O saints (people of God) and apostles and prophets, because God has executed vengeance for you upon her!(L)
21Then a single powerful angel took up a boulder like a great millstone and flung it into the sea, crying, With such violence shall Babylon the great city be hurled down to destruction and shall never again be found.(M)
Never again will money and commerce be the way.
22And the sound of harpists and minstrels and flute players and trumpeters shall never again be heard in you, and no skilled artisan of any craft shall ever again be found in you, and the sound of the millstone shall never again be heard in you.(N)
23And never again shall the light of a lamp shine in you, and the voice of bridegroom and bride shall never be heard in you again; for your businessmen were the great and prominent men of the earth, and by your magic spells and poisonous charm all nations were led astray (seduced and deluded).
24And in her was found the blood of prophets and of saints, and of all those who have been slain (slaughtered) on earth.(O)
Look at how Paul was persecuted for making the statue makers loose money when the town accepted Jesus through His preaching, Acts 19:18-34.
Revelation 19
1AFTER THIS I heard what sounded like a mighty shout of a great crowd in heaven, exclaiming, Hallelujah (praise the Lord)! Salvation and glory (splendor and majesty) and power (dominion and authority) [belong] to our God!
2Because His judgments (His condemnation and punishment, His sentences of doom) are true and sound and just and upright. He has judged (convicted, pronounced sentence, and doomed) the great and notorious harlot (idolatress) who corrupted and demoralized and poisoned the earth with her lewdness and adultery (idolatry). And He has avenged (visited on her the penalty for) the blood of His servants at her hand.(A)
Think of how the love of money has corrupted this world. And the freedom that is now had by being as our Father is. God doesn’t go and buy what He needs or wants, He speaks it into existence and now His children will live forevermore as He is. Nothing is put before our relationship with our Father.
3And again they shouted, Hallelujah (praise the Lord)! The smoke of her [burning] shall continue to ascend forever and ever (through the eternities of the eternities).(B)
4Then the twenty-four elders [of [a]the heavenly Sanhedrin] and the four living creatures fell prostrate and worshiped [paying divine honors to] God, Who sits on the throne, saying, Amen! Hallelujah (praise the Lord)!
5Then from the throne there came a voice, saying, Praise our God, all you servants of His, you who reverence Him, both small and great!(C)
6After that I heard what sounded like the shout of a vast throng, like the boom of many pounding waves, and like the roar of terrific and mighty peals of thunder, exclaiming, Hallelujah (praise the Lord)! For now the Lord our God the Omnipotent (the All-Ruler) reigns! 7Let us rejoice and shout for joy [exulting and triumphant]! Let us celebrate and ascribe to Him glory and honor, for the marriage of the Lamb [at last] has come, and His bride has prepared herself.(D)
8She has been permitted to dress in fine (radiant) linen, dazzling and white--for the fine linen is (signifies, represents) the righteousness (the upright, just, and godly living, deeds, and conduct, and right standing with God) of the saints (God's holy people).
9Then [the angel] said to me, Write this down: Blessed (happy, [b]to be envied) are those who are summoned (invited, called) to the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he said to me [further], These are the true words (the genuine and exact declarations) of God.
This is the marriage supper of the Lamb, after the Catholic Church has fallen, after Babylon has fallen, after all of the seals have been opened, the trumpets have sounded, and the plagues have been released. Notice that the voices from Heaven at last the Bride has prepared herself, at last the time for the supper is at hand. The Great Tribulation is coming to an end, and the inhabitants of Heaven are glorifying God because the Marriage has arrived.
10Then I fell prostrate at his feet to worship (to pay divine honors) to him, but he [restrained me] and said, Refrain! [You must not do that!] I am [only] another servant with you and your brethren who have [accepted and hold] the testimony borne by Jesus. Worship God! For the substance (essence) of the truth revealed by Jesus is the spirit of all prophecy [the vital breath, the inspiration of all inspired preaching and interpretation of the divine will and purpose, including both mine and yours].
Not even the angels allow people to bow down before them, yet the Pope has absolutely no problem with it!
11After that I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse [appeared]! The One Who was riding it is called Faithful (Trustworthy, Loyal, Incorruptible, Steady) and True, and He passes judgment and wages war in righteousness (holiness, justice, and uprightness).(E)
Jesus returning, this is the second time in Revelation that we are shown that this event happens at the end of times.
