Righteousness Part V

For being ignorant of the righteousness that God ascribes [which makes one acceptable to Him in word, thought, and deed] and seeking to establish a righteousness (a means of salvation) of their own, they did not obey or submit themselves to God’s righteousness. For Christ is the end of the Law [the limit at which it ceases to be, for the Law leads up to Him Who is the fulfillment of its types, and in Him the purpose which it was designed to accomplish is fulfilled. That is, the purpose of the Law is fulfilled in Him] as the means of righteousness (right relationship to God) for everyone who trusts in and adheres to and relies on Him. Romans 10:3-4

So many are preaching that we should walk righteously, as if by our own human power we have the ability too. The righteousness that is trying to be established by so many is this, we will sin, yet we will be righteous as long as we repent and ask our Father for forgiveness. What is the difference between that work or going out and offering up a goat or cow as a sin offering? There is no difference, none whatsoever.

Our Father doesn’t say that we will know who is born of Him by the way they repent. He says that we will know them by the way that they are empowered by Him to walk righteously, as Jesus was empowered by God to walk righteously. Jesus didn’t earn His righteousness, He was born with it. He was born of God and He was and is God! Jesus can’t help but be righteous, He is One with it, it’s in Him, and now who are we one with? People are trying to go out and earn righteousness, they are ignorant of the Truth of God and they will fail each and every time.

You want to be righteous? Well if you do, it only comes from Jesus and you have to be empowered by the Holy Spirit to look unto to Jesus to Author and Finish the faith within you that will allow you to see who God has made you! Then you will walk righteously as Jesus, in an unshakeable knowledge of who you are in God! Faith comes from hearing the Truth of God and the Truth of God absolutely and eternally sets us free!
