Revelation 1:17-18

17 When I saw Him, I fell at His feet as if dead. But He laid His right hand on me and said, Do not be afraid! I am the First and the Last,
Jesus always brings peace to us. This vision of our Lord scared the daylights out of John, but Jesus was right there with him and gave him peace. John had no idea what was going on, but Jesus was right there with him giving him the strength and courage to see the Truth. Jesus never leaves us or forsakes us. There are many who believe that man does not have the capacity right now to see our Father as He is. They actually believe that our Father’s glory will burn us up because of our sin. But as Jesus told us in verse 5, we are now free from sin and here John stands right before all of our Father’s glory and He lived to tell us about it!
Far too many people want to talk about our limitations as humans instead of our Father’s limitless power. This is why so many fear the Truth of Revelation, because they have far more faith in our shortcomings then our Lord’s victory. Our Father made us to be weak, so that He could be the strength in our life’s. He made us to mess up.
For God has consigned (penned up) all men to disobedience, only that He may have mercy on them all [alike]. Romans 11:32
The Truth is our Father is not going to come down to the earth and kick the living daylights out of us because we have been bad. How petty do people actually believe that He is? As a loving parent He will bring about situations that cause us to grow and mature. Our Father will use whatever means necessary to bring us to the glorious Truth that it is His power and abilities that bring life and bring it abundantly. The wrath of Revelation will all be done in love and each and every event told to us in this Book will cause people to grow in the knowledge that our Father is alive and that He is in control. As the world grows weak, our Father will grow strong in each of us, even those who do not believe in Him. They may need to die and spend some time in Hades, but they will eventually be raised up, forgiven, and welcomed into the Wedding Feast. They will be saved as ones who passed through the fire, but amen they still will be saved.
But if any person's work is burned up [under the test], he will suffer the loss [of it all, losing his reward], though he himself will be saved, but only as [one who has passed] through fire. 1 Corinthians 3:15
18 And the Ever-living One [I am living in the eternity of the eternities]. I died, but see, I am alive forevermore; and I possess the keys of death and Hades (the realm of the dead).
We are shown that our Groom, our Lord, our Savior, Jesus, totally controls death and hell. This glorious Truth is to be constantly remembered while reading His Prophecy of the end times. We have the peace of knowing that Jesus is always in control of all of the events of the end of this world. He is in control of everything and His perfect love drives all fear from us! Through Christ we have the perfect peace of knowing that we will only die when our Lord allows us to and not one second before. This Truth should bring you a great deal of peace because no one and nothing can ever override our Father’s will for us.
There is no fear in love [dread does not exist], but full-grown (complete, perfect) love turns fear out of doors and expels every trace of terror! For fear brings with it the thought of punishment, and [so] he who is afraid has not reached the full maturity of love [is not yet grown into love's complete perfection]. 1 John 4:18
