Through Christ We Have All Of The Things Of God

“But seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33

Jesus was telling the people that if they would just seek God first and His righteousness that all of the things that the Gentiles sought after: clothes, houses, and food, would be added unto them! The great Truth here is the level that Jesus said they would be added unto us. “And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: and yet I say unto you, that even Solomon in all of his glory was not arrayed like one of these.” Matthew 6:28-29 God just doesn’t want us clothed; He wants us clothed like He clothes the flowers of the field, in full brilliance and splendor! And praise God, just as the lilies in the field, we don’t have to take thought for it, because God provides the best of everything for us. Through Christ our clothes will be as stunning as the lilies in the field, our food sumptuous, and our dwellings will be ones that are filled with the glory, joy, health, love, faith, hope, and peace of God Himself! God wants us to have all things and all we have to do is to seek Him first. The great freedom here is that we have Jesus leading us into the paths of righteousness, so that through His power and leadership we will. “He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His Name’s sake.” Psalm 23:3 We have Jesus as our Shepherd and Jesus is the Head of our body! We are crucified with Christ and nevertheless we live, yet it is not us that is alive, it is Christ within us! We cannot help but to seek God first, the power of Jesus that is now within us is seeking God as He seeks God. We seek God first because Jesus causes us to seek God first and all of these things are added to us! All things are possible for us since we have Jesus enabling us to believe for all things, and faith comes from hearing the Truth that God wants us to have all things!
