Philippians 4:9

9 Practice what you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, and model your way of living on it, and the God of peace (of untroubled, undisturbed well-being) will be with you.

Do you think that our Father is just with us, or do you believe that He is active through us? I can’t imagine God, the Creator of All just hanging out and waiting on us. Jesus tells us that those who are of the Kingdom are as little children, Luke 18:16. Think about it, what kind of parent would a person be if they just stood around their little children and didn’t do anything for them unless the child first did something to earn it? Our Father is not passive and He is not reactive to us, we are reactive to Him. That is what Grace does for us.

It is a reason for pride and exultation to which our conscience testifies that we have conducted ourselves in the world [generally] and especially toward you, with devout and pure motives and godly sincerity, not in fleshly wisdom but by the grace of God (the unmerited favor and merciful kindness by which God, exerting His holy influence upon souls, turns them to Christ, and keeps, strengthens, and increases them in Christian virtues). 2 Corinthians 1:12

Our Father will cause us to practice and He will cause us to think on what He wants us too. He will never leave us and He will never forsake us as He does these things for us. Our Father is faithful and He is always willing to do exactly what we need.

God is faithful (reliable, trustworthy, and therefore ever true to His promise, and He can be depended on); by Him you were called into companionship and participation with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. 1 Corinthians 1:9
