A Benefit Of Salvation: Whatever We Ask For Shall Be Done

"If ye abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you." John 15:7

Hallelujah, there are so many different areas that we can praise God concerning this Truth! But as I was praying about what God wanted us to study, He told me that the real power of this verse is with our relationship with Him. More specifically, the fact that we now have direct access and ability through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to go to our Father with anything and everything! We can because we are now members of our Fathers body, flesh of His flesh, and bone of His bone. "Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine, no more can ye, except ye abide in Me. I am the vine, ye are the branches. He that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without Me ye can do nothing." John 15:4-5

God our Father is the Creator of everything, and there is no power that is greater than He is, and our Father has created us to have direct access to Him. But the Truth of our relationship is really so much more than that, because through the power of Christ we have actually become one with our Father, as Jesus is One with our Father. God has given us the ability through faith Authored by Jesus to ask Him for whatever we will, just as Jesus asks God for whatever He wills! Our Father, the Creator of it all, has said that He will give us whatever we ask for, and to have all of this power all we have to do is to abide in Him and have His Word abide in us. This isn’t a benefit of salvation that is reserved for just a select few of us either; it’s for each and every believer, because every born again believer who has been chosen by God and baptized with the Holy Spirit has the Word abiding within them. This isn’t a hard Truth to live either, “For My yoke is easy, and My burden light.” Matthew 11:30 Jesus is the Word, John 1:14, and every one of us who has been empowered and chosen to make Jesus the Lord of our lives has Jesus abiding within him. “And the glory which Thou gavest Me I have given them; that they may be one, as we are One: I in them, and Thou in Me, that they may be perfect in one, and that the world may know that Thou hast sent Me, and hast loved them, as Thou hast loved Me.” John 17:22-23 It is impossible for us to have been empowered by the Holy Spirit to accept Jesus and make Him the Lord of our lives, and then choose to not have Him abiding within us. If we choose to live apart from Christ then we have never been chosen by God and baptized with the Holy Spirit and we aren’t saved! The two go hand in hand! Salvation is unity and oneness with God our Father through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior! So ask what you will, you have The Word abiding within you and you abide in Him! Now you may not be as mature as you’re going to be, but if you are saved, Jesus abides within you and you abide within Him. So ask and receive, seek and find, and knock and the door will be opened unto you, herein is our Father glorified that you bare much fruit!
