We Cannot Stumble

Whoever loves His brother [believer] abides (lives) in the Light, and in it or in him there is no occasion for stumbling or cause for error or sin. 1 John 2:10

We are plainly told that if we love one another, there is no occasion for us to stumble and there is no occasion to sin within us, none! God said, and His Word is everlasting, if we love our brothers in the Lord, there is absolutely and positively no occasion that we can sin. Now that is some powerful stuff, but here is what even makes it even more powerful.

And I have declared unto them Thy Name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith Thou hast loved Me may be in them, and I in them. John 17:26

We are able to have perfect peace that we will never stumble because Jesus is declaring our Father’s Name to us. Jesus ever lives to do it, so the love that our Father has for Jesus, the Head of the Body of whom we are part of, is now eternally within us. If we are truly saved, than we can’t help but love our brothers, because we have the same love for them that God has for them! Man that is so awesome, the love that has been born into us and dwells within us is the same love that God has. That just isn’t any kind of love, that is perfect love. And since we now have God’s love within us, there is no occasion for us to stumble or to sin!

Just allow the power and the wisdom of the Holy Spirit to teach you the full victory of this Truth! I know that it is easy to struggle with the power of these verses. I mean how in the world could we ever love as God loves? But we can love as God loves, because the power of the sacrifice of our Lord and Savior has allowed our Father to do it through us. If we walk by human sight with this Truth, we will stumble and fall into the ditch. But through Christ we do not walk by sight, we walk by faith, faith Authored and Finished by Jesus Himself. So through Christ we see clearly that our Father is willing and able to do what He has spoken. Through Christ we humbly accept the power of Jesus and acknowledge that it is the Father within us; He does the works! And the Truth sets us free and we love as God loves and there will never be an occasion for us to stumble or fall! Our Shepherd insures it!