12His eyes [blaze] like a flame of fire, and on His head are many kingly crowns (diadems); and He has a title (name) inscribed which He alone knows or can understand.(F)
13He is dressed in a robe dyed by [c]dipping in blood, and the title by which He is called is The Word of God.
14And the troops of heaven, clothed in fine linen, dazzling and clean, followed Him on white horses.
Once again the troops of Heaven not the saints of Heaven, not the bride, but the troops of Heaven. Jesus is coming to get us. And we will be caught up with Him to be with Him when He cleanses the earth and takes over His 1,000 year rule!
15From His mouth goes forth a sharp sword with which He can smite (afflict, strike) the nations; and He will shepherd and control them with a staff (scepter, rod) of iron. He will tread the winepress of the fierceness of the wrath and indignation of God the All-Ruler (the Almighty, the Omnipotent).(G)
Notice that all of the people do not die. Jesus rules those who remain with an iron rod after He comes back. Makes sense, not everyone left is at Armageddon. There has to be people who did not take the mark of the beast. Funny but doesn’t this sound like the muslims around the world? I just can’t see them joining up with America and the Catholic Church, even if war, plagues, and natural disasters have ravished the earth. And Arabs have a covenant with God through Ishmael. But I am sure that there are others, many others. Also the Jews, can you see them taking the mark of the beast?
16And on His garment (robe) and on His thigh He has a name (title) inscribed, KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.(H)
17Then I saw a single angel stationed in the sun's [d]light, and with a mighty voice he shouted to all the birds that fly across the sky, Come, gather yourselves together for the great supper of God,(I)
18That you may feast on the flesh of rulers, the flesh of generals and captains, the flesh of powerful and mighty men, the flesh of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all humanity, both free and slave, both small and great!
19Then I saw the beast and the rulers and leaders of the earth with their troops mustered to go into battle and make war against Him Who is mounted on the horse and against His troops.
Armageddon. The anti-christ and false prophet have convinced a great number of people to come together to fight against Jesus. Now here is a question, how did they know to go there at that time? No one knows the time except God? Jesus doesn’t show up for months before and set up shop, so they can gather their armies and come against Him. So why would the anti-christ be gathering up all of these armies and people around Jerusalem at this time? Maybe to kill off the Jews? Maybe to have a big rally to try and drum up support and rally his beat down and defeated followers? A show of power against people who have to be getting fed up with all the tragedy? Maybe protection from disgruntled followers? Who knows why they have been gathered, but one thing is for sure, it is not because he knows that Jesus is returning. The rally must be to come together in unity and probably in prayer and sacrifice and billed as an attempt to come against what the anti-christ is calling the devil, which actually is God.
20And the beast was seized and overpowered, and with him the false prophet who in his presence had worked wonders and performed miracles by which he led astray those who had accepted or permitted to be placed upon them the stamp (mark) of the beast and those who paid homage and gave divine honors to his statue. Both of them were hurled alive into the fiery lake that burns and blazes with brimstone.
Think of the world watching this on television. They see thousands of troops and people, they have been hearing the rhetoric preached at them. They have just seen the two witnesses rise up to Heaven and as they watch Jesus crashes as lightening into the seen, they watch as thousands are destroyed instantly and they see the anti-christ and false prophet thrown into the lake of fire. Those who remain on the earth, those who weren’t killed and who haven’t accepted Jesus as Lord yet, have to rejoice like crazy. They have heard it preached from the saints, they didn’t believe, and yet they will be able to live under the just rule of Jesus. No more war, no more natural disasters, no more plagues. But as we will read, some will still rebel with satan when he is released in a 1,000 years.
21And the rest were killed with the sword that issues from the mouth of Him Who is mounted on the horse, and all the birds fed ravenously and glutted themselves with their flesh.
The Pope and the President are thrown into the lake of fire alive and all of the other troops are killed instantly. And God has the birds clean it all up.
Revelation 20
1THEN I saw an angel descending from heaven; he was holding the key of the Abyss (the bottomless pit) and a great chain was in his hand.
