We Are To Desire Jesus To Be In Us

"To reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:" Galatians 1:16

When we read John 17:1, we see that Jesus prayed that our Father would glorify Him, so that He could in turn glorify our Father. “These Words spake Jesus and lifted up His eyes towards Heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify Thy Son, that Thy Son also may glorify You.” Jesus wanted to be glorified by God, so that He could glorify God, and Paul wanted Jesus to be revealed within him, so that he might be able to preach the fullness of Him. We cannot preach God without God enabling us to do so. We can’t serve our Father, worship Him, we can’t do anything with Him, unless He first enables us to do so! This is the awesome Truth about our salvation; our Father has the desire and the ability to reveal Himself fully to us, so that we can be used fully by Him and the world will believe! “I in them, and Thou in Me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that Thou hast sent Me, and hast loved them, as Thou hast loved Me.” John 17:23

"For whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He did predestinate, them He also called, them He also justified: and whom He justified, them He also glorified. What shall we say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?" Romans 8:29-31

It is the desire of our Father to reveal Jesus within us. He has predestined us to be conformed to the very image of His Son and our Savior Jesus Christ the Lord. Our Father has not destined us to be conformed to some vague resemblance of Jesus; He has predestined us to be exactly and completely like Jesus. God has called us, He has justified us, and He has glorified us, so that we may be just like Jesus, a member of His body and flesh of His flesh. The blood of Jesus has now purged our consciences from dead works, and because of this He is able to glorify us with Himself, so that we are able to be used perfectly by God to preach the fullness of the salvation of Jesus Christ to the world! “That they all may be one, as Thou, Father, art in Me, and I in Thee, that they also may be one in us,: that the world may believe that Thou hast sent Me. And the glory which Thou gavest Me I have given them; that they may be one, even as We are One.” John 17:21-22 Jesus prayed that He would be glorified by God so that He could glorify God, and then Jesus gave us the same glory, so that we too can glorify God! We have been empowered with the exact same Godly force as Jesus to serve God. We are one with Jesus and His glory is revealed through us as He is glorified within us!

Paul makes such a great statement of faith in Galatians 1:16, “immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood!” How many of us want to rush a new believer off to a class, or group, we don’t want them to loose the momentum! Our Father is big enough and powerful enough, and loving enough to insure that someone who has truly been chosen by Him will not loose momentum. Our Father chooses us for a reason, and He doesn’t choose those who will fall away! God is an intimate Father and He has called us and He has chosen us. Salvation isn’t a one sided thing, we don’t have it solely because we chose it; we are also chosen! “According as He hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love:” Ephesians 1:4

When a child is born, who does that child spend their time with? New born’s spend time with their parents, brothers and sisters and friends come by, but new babies spend the majority of their time with their parents, and we are now born of God. We are not born of flesh and blood, we are born of the Spirit, and the Spirit is willing and able, and even demanding of our time. “But as many as received Him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” John 1:12-13 Paul went right into an intimate relationship with our Father when he was born again, and look at the result of it, God used him to write ¾ of the New Testament. Dozens of churches were also started because of our Father using Paul throughout the entire Mediterranean Region. We are still learning from what God had Paul do thousands of years ago! “But the Anointing which ye have received of Him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same Anointing teacheth you of all things, and is Truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in Him.” 1 John 2:27

Now I am not for one-second saying that churches are bad. Our Father had Paul setting them up all over the place! “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” Hebrews 10:25 But, far too often we try to make new believers and older believers find out about our Father through us. God is found and learned about through the precious and glorious relationship that we enjoy with Him, One on one. God is our Father, He chose to have us, and we are born of Him, born of His Incorruptible Seed.

It was the will of the Almighty God to have us! We can tell our brothers and sisters about our Father, what He has taught us and what He has done for us, but there is no more powerful time, there is no more precious time, then when God is One on one with us, sharing His Truth and His will for our lives! Clearly you can see I believe in sharing the Word of God; He is having me post this study guide! Yet, if you learn anything from these studies of God’s Word, learn that it is God in us Who is the One thing that makes everything else come together. It is only because of our Father Anointing us with Himself that we can fellowship with each other! God is the One Who teaches us the Truth that sets us free! Our Father is the One that heals our bodies, fills us with His joy and gives us His peace that passes all understanding! It is only because of God within us that we are able to forgive one another, walk in faith, and have hope. All of these things and everything else that pertains to life and to godliness come first from us having a life that first and foremost confers not with flesh and blood, but with our Father, Who is God! We are only able to proclaim God because He has revealed Himself to us and glorified us with Himself to do so! How can man apart from God speak of Godly things?

Please pray for me, and I will pray the same for you, that all who we come in contact with will come into complete and total salvation, perfectly united with God and with each other, and that they will be full of glory, so that all of the world may believe and be saved! Jesus loves you and so do I, be blessed in the power of His might!
