God Is Always With Us, Even When We Are Bad

“Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” Hebrews 13:5

Our Father is not only with us as long as we do what is right. He is with us until the day that Jesus returns. God now keeps us from all evil and He will continue to keep us safe until the day that He destroys evil completely! If we mess up, satan doesn’t get free reign to beat the snot out of us! If that were the case then we would still be in a Covenant that was just like the Old Covenant. There may be a different set of rules, but still our communion with God would be based upon our own actions. This is not the power of the New Covenant that Jesus has established for us. Our Father knew that were weak, so He sent Jesus, to ratify a New Covenant that would allow Him to be strong within us. We enjoy a Covenant that is not determined by our own works. We now enjoy a Covenant that allows God to be united with us continually, walking with us, and leading us, right here in the thick of things, just as He was and is with Jesus. If there is any disciplining to be done, it will be done by God and not by satan! “As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten, be zealous therefore, and repent.” Revelation 3:19

We are preserved in Christ. We are now preserved in the Anointing of God! There is now no more fear of messing up for us. It’s no longer like. “oh man, I just had a bad thought; I am no longer in fellowship with God.” Our actions no longer limit our Father from being with us. We are now kept by God until He does away with evil all together! Sure we repent, but that doesn’t mean that we have been separated from our Father, it just means that He has led us in the paths of righteousness and that He has empowered us to have the hope and faith to change our ways. Our Father is now continually within us. He never leaves us or forsakes us and if we mess up, and it is if we mess up, not when we mess up, remember 1 John 2:1, God will still remain. “My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:” Our disobedience does not cause God to flee from us; it causes Him to correct us and to bring us back into the paths of righteousness! Our actions no longer separate us from God; the Blood of Christ insures that they don't. Through Christ we stand united in God, preserved in Him, and sealed by Him. We are sealed by the actions of Jesus, by the perfect actions of our Lord and Savior! Don’t let people preach to you that if you mess up, than your actions give satan some kind of right to come and reap havoc on you. No way, God is still in control and He still is our Father, and our Father will discipline us, not satan!
