We Are One With The Power Of God

Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of everlasting covenant, Make you perfect in every good work to do His will, working in you that which is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ; to Whom be glory for ever and ever. A-men. Hebrews 13:20-21

This is true godly service, God working through us on His level, not on our human level. Our Father’s normal is our miraculous and He said that He would do above all that we can think of or ask for. He also tells us that He would do it by the power of His might that is at work within us!

Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]— Ephesians 3:20

Our Father is concerned with our whole person, our whole spirit, our whole soul, and our whole body. Virtue allows us to give as our Father gives and Jesus has given us His virtue and all of the other things that pertain unto life and godliness.

For His divine power has bestowed upon us all things that [are requisite and suited] to life and godliness, through the [full, personal] knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His own glory and excellence (virtue). 2 Peter 1:3

We have been redeemed with the Blood of Christ and we have been freely justified by it. We are born again, we are born again by the very Spirit of God, and we are one with Him, just as the branch is one with the vine. Through Christ we are now one with the complete and full miraculous power of our Father, Who came from nowhere, stood on nothing, and spoke and here it all is!

So often we want to believe that we have to do the works. But here in Hebrews 13 we plainly see that it is our Father within us making us perfect and it is His will working through us. Our Father is not passively sitting by waiting on us to act. He is active and alive in us, causing us to carry out His will and because He is all things now work together for our good.