2And he gripped and overpowered the dragon, that old serpent [of primeval times], who is the devil and Satan, and [securely] bound him for a thousand years.
3Then he hurled him into the Abyss (the bottomless pit) and closed it and sealed it above him, so that he should no longer lead astray and deceive and seduce the nations until the thousand years were at an end. After that he must be liberated for a short time.
4Then I saw thrones, and sitting on them were those to whom authority to act as judges and to pass sentence was entrusted. Also I saw the souls of those who had been slain with axes [beheaded] for their witnessing to Jesus and [for preaching and testifying] for the Word of God, and who had refused to pay homage to the beast or his statue and had not accepted his mark or permitted it to be stamped on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived again and ruled with Christ (the Messiah) a thousand years.(A)
The dead in Christ have been raptured and those that were still alive have been raptured and we now rule and reign with our Lord, Jesus!
We have authority, act as judges, and rule. There has to have been people left after the Great Tribulation who weren’t killed and who never were chosen. These we rule and reign over, we rule and reign because we are one with Jesus, Who rules with an iron scepter.
5The remainder of the dead were not restored to life again until the thousand years were completed. This is the first resurrection.
6Blessed (happy, [a]to be envied) and holy (spiritually whole, of unimpaired innocence and proved virtue) is the person who takes part (shares) in the first resurrection! Over them the second death exerts no power or authority, but they shall be ministers of God and of Christ (the Messiah), and they shall rule along with Him a thousand years.
Notice here to that we minister to these people for a thousand years.
7And when the thousand years are completed, Satan will be released from his place of confinement,
8And he will go forth to deceive and seduce and lead astray the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth--Gog and Magog--to muster them for war; their number is like the sand of the sea.(B)
9And they swarmed up over the broad plain of the earth and encircled the fortress (camp) of God's people (the saints) and the beloved city; but fire descended from heaven and consumed them. [II Kings 1:10-12; Ezek. 38:2, 22.]
10Then the devil who had led them astray [deceiving and seducing them] was hurled into the fiery lake of burning brimstone, where the beast and false prophet were; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever (through the ages of the ages).
God is just, everyone must be given a chance. These people have had children and have grown again, think of how the earth has changed and grown over the last 1,000 with all of the wars and diseases that have killed millions. The earth will explode in its population during this 1,000 of peace and protection of Jesus. And some will be chosen because their hearts are right and some wont. So satan is allowed to come and get his kids, to be with him where he is. Just as we are with our Father where He is.
11Then I saw a great white throne and the One Who was seated upon it, from Whose presence and from the sight of Whose face earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them.
12I [also] saw the dead, great and small; they stood before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is [the Book] of Life. And the dead were judged (sentenced) by what they had done [[b]their whole way of feeling and acting, their aims and endeavors] in accordance with what was recorded in the books.
The dead are raised. Think about it, not just those who died before and during the Great Tribulation, but those who lived and died during the 1,000 year reign of Jesus. There are probably people who were chosen and yet who died during this time. They aren’t raised up to be thrown into the lake of fire.
13And the sea delivered up the dead who were in it, death and Hades ([c]the state of death or disembodied existence) surrendered the dead in them, and all were tried and their cases determined by what they had done [according to their motives, aims, and works].
14Then death and Hades ([d]the state of death or disembodied existence) were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire.
15And if anyone's [name] was not found recorded in the Book of Life, he was hurled into the lake of fire.
Revelation 21
1THEN I saw a new [a]sky (heaven) and a new earth, for the former [b]sky and the former earth had passed away (vanished), and there no longer existed any sea.(A)
2And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, all arrayed like a bride beautified and adorned for her husband;
3Then I heard a mighty voice from the throne and I perceived its distinct words, saying, See! The abode of God is with men, and He will live (encamp, tent) among them; and they shall be
His people, and God shall personally be with them and be their God.(B)
We are forever with our Father and He is forever with us.
4God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and death shall be no more, neither shall there be anguish (sorrow and mourning) nor grief nor pain any more, for the old conditions and the former order of things have passed away.(C)
Notice that death is no more after the millennial reign of Christ. There will be anguish and sorrow, and tears until then. If people are dying during the 1,000 years, people will cry, they will feel grief and pain. But here in the New Heaven, no death, no grief, no pain, no suffering.
