Revelation 16:1-2

Then I heard a mighty voice from the temple sanctuary saying to the seven angels, Go and empty out on the earth the seven bowls of God’s wrath and indignation.
  • We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against spirits and principalities of darkness, Ephesians 6:12.
  • A bowl in prophesy often times means deep emotions or feelings, Job 30:27, Lamentations 1:20.
  • The Truth is that Jesus corrects those he loves, Hebrews 12:6, and Jesus loves all of us.
  • We are the Temples of the Holy Spirit, 1 Corinthians 6:19. We will be used to preach the Truth that will set the captives free. Will be used by our Father to preach the Truth even during the Great Tribulation.
  • The two witnesses will have the power to make the world unpleasant for people so that they will seek God, Revelation 11:16. Even though times may seem good, worldly speaking, they will not satisfy people and they will seek out the Truth.
  • Trials, tribulations, bring us closer to our Father, Romans 5:3-4.
So the first [angel] went and emptied his bowl on the earth, and foul and painful ulcers (sores) came on the people who were marked with the stamp of the beast and who did homage to his image.
  • The anti-christ and His followers will suffer. Even with all of the supposed worldly success, there will be no satisfaction in their lives. Most of the time a person that has sores can still pretty much function, it is just unpleasant.
  • If you live by the sword you will die by it, so the people who are causing trouble will be troubled.
  • The message of the anti-christ will not last. It will quickly erode. The whole Tribulation period only lasts for 3 ½ years and we are told that his kingdom will be built on the sand, Revelation 13:1.
  • Taking the stamp of the beast is an unforgivable sin. Jesus tells us that there is only one unforgivable sin and sin is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.
  • Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy (every evil, abusive, injurious speaking, or indignity against sacred things) can be forgiven men, but blasphemy against the [Holy] Spirit shall not and cannot be forgiven. Matthew 12:31
  • We are never told specifically what this sin is though, but we are told that the fallen angels will never be forgiven.
  • For God did not [even] spare angels that sinned, but cast them into hell, delivering them to be kept there in pits of gloom till the judgment and their doom. 2 Peter 2:4
  • The fallen angels have been cast down to the earth and they seek the destruction of the Church, Revelation 12
  • Angels can appear to be men, Hebrews 13:2.
  • Jesus also tells us that He will only lose one that He has been given, Judas, John 17:12. Jesus also tells us that He has been given all mankind, John 17:2.
  • So it seems like men cannot commit this unforgiveable sin. If we could our Father would have clearly spelled out exactly what it is and Jesus would not have said that He would only lose one.
