True Humility

“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.” 1 John 4:4

People so often try to raise God up by talking about how bad we are, we believe that this is being humble. “O what retched men we are, we are weak, we are so bad, we do this wrong, we do that wrong, but thank God He saved us anyway.” You ever notice how people will talk for 20 minutes about themselves and then throw in a 10 second God reference at the end. Don’t you get sick and tired of it! Jesus said it all so differently; Jesus said that He will glorify the Father by glorifying us, by giving us His very Own Spirit, and by producing much righteous fruit through us. Jesus said that He will perfect us by saving us and making us one with God! God does not receive glory by us talking about how bad we are! That old man has passed away, he was crucified with Christ, and the new man who is one with God through Christ and who is united with God through Christ is now alive. God receives glory by being glorious through us! Being used by God, as a part of His body, to produce much fruit is what glorifies God, and God gave us the best that He has, Jesus, to insure that He is able to use us! And praise God, Jesus gave us His glory, which is His oneness with God, His power, His faith, His Spirit, His love, and His magnificence to live in! Jesus gave us all of Himself; He has made us one with all He is and Who He is; Jesus has given us His all! And because He has, we are now eternally united with His glory and He will never leave us or forsake us. It’s all God, and through Christ we are now one and united with all of God! True humility acknowledges what Jesus has done for us, not what we have done!

Greater is He that is in us today, than he that is in the world. And because God is in us today we have become one with Jesus, Who has overcome the world and robbed it of all of its power to harm us. Through Christ our Father has made us more than conquerors and through Christ there is absolutely no weapon that has been formed against us than will prosper! As our Father is victorious in all things, so are we in His power on this world!
