We Are Perfect In Christ, So Forget The Past

"Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press towards the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you." Philippians 3:13-15

Sure we all talk about forgetting the wrongs that we have committed, but how many of us actually do it? Well, once again faith comes from hearing and hearing from the Word of God! We are born again of God, through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, so who and what we now are have come directly from our Father, Who is God! So let’s look at the Word to see how our Father is.

“As far as the east is from the west, so far hath He removed our transgressions from us.” Psalm 103:12

“And you, being dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath He quickened together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting and the ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to the His cross.” Colossians 2:12-13

Our Father has removed all of our sins away from us, as far as the east is from the west, which is as far as it gets! Our Father has forgiven us all of our trespasses by uniting us and by making us alive together with Himself. Through the Cross our Father took all of the ordinances and handwritings that were against us and threw them out the door. Jesus abolished them all, hallelujah, He abolished them all, every last law to convict us by has been done away with! Past, present, and future, all, praise God are gone, removed from us, as far as the east is from the west!

Why do you think King David wrote that we are so blessed? “Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, Saying, blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.” Romans 4:6-7 Through Christ we have been raised up to ever live to be one and serve the Living God and just as Jesus died unto sin once, so have we! And today is the Day of this salvation.

Also remember that we now have the Mind of Christ, 1 Corinthians 2:16, so we too can forget all sin. We now have a mind that forgives and removes our own sin and the sin of others.
