"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love:" Ephesians 1:3-4
Our Father has blessed us with how many spiritual blessings? The glorious Truth is that He has blessed us with all blessings! Where do we have all of these spiritual blessings, in Christ? Where are we now? "At that day ye shall know that I am in the Father, and ye in Me, and I in you." John 14:20 We were chosen in Christ before this earth was even made! Everything Jesus has, we have, we are joint-heirs with Him, and as God proclaims, “And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:” Ephesians 2:6 We are in Jesus right now and we have been raised up to sit with Him in Heavenly places, so all, each and every, spiritual blessings are ours right now!
A-men we have been given it all, not just some blessings, not partially, but God has given us all blessings. Shout it out loud, "I have been given all spiritual blessings by God Himself!" So why has God not limited our blessings? Why has He given us all spiritual blessings, well, just so that we can be holy and without blame of course! I hope you are not getting tired of hearing that we are holy, that we are perfect, righteous, sanctified, glorified, and joint-heirs, because we have 52 more posting's of scriptural truths from God that say we are. We will study every one too. No one will be able to say that we base our faith on a few verses and no one will be able to say we are taking these verses out of context.
We absolutely and positively have to lay the foundation of the gifts that have been freely given us. Why? Because our Father wants us to have it all and the world so desperately needs us to be as God is on this earth. Let’s face it religion has failed. Abortion is accepted, we can’t talk about the Word of God in schools, divorce, sickness, and fear are wide spread, and how many different churches are there anyway? The world needs us to be what and who these verses proclaim we are in Christ, and with God, we can’t help but be! And before Jesus returns we will be!
"Beloved, now we are the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be; but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is. And every man that has this hope in him purifieth himself, even as He is pure." 1 John 3:2-3 I use to think that this scripture meant that when Jesus returned we would become like Him, yet that is not what God said. Look at the scriptures that we have studied together so far. Jesus told us to be perfect even as God is perfect. We have studied that we are joint-heirs right now, we have learned that we are like Jesus on this earth, right now. The Truth is Jesus is going to return when the church is like Him; we will not become like Him when He returns, but He returns because we are like Him.
Look at John 14:12, "Verily, verily, I say unto you. He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto My Father." Now for us to do the same works is almost unthinkable for so many of us at this time. But Jesus says that we will do greater works than He did. The only way that we can ever do greater works, and we will, not because I said it, but because Jesus said it, I just agree with it, is by us being like Him. Because when we are like Him, God will be able to work through us under the full power of the New Covenant! I have never heard of a person doing greater works than Jesus, but Jesus says that we will be used by God to perform them. So I believe that we will be like Him and then He will return. Jesus prayed that we would be one, even as He is one with God, so that the world will believe. Jesus is God, He was God when He was here, and now we are one with Him. Our Father came and joined with human flesh to birth Jesus from Mary, so if we can believe this, why should it be that He didn’t come and join with us right now? Jesus was perfect because He was born of God; we are perfect because we are born of God. We can be born again, because of Jesus sacrifice. The scriptures just keep saying it over and over, and faith comes from hearing the Words of God!
Pray about this. Even if you disagree that we have been given such glory, it should still be the goal of all believers to have our Father to work mightily through them. It is not arrogant to desire to be like Christ. "He that saith he abideth in Him ought himself also so to walk, even as He walked." 1 John 2:6 It is a goal we can never achieve on our own, only our Father can conform us into the very image of Jesus. Only the Spirit can teach and guide us. Jesus told us to be perfect, so it is not wrong to desire it. Jesus is not coming back because of evil, He is coming back for a church without spot, wrinkle, or blemish. Ephesians 5:26-27, "That He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of the Word, That He might present it to Himself a glorious church, not having spot, wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish."
Isn't the salvation we have in Christ wonderful? I mean look at how our Father sees us. We are the Brides of Christ. We are sanctified, not by works, no way, we could never make it, we are set apart for His holy use, free from sin, and purified by God Himself. He wants us that way, so that we can be glorious and without spot or wrinkle. Our Father wants us this way so that we can be like Him, here on this earth, so that He can use us to do greater works than He used Jesus to do, so we can be His beautiful bride! A bride that has the glorious and freeing power of her groom being revealed in all of its glory through her. Take that satan, we know who we are, we know who He is, and we know what salvation is and what is has done for us, so satan get ye behind us in Jesus' Name!
Greater love has no man than to lay down his life for his friends. Jesus laid His life down for us and it meant something! Allow God to be Who He is in you this day. Jesus ever lives to make intercession for us and God always causes us to triumph in Christ.
