We Cannot Be Corrupted

“By means of these He has bestowed on us His precious and exceedingly great promises, so that through them you may escape [by flight] from moral decay (rottenness and corruption) that is in this world because of covetousness (lust and greed), and becoming sharers (partakers) of the Divine nature.” 2 Peter 1:4 Amplified Bible

Through the power of Christ we have become sharers of God’s Divine Nature, and just as the rottenness and corruption of this world cannot touch our Lord and Savior Jesus, they now cannot touch us who are one with Him! Nothing can corrupt Jesus and we are now members of His body, of His flesh, and of His bone! God has rescued us from this world and He has allowed us to become one with His Own Nature, it’s our destiny in Christ! These precious and exceedingly great promises are for us right now! Our justification is now, our glorification is now, our calling is now, and we are now the sons of God, because we are one with God right now! “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew Him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as He is pure.” 1 John 3:1-3

We have escaped the hatred of this world. When they wanted to stone Jesus, He just walked away. When they wanted to throw Him over the cliff, He just walked away. When satan tempted Him, He just told him to leave. When it was time to crucify our Lord, He permitted them to do it. They asked who He was, and as He told them, they fell back and to the ground, and He permitted them to get up and He allowed them to do what it is they had to do. And then on the Cross He forgave them all, for they knew not what they had done! Just as our Lord escaped and has escaped all moral decay, corruption, and rottenness, so have we; and we have done it through the free gift of our Fathers Anointing!
