God Keeps Us Clean

"I am the Vine, and My Father is the Husbandman. (or Gardner)" John 15:1

Jesus refers to us as the branches in John 15:5. Now a branch does not defend itself, or keep itself, from the things that can destroy it, the Gardener does, and our Gardener is God. There is no one more capable, more qualified, more loving, more powerful, more understanding, or more omnipotent, and we have Him and He has us completely! God is our Dad, our Father, and His Spirit cries this Truth out from within us.

In the Bible Jesus is referred to as our Shepherd. Now is it the responsibility of the sheep to keep themselves from harm and danger, or is it the responsibility of the Shepherd? Are the sheep responsible for finding food, or water? What about shelter? When their hair grows too long, are they required to trim it? What if they are injured? Who is responsible for their entire well being? The shepherd is responsible completely for the well being of the sheep and Jesus is now our Shepherd! Jesus is also referred to as the Head of the body. We see all throughout the Bible that our Father declares that He will keep us from sin, that He will guide us, that He will lead us, that He will give us His Spirit, and that He will protect us. That is the love that God has for us, absolute eternal salvation, insured by Himself, because there is no greater to insure it by. There is no greater insurance available than the presence and promises of the Living God!

We have gone to great lengths in our studies to prove with God's Word, the only Word that matters, that we are now one with Him, this day, through Jesus our Lord and Savior. We have learned that Jesus is in us and that we are in Jesus. Now we are going to build on that study with scriptures that proclaim that we are clean, pure, sanctified, holy, and perfect because of this unity. And remember that today is the day of our salvation, and God is not a respecter of persons, so all who have truly been chosen and empowered to call on the name of the Lord can have all of these promises and scriptures realized in their lives this day!

I love you, and through the power of God that is within us we are able to proclaim from the rooftops what Jesus has proclaimed in silence! We are blessed beyond expression through the power of Jesus’ might that keeps us clean.
