Do You Measure Up?

And I will put my Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you shall heed My ordinances and do them. Ezekiel 26:37

You ever wonder if you are measuring up when it comes to God? My experience is that there are a lot of people in religion who want us to think about that kind of stuff. So many want us to wonder if we are good enough, giving enough, or spiritual enough. These kind of questions aren’t right to ask, because they cause us to focus on ourselves and not the power that is greater in us. Here is the Truth; if we aren’t measuring up then our Father’s Spirit is to blame. Saying that sounds really weird, doesn’t it? But that is the glorious Truth that passes all of our understanding. Jesus told us that we can’t do anything on our own, so to insure our success, our Father has placed His very own Spirit within us and the Holy Spirit is what causes us to live continually in the Truth that sets us free. We have the very power of God Himself within us and that is the power that makes sure that we are always in the right. Our glory is that we can’t help but to always measure up, we cannot fail! Anyone who tries to make us doubt this glorious Truth by trying to have us question ourselves is anti-christ.

We rely 100% on Jesus. Jesus Alone is responsible for making sure that we are exactly who and what we need to be. So questioning ourselves makes no sense whatsoever.

Therefore He is able also to save to the uttermost (completely, perfectly, finally, and for all time and eternity) those who come to God through Him, since He is always living to make petition to God and intercede with Him and intervene for them. Hebrews 7:25

Now to Him Who is able to keep you without stumbling or slipping or falling, and to present [you] unblemished (blameless and faultless) before the presence of His glory in triumphant joy and exultation [with unspeakable, ecstatic delight]— Jude 1:24

And [how you] look forward to and await the coming of His Son from heaven, Whom He raised from the dead—Jesus, Who personally rescues and delivers us out of and from the wrath [bringing punishment] which is coming [upon the impenitent] and draws us to Himself [investing us with all the privileges and rewards of the new life in Christ, the Messiah]. 1 Thessalonians 1:10

And, beloved, if our consciences (our hearts) do not accuse us [if they do not make us feel guilty and condemn us], we have confidence (complete assurance and boldness) before God, 1 John 3:21

Our confidence is that we cannot in any way shape or form ever measure up through our own actions. We have perfect confidence in our complete inability of success and because we do, we never even have to take thought about such things. This peace allows us to go directly to our Father and have the boldness that we can be there. We can be there because of Jesus, it has absolutely nothing to do with our abilities, our victory it is all due to Jesus.
