Our Fellowship Is With God

“To reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the heathen, immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood!” Galatians 1:16

Paul makes such a great statement of faith here. How many of us want to rush a new believer off to a class, or group, we don’t want them to loose the momentum! But the Truth is that all new believers have been chosen by God to be born again and they have been empowered by the Holy Spirit to accept Jesus as Lord. God is big enough and powerful enough, and loving enough to insure that someone who has truly said yes to Him, will not loose momentum. God chooses us for a reason, and He doesn’t choose those who will fall away! God is an intimate Father and He has called us and He has chosen us. Salvation isn’t a one sided thing, we don’t have it solely because we chose it; we are saved because we have been chosen! “According as He hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love:” Ephesians 1:4

When a child is born, who does that child spend their time with? New born babies spend most of their time with their parents; brothers and sisters and friends come by, but new babies spend the majority of their time with their parents, and we are now born of God. We are not born of flesh and blood, we are born of the Spirit, and the Spirit is willing and able, and even demanding of our time. “But as many as received Him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” John 1:12-13 Paul went right into an intimate relationship with God when he was born again, and look at the result of it, God used him to write ¾ of the New Testament and dozens of churches were started because of God using Paul throughout the entire Mediterranean Region. We are still learning from what God did through Paul thousands of years ago! “But the Anointing which ye have received of Him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same Anointing teacheth you of all things, and is Truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in Him.” 1 John 2:27

Now I am not for one-second saying churches are bad. God had Paul setting them up all over the place! “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” Hebrews 10:25 But, far too often we try to make new believers and older believers find out about God through us. God is found and learned about through the precious and glorious relationship that we enjoy with Him, One on one. God is our Father, He chose to have us, and we are born of Him, born of His Incorruptible Seed. It was the will of the Almighty God to have us! We can tell our brothers and sisters about our Father, what He has taught us and what He has done for us, but there is no more powerful time, there is no more precious time, then when God is One on one with us, sharing His Truth and His will for our lives! Clearly you can see I believe in sharing the Word of God; He is having me write these studies! Yet, if you learn anything from these studies of God’s Word, learn that it is God in us that is the One thing that makes everything else come together. It is only because of God Anointing us with Himself that we can fellowship with each other! God is the One Who teaches us the Truth that sets us free! God is the One that heals our bodies, fills us with His joy and gives us His peace that passes all understanding! It is only because of God within us that we are able to forgive one another, walk in faith, and have hope. All of these things and everything else that pertains to life and to godliness come first from us having a life that first and foremost confers not with flesh and blood, but with our Father, Who is God! We are only able to proclaim God because He has revealed Himself to us and glorified us with Himself to do so! How can man apart from God speak of Godly things?
