3 Then another ominous sign (wonder) was seen in heaven: Behold, a huge, fiery-red dragon, with seven heads and ten horns, and seven kingly crowns (diadems) upon his heads.
- Red represents death.
- The Dragon is satan.
- Seven represents our Father's timing, so once again we see that this is all happening when our Father allows it to happen.
- Head represents leaders.
- Horns represents divisions of kingdoms.
- Crowns represent authority.
- Satan will give the anti-christ his authority, so the rulers of the end times will be fallen angels or other beings who are allowed to rule by our Father. Remember that the anti-christ comes from the abyss, Revelation 17:8.
- The dragon is satan. The heads and crowns represent the earthly rulers that satan is permitted to use by our Father to persecute the Church. As always, remember our Father is in total control of every event in this vision. The rulers that satan uses have been chosen by God to be used. Satan is only allowed to do what our Father permits him to. Nothing is happening without first being ordained by our Father.
4 His tail swept [across the sky] and dragged down a third of the stars and flung them to the earth. And the dragon stationed himself in front of the woman who was about to be delivered, so that he might devour her child as soon as she brought it forth.
- A third of the angels followed satan and they were cast out of Heaven with him, Revelation 12:4. Satan tried to destroy Jesus as soon as he was born and as always, he failed miserably. Yet the glorious Truth is that he succeeded, because he did exactly what our Father ordained him to do, which is fail. Our Father was in control, He knew what satan was going to do before satan even did, and He permitted and empowered him to do it. Our Father warned Joseph in a dream what was going to happen, so Joseph took Mary and Jesus, and they fled to Egypt.
- This is a great Truth for us, nothing takes our Father by surprise. Anything that happens to us has been first ordained by our Father, it has been allowed to happen and it is for our good and the Kingdom’s good!
- We are assured and know that [God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose. Romans 8:28
- Your eyes saw my unformed substance, and in Your book all the days [of my life] were written before ever they took shape, when as yet there was none of them. Psalm 139:16
- This verse shows us that the fallen angels are working with satan.
