Revelation 2:15-17

15 You also have some who in a similar way are clinging to the teaching of the Nicolaitans [those corrupters of the people] which thing I hate.
16 Repent [then]! Or else I will come to you quickly and fight against them with the sword of My mouth.
The chosen ones knew what was going on in Pergamum, and I honestly believe that this was Jesus telling them through John, “I know, I know exactly what is going on.” Jesus tells those truly chosen that He will succeed and that He will cause them to succeed as well! Then as history repeats itself, those who are part of churches that resemble this one, will have the Holy Spirit lead them to this prophesy and they also will see the Truth clearly. There is a blessing at reading the specific prophesy of Revelation out loud to the assembles and this is why, to let each generation know the Truth that will set them free, regardless of what false leaders are proclaiming!
17 He who is able to hear, let him listen to and heed what the Spirit says to the assemblies (churches). To him who overcomes (conquers), I will give to eat of the manna that is hidden, and I will give him a white stone with a new name engraved on the stone, which no one knows or understands except he who receives it.
We have studied about three churches now, one has left Jesus, one is being persecuted, and now one is letting multiple false teachings in. All three churches have also been told what they need to do, not what our Father will do through them. We can look at many churches today and see the exact same things happening. And once again to the truly saved, Jesus is letting us know that even with all of this, that He will cause His chosen ones to be with Him where He is. Those who just have a form of godliness will read these letters and proclaim what we have to do to be right with our Father. Those who are called and chosen will read them and glorify our Father for doing what is needed through us.
The Bride has the Holy Spirit within us, teaching us all things and one of the greatest things that He will teach us is that once we are saved, we are always saved. We do not fear loosing the gift of our salvation. So when Jesus tells these people that their candlestick will be removed from them we know beyond any shadow of a doubt that He is not talking to us. We have the same confidence about our life’s during the Great Tribulation. We know that our Shepherd will not let us be lost and that our Father will absolutely keep us until the day of our redemption, regardless of how powerful the anti-christ and false prophet may seem.
For God's gifts and His call are irrevocable. [He never withdraws them when once they are given, and He does not change His mind about those to whom He gives His grace or to whom He sends His call.] Romans 11:29
