How awesome are these two verses of scripture? We are included in Christ, we are marked with the Holy Spirit, guaranteeing our inheritance! You need to say that out loud, guaranteed! We are now God’s possessions! If you don’t get excited over these Truths, what will you get excited over? These scriptures so strengthen our study of who we now are in Christ. First of all, we were included in Christ. Notice our Father does not say that we will be included in Christ, not that we are going to be included, not that we are being included, as if it is some process, no plain and simple our Father says that we were included, past tense. We are right now God’s possessions! In our Father's eyes it is a done deal!
"But God, Who is rich in mercy, for His great love wherewith He loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:" Ephesians 2:4-5
“For He says, in the time of favor (of an assured welcome) I have listened to and heeded your call, and I have helped you on the day of deliverance (the day of salvation). Behold now is truly the time of a gracious welcome and acceptance [of you from God]; behold now is the day of salvation!” 2 Corinthians 6:2 Amplified Bible
Now is when we are included in Christ. Now we are filled with the Holy Spirit and now we are God’s possessions! The Truth has set us free to one with God, just as our Lord and Savior is One with God.