5And He Who is seated on the throne said, See! I make all things new. Also He said, Record this, for these sayings are faithful (accurate, incorruptible, and trustworthy) and true (genuine).(D)
6And He [further] said to me, It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I [Myself] will give water without price from the fountain (springs) of the water of Life.(E)
Remember that God’s wrath was poured out against Babylon, the world economic system, and here Jesus once again takes a jab at it, saying without price.
7He who is victorious shall inherit all these things, and I will be God to him and he shall be My son.
8But as for the cowards and the ignoble and the contemptible and the cravenly lacking in courage and the cowardly submissive, and as for the unbelieving and faithless, and as for the depraved and defiled with abominations, and as for murderers and the lewd and adulterous and the practicers of magic arts and the idolaters (those who give supreme devotion to anyone or anything other than God) and all liars (those who knowingly convey untruth by word or deed)--[all of these shall have] their part in the lake that blazes with fire and brimstone. This is the second death.(F)
Cowards, those who choose the anti-christ for the fear of being killed or tortured for Jesus and the submissive, get nothing of God.
9Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls filled with the seven final plagues (afflictions, calamities) came and spoke to me. He said, Come with me! I will show you the bride, the Lamb's wife.
10Then in the Spirit He conveyed me away to a vast and lofty mountain and exhibited to me the holy (hallowed, consecrated) city of Jerusalem descending out of heaven from God,(G)
The city is not Jesus’ Bride, we are, John can see us because this is where we will be in the New Jerusalem. Read Ephesians 5:31-32.
11Clothed in God's glory [in all its splendor and radiance]. The luster of it resembled a rare and most precious jewel, like jasper, shining clear as crystal.
12It had a massive and high wall with twelve [large] gates, and at the gates [there were stationed] twelve angels, and [on the gates] the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel were written:(H)
13On the east side three gates, on the north side three gates, on the south side three gates, and on the west side three gates.
14And the wall of the city had twelve foundation [stones], and on them the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
15And he who spoke to me had a golden measuring reed (rod) to measure the city and its gates and its wall.(I)
16The city lies in a square, its length being the same as its width. And he measured the city with his reed--12,000 stadia (about 1,500 miles); its length and width and height are the same.
1,500 miles high, no more lack of atmosphere!
17He measured its wall also--144 cubits (about 72 yards) by a man's measure [[c]of a cubit from his elbow to his third fingertip], which is [the measure] of the angel.
18The wall was built of jasper, while the city [itself was of] pure gold, clear and transparent like glass.
19The foundation [stones] of the wall of the city were ornamented with all of the precious stones. The first foundation [stone] was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony (or white agate), the fourth emerald,(J)
20The fifth onyx, the sixth sardius, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, the twelfth amethyst.
21And the twelve gates were twelve pearls, each separate gate being built of one solid pearl. And the main street (the broadway) of the city was of gold as pure and translucent as glass.
22I saw no temple in the city, for the Lord God Omnipotent [Himself] and the Lamb [Himself] are its temple.
23And the city has no need of the sun nor of the moon to give light to it, for the splendor and radiance (glory) of God illuminate it, and the Lamb is its lamp.(K)
24The nations shall walk by its light and the rulers and leaders of the earth shall bring into it their glory.
Nations, people, and rulers? How can this be? Think about it, those who did not join with satan after he was released from the Abyss. We have been preaching for 1,000 years, somebody had to listen. Jesus said that the dead would be judged, not the living. Not everyone joined satan and they will be part of an earth that does not taste death, has no sorrow or grief. The earth will finally be as God has always intended. And God dwells among men and we rule in the new Jerusalem with Him.
25And its gates shall never be closed by day, and there shall be no night there.(L)
26They shall bring the glory (the splendor and majesty) and the honor of the nations into it.
27But nothing that defiles or profanes or is [d]unwashed shall ever enter it, nor anyone who commits abominations (unclean, detestable, morally repugnant things) or practices falsehood, but only those whose names are recorded in the Lamb's Book of Life.
The only ones who can enter the new Jerusalem is Those who were caught up with Jesus at His return, because we were one with Him.
