Revelation 11:6

⁶ These [two witnesses] have power to shut up the sky, so that no rain may fall during the days of their prophesying (their prediction of events relating to Christ’s kingdom and its speedy triumph); and they also have power to turn the waters into blood and to smite and scourge the earth with all manner of plagues as often as they choose.

• Rain often times will represent the Word of God in prophecy, but since these two will be prophesying this seems to mean actual rain. Hardships, such as severe droughts, drive people to trust in God and not themselves. But it could also mean that they can direct the prophecies to and away from certain areas. 
• Also since a number that no one can count will come out of every nation, tongue, and tribe during the Great Tribulation it would seem that the Word is being preached like crazy worldwide. 
• Waters can represent people in prophecy. These Prophets will know what is coming and when it is coming and they will be used to testify of it to the world. What our Father has them say will cause the world to react greatly. The Truth always causes great reactions. Some will love it and the Blood of Christ will become a great thing for them, some will hate it and the Blood of Christ will anger them.  
• These two's will is God’s will, so they will only do what they first hear from our Father, John 14:10. 
• We have seen earlier in Revelation that our Father releases the Four Horseman to be used to harm a fourth of the earth. These two first speak and the things that we have read about will happen.
• Can you imagine how these two will be hated by the world for being used in this way? And we will be agreeing with them, so imagine how we will be hated as well! The anti-christ and false prophet will be trying to grab all of the worlds power during the end times. At every turn these two witnesses will be used by the Holy Spirit to expose the lies of the anti-christ and the world will fear that it will end the great times of prosperity.
• These two will expose the lies, we will agree with it, and the world will hate us for it. I believe thy will hate us because of the fear of losing money, the love of money is the root of all evil and men will be bragging and boasting, so they will have money. 
• Now if these were physically bad things then the world would probably actually thank us for the heads up, so that they could prepare. But if they were spiritually bad things, like greed and pride that come from prosperity and the love of money, then we would be hated. People will be saying that their worldly success is from God. We will be telling them that it is of man and that they are being prideful and that their love is actually growing cold because they are acting under the anti-christ. This is why we will be hated.
• The thing to remember here is that our Father released the Four Horseman. God released the seals, the Angel of the Abyss, the Four Angels at the Euphrates River, and now we are shown that our Father is controlling, through the Holy Spirit, these two witnesses. This is God’s wrath and He is in control and His wrath is not against His own body. We are fed by Jesus, covered by Jesus, and find clean water by Jesus. Our sins, sicknesses, and diseases are borne now by our Lord and Savior, and they will be borne during the Great Tribulation by Him as well. Even during the Great Tribulation, Jesus is greater within us then he that is in the world! Also take notice that John is told of the speedy victory of Jesus. All of these things that we are being shown will only take 3 1/2 years, for the Body of Christ it is speedy!
