More Than Just Words For The World

“Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them. There came also a multitude out of the cities round about Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.” Acts 5:15-16

“And there he found a certain man named Aeneas, which had kept his bed eight years, and was sick of the palsy. And Peter said unto him, Aeneas, Jesus Christ maketh thee whole: arise and make thy bed. And he arose immediately. And all that dwelt in Lyda and Saron saw him, and turned to the Lord.” Acts 9:33-35

A man was healed by the power of God flowing throw a believer, and because this sick man was loved in deed and not just with words, two whole cities turned to the Lord and were saved! Do you believe that if Peter had just gone and told this sick man that he was praying for him and that Jesus loved him, that there would have been the same result? Does God change? Did God love Lyda and Saron more that He loves Paris, New York, Columbus, or New Albany?

There are dozens of other scriptures that show the power of God working through His children, loving people in need with action and immediate answers and not just with words. Jesus told us that all who believe would act as the Apostles acted. “And Jesus said unto them, Go into all the world, and preach the Gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In My Name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak in new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” Mark 16:15-18

We have been strengthened with Christ, the Anointing of God, so that all of us who believe can be used by God to do the works that Jesus did and walk as Jesus walked. The same Jesus Christ that healed through Peter will heal through us. Peter didn’t walk in his own power, his faith was Authored by Jesus, just as our faith is. The church has become very good at preaching with only enticing words, but allowing God to work fully through us is another story. Enticing words are not God’s will for those in need. God’s will is that He can work powerfully for those in need even through the least one of us. Faith comes from us hearing this, and Jesus will Author and Finish our faith so that we can be used to bring full glory and honor to God, by allowing Him to be Who He is within us. Through the power of Christ we can go beyond just saying that we love God, to truly loving God, loving Him in Truth and in deed! Today is the day of our salvation and now is our accepted time! God has placed His Spirit within us and He has caused us to walk in His statutes and in His judgments! We have called upon the Name of the Lord and we are saved! Jesus is our Vine and we are His branches, and the will of God is for Jesus to produce much fruit through us! These are the Truth’s of who we are in Christ and these are the Truth’s of Who God is within us! The Truth will set us free and our freedom will show itself through God’s active deeds of love, and the world will believe and be saved! We are God’s glorious church, a chosen royal priesthood. Through the power of Christ God has removed all of our spots and wrinkles, and He has cleansed our blemishes, and He has strengthened us with His very might! Glory be to God, this is the Truth!

Father I thank You that through Christ we all come to the full knowledge of Your Truth. I pray that we go from just talking about Your fullness to being fully used by You! Father with You all things are possible and the Blood of Jesus has strengthened us so that we can now be partakers of all of Your possibilities! Father I thank You that You never change and that it is still Your will that we are used by You to show Your immense love to the world in action and in deed! Father You are greater in us than anything that is in this world and through You we can be used to do all things! Thank You!
