Revelation 11:15-17

15 The seventh angel then blew [his] trumpet, and there were mighty voices in heaven, shouting, The dominion (kingdom, sovereignty, rule) of the world has now come into the possession and become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ (the Messiah), and He shall reign forever and ever (for the eternities of the eternities)!
  • The seventh angel blows the seventh trumpet, which is the final trumpet, and then Jesus returns.
  • At the sound of the last Trumpet the dead are raised and the living in Christ are caught up with Him to rule and reign.
  • In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the [sound of the] last trumpet call. For a trumpet will sound, and the dead [in Christ] will be raised imperishable (free and immune from decay), and we shall be changed (transformed). 1 Corinthians 15:52
  • The living shall in no way precede those who have died in Christ.
  • For this we declare to you by the Lord’s [own] word, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord shall in no way precede [into His presence] or have any advantage at all over those who have previously fallen asleep [in Him in death]. 1 Thessalonians 4:15
  • We are shown here that Jesus has returned and taken control of the earth. The Truth however is that He has always had control of the earth, He just returns to be here physically to control it, Colossians 1:16.
  • The nations under the anti-christ and false prophet who have taken the mark of the beast will have been gathered together to try and defeat Jesus, Revelation 16:16. But they fail miserably because with His Word, Jesus consumes them as with fire, the power of the Holy Spirit! And as the angel proclaimed, it happens quickly!
16 Then the twenty-four elders [of the heavenly Sanhedrin], who sit on their thrones before God, prostrated themselves before Him and worshiped,
17 Exclaiming, To You we give thanks, Lord God Omnipotent, [the One] Who is and [ever] was, for assuming the high sovereignty and the great power that are Yours and for beginning to reign.
  • Jesus is always in control, so here we see that the world now understands this Truth and He physically allows everyone on the earth to see Him. This is the beginning of the millennial reign of Christ.