Revelation 22
1THEN HE showed me the river whose waters give life, sparkling like crystal, flowing out from the throne of God and of the Lamb
2Through the middle of the broadway of the city; also, on either side of the river was the tree of life with its twelve varieties of fruit, yielding each month its fresh crop; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing and the restoration of the nations.(A)
God’s constant provisions keeps the nations healthy and whole.
3There shall no longer exist there anything that is accursed (detestable, foul, offensive, impure, hateful, or horrible). But the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall worship Him [pay divine honors to Him and do Him holy service].(B)
No more sin, no more separation from God, all people can see His face. He is no longer shrouded in a cloud. Everything is pure.
4They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads.(C)
5And there shall be no more night; they have no need for lamplight or sunlight, for the Lord God will illuminate them and be their light, and they shall reign [as kings] forever and ever (through the eternities of the eternities).
6And he [of the seven angels further] said to me, These statements are reliable (worthy of confidence) and genuine (true). And the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, has sent His messenger (angel) to make known and exhibit to His servants what must soon come to pass.
7And behold, I am coming speedily. Blessed (happy and [a]to be envied) is he who observes and lays to heart and keeps the truths of the prophecy (the predictions, consolations, and warnings) contained in this [little] book.
8And I, John, am he who heard and witnessed these things. And when I heard and saw them, I fell prostrate before the feet of the messenger (angel) who showed them to me, to worship him.
9But he said to me, Refrain! [You must not do that!] I am [only] a fellow servant along with yourself and with your brethren the prophets and with those who are mindful of and practice [the truths contained in] the messages of this book. Worship God!
10And he [further] told me, Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book and make no secret of them, for the time [b]when things are brought to a crisis and the period of their fulfillment is near.
11He who is unrighteous (unjust, wicked), let him be unrighteous still; and he who is filthy (vile, impure), let him be filthy still; and he who is righteous (just, upright, in right standing with God), let him do right still; and he who is holy, let him be holy still.(D)
12Behold, I am coming soon, and I shall bring My wages and rewards with Me, to repay and render to each one just what his own actions and his own work merit.(E)
Thank God the saved are dead in Christ and our works are now Jesus’ works through us, and Jesus merits a great reward!
13I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last (the Before all and the End of all).(F)
14Blessed (happy and [c]to be envied) are those who cleanse their garments, that they may have the authority and right to [approach] the tree of life and to enter through the gates into the city.(G)
15[But] without are the dogs and those who practice sorceries (magic arts) and impurity [the lewd, adulterers] and the murderers and idolaters and everyone who loves and deals in falsehood (untruth, error, deception, cheating).
16I, Jesus, have sent My messenger (angel) to you to witness and to give you assurance of these things for the churches (assemblies). I am the Root (the Source) and the Offspring of David, the radiant and brilliant Morning Star.(H)
17The [Holy] Spirit and the bride (the church, the true Christians) say, Come! And let him who is listening say, Come! And let everyone come who is thirsty [who is painfully conscious of his need [d]of those things by which the soul is refreshed, supported, and strengthened]; and whoever [earnestly] desires to do it, let him come, take, appropriate, and drink the water of Life without cost.(I)
Here again we see that the bride is the church, not the New Jerusalem. Through Christ our souls are refreshed and supported. Jesus is our Head, He is our Shepherd, He is the Vine. For those empowered to accept Him, He is their everything, for without Him we can do nothing, John 15:5.
18I [personally solemnly] warn everyone who listens to the statements of the prophecy [the [e]predictions and the consolations and admonitions pertaining to them] in this book: If anyone shall add anything to them, God will add and lay upon him the plagues (the afflictions and the calamities) that are recorded and described in this book.
19And if anyone cancels or takes away from the statements of the book of this prophecy [these [f]predictions relating to Christ's kingdom and its speedy triumph, together with the consolations and admonitions or warnings pertaining to them], God will cancel and take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the city of holiness (purity and hallowedness), which are described and promised in this book.
This scripture has been used by people to talk about us loosing our salvation. But the Truth is no one who has been grafted into the Vine would ever take away or add to this prophecy. If they would than God would have made a mistake by grafting them into the Vine in the first place. God knows the beginning and the end, but yet He grafted someone in whose heart wasn’t right?
