Ephesians 2:20-22

You are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets with Christ Jesus Himself the chief Cornerstone. In Him the whole structure is joined (bound, welded) together harmoniously, and it continues to rise (grow, increase) into a holy temple in the Lord [a sanctuary dedicated, consecrated, and sacred to the presence of the Lord]. In Him [and in fellowship with one another] you yourselves also are being built up [into this structure] with the rest, to form a fixed abode (dwelling place) of God in (by, through) the Spirit. Ephesians 2:20-22

What a great couple of scriptures. Our Father clearly shows us here that we cannot fail. There is no chance whatsoever of us not measuring up. We are guaranteed success because Jesus is the One holding us together and Jesus is the One Who will cause us to increase. 

So many times we fret over our success. So many times preachers warn of us what we must do or the dire consequences that will arise. All of that is wrong. Jesus is our Cornerstone and because of Him we will always grow and we will always increase. Because of Jesus we will always, 100% of the time, be more than conquerors. We will always abound. It can be no other way, because if we could fail, that would mean Jesus had failed.

And He Himself existed before all things, and in Him all things consist (cohere, are held together). Colossians 1:17

We are now the Temple of God Himself. We are the Holy of Holies. People see God through us, because we are now one with Him. Jesus causes us to be fixed. We are built on solid rock, not shifting sand. We are firmly the home of Love and Love covers a multitude of sins. Love does not take account of when it is wronged. Love is not envious or jealous. Love freely forgives. Love intercedes for others so that they may be saved to the uttermost. 

There is no chance that we will ever fail because we now have life and we now have it abundantly. Freely we have received all of this and freely we will be used to give all of this. What was behind the curtain in the Holy of Holies of the Temple was a secret to most people, but it was still very active. What our Father uses us do: give to the poor, pray for people, forgive people, intercede for people, even the lost, may be done in secret, but it is all still very active and the reward is in the open.
