But thanks be to God, Who
gives us the victory [making us
conquerors] through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:57
Yet amid all these things we
are more than conquerors and gain a surpassing victory through Him Who loved us. Romans 8:37
O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your
sting? 1 Corinthians 15:55
But thanks be to God, Who
in Christ always leads us in triumph [as trophies of Christ’s victory] and through us spreads and
makes evident the fragrance of the knowledge of God everywhere, 2 Corinthians
2:14
For whatever is born of
God is victorious over the world; and this is the victory that conquers the world, even our faith. 1 John 5:4
He who is victorious shall inherit all these
things, and I will be God to him and he shall be My son.
Revelation 21:7
We are victorious only
because of Jesus. With have victory and are conquerors only because of Jesus.
We always triumph only because of Christ. We are born of God, so we only enjoy
victory and because Jesus ever lives to make sure that these verses come true
for us, we shall inherit all things.
Think about what victory actually
means. To be victorious or to enjoy victory, means that we have had to been in
a battle first, or a contest, or a trial. We cannot have victory and never been
through something. This is why we rejoice in our trials and persecutions,
because we cannot help but to be victorious. Jesus will never allow us to know
defeat. Victory does not mean that we will never be tried, we will. We will be
tried a lot, but our peace is that we will never suffer defeat in our trials.
Moreover [let us also be
full of joy now!] let us exult and triumph in our troubles and
rejoice in our sufferings,
knowing that pressure and affliction and hardship produce patient and unswerving endurance. Romans
5:3
