Doubt's

In this [union and communion with Him] love is brought to completion and attains perfection with us, that we may have confidence for the day of judgment [with assurance and boldness to face Him], because as He is, so are we in this world. 1 John 4:17

I have given to them the glory and honor which You have given Me, that they may be one [even] as We are one: John 17:22

I will be completely honest here, I do not have perfect faith in these scriptures. I quote these verses almost every day. I am usually preaching them to myself, attempting to get full faith in the Truth. We are told that faith comes from hearing the Truth and that the Truth sets us free, so why not talk about the really powerful Truth’s of the Bible? But I would be lying if I said that I am 100% persuaded that these verses, and the others that I so dearly love, will ever come to pass in my life in this earth. So I openly confess that I have doubts. Our Father knows this, so I didn’t catch Him off guard with that confession and by saying it didn’t give satan some free ride to come in and kick my butt. What type of Father would God be if while we are struggling with something, He would allow a killer to have his way with us because of our struggle?

So the question is: are we responsible for removing our doubts or is Jesus responsible to remove them from us?

But when He, the Spirit of Truth (the Truth-giving Spirit) comes, He will guide you into all the Truth (the whole, full Truth). For He will not speak His own message [on His own authority]; but He will tell whatever He hears [from the Father; He will give the message that has been given to Him], and He will announce and declare to you the things that are to come [that will happen in the future]. John 16:13

Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection]. He, for the joy [of obtaining the prize] that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising and ignoring the shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2

According to our Father, He is responsible for allowing us to believe His Truth. He is responsible for guiding us and He is responsible for being the source of our Faith. So if we have doubts, and I do, it is up to our Father to get them out of us. So never beat yourself up over doubts. If you have them you are not unsaved. You are not a back slider and you haven’t been left or forsaking by God. Also, our Father is not going to pour His wrath out on you for asking what is up or why aren’t certain verses happening? Jesus asked God why He had forsaken Him and our Father didn’t leave Him in Hades to perish for His questioning.

We need to stop wondering what we have done or what we haven’t done and we need to realize that it is up to Jesus to do all things through us. Don’t think that you have to be fully persuaded for Him to do our Father’s works through you either. Look at the Apostles, those guys doubted all of the time and our Father used them to do amazing things. Our Father even used Judas and he was a devil who would betray Jesus.
