End of Times Matthew 24:37-39

37 As were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

The Truth is that the world will get more and more evil as the end times approach. The guests of the Wedding Feast will trust more and more in themselves and their own abilities as the end approaches. They will become more smug about their own strength and will as the day approaches and they will punish those of us who have been empowered by the Holy Spirit to not trust at all in ourselves. Even though we will be hated by our future guests, we will we will be strengthened with the full power of the Holy Spirit to bless them as they curse us, Luke 6:28. The Holy Spirit will cause us to forgive them even though they may kill us, Acts 7:60. And our Father will cause us to feed those who hate us and He will glorify us to give them water to drink as they despise us, Matthew 24:45.

38 For just as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, [men] marrying and [women] being given in marriage, until the [very] day when Noah went into the ark,

39 And they did not know or understand until the flood came and swept them all away—so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

Ask yourself: did our Father kill all of these sinful children of His with the flood only to leave them suffering eternally in Hell? Did our Father kill His kids so that He could get His justice on them?

In which He went and preached to the spirits in prison, [The souls of those] who long before in the days of Noah had been disobedient, when God’s patience waited during the building of the ark in which a few [people], actually eight in number, were saved through water. 1 Peter 3:19-20

Our Father doesn’t get even with His children for being bad. Our Father doesn’t get justice over His children. Our Father corrects us and gets His justice over sin. The people in Noah’s day were very bad. So our Father ended their fleshes ability to be bad and He sent their spirits to Hades to be corrected. He did this so that their souls could be saved. Why else would Jesus go and preach to these people? Did Jesus go to Hades to just preach to these people to tell them that they really messed up and that they really blew it. Did He go there to rub salvation in their faces? Or did He go to Hades to set the captives free?

Look at Jesus’ parable of the Rich Ruler and Lazarus, Luke 16. The Ruler was an absolute jerk on this earth. He died and was sent to Hades. When the ruler was in Hades he finally saw the Truth. His flesh no longer blinded him from what is right and wrong, Romans 6:7. When the rich man saw the Truth he began to have compassion on those people who were still in their flesh on the earth. Hades wasn’t a place for our Father to get even with His disobedient child, it was a place for our Father to correct him. The ruler began to place the needs of others above himself in Hades.

Many tell me though that the ruler was told that the chasm was too big and so the ruler could never get out of there. But look at what Jesus was telling us in His parable, the chasm was too big for man to get people out of Hades. The ruler was calling on Lazarus and Abraham, not on Jesus. Only Jesus holds the keys to Hades, Revelation 1:18. Jesus went to Hades and set the captives free from Noah's time and He will do it again on the Last Day. The people who have been sent to Hades will see Jesus and they will call on Him to save them. Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that He is Lord, Romans 14:11. When those who have been released from Hades call on Jesus for help, do you really believe that as they are saying to Jesus that He is Lord, that He will then tell them to go to Hell? Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever, Hebrews 13:8. Jesus never condemned people on this earth when they cried out to Him, so He cannot do it on Judgment Day either. If He would, then He would not be the same as He was yesterday.

I am telling you all that Jesus was very very successful by going to the Cross. His love has covered all of our sins, 1 Peter 4:8.
