Revelation 14:11

11 And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no respite (no pause, no intermission, no rest, no peace) day or night—these who pay homage to the beast and to his image and whoever receives the stamp of his name upon him.
  • And the beast was seized and overpowered, and with him the false prophet who in his presence had worked wonders and performed miracles by which he led astray those who had accepted or permitted to be placed upon them the stamp (mark) of the beast and those who paid homage and gave divine honors to his statue. Both of them were hurled alive into the fiery lake that burns and blazes with brimstone. Revelation 19:20
  • We are shown in Revelation 19 that the beast and false prophet are thrown directly into the Lake of Fire before the Day of Judgment. Men will have to come up for judgment before they are thrown into the Lake of Fire, so the anti-christ and false prophet are not human, they are fallen angels or some other beings.
  • But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the Lord shall be as the fat of lambs [that is consumed in smoke] and as the glory of the pastures. They shall vanish; like smoke shall they consume away. Psalm 37:20
  • Behold, they are like stubble; the fire consumes them. They cannot even deliver themselves from the power of the flame [much less deliver the nation]. There is no coal for warming or fire before which to sit! Isaiah 47:14
  • Such people will pay the penalty and suffer the punishment of everlasting ruin (destruction and perdition) and eternal exclusion and banishment from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power, 2 Thessalonians 1:9
  • We are told that if man is thrown into the Lake of Fire he is cast out of God’s presence, not tormented eternally in His presence. Our Father’s power is the only thing that makes anything work, so it is also the power that makes the Lake of Fire work, so even if a person is in the Lake of Fire, they are in our Father’s presence. The only way to be out of His presence is to cease to be. So is this warning just for fallen angels? I honestly believe that it has to be for al of the scriptures to fit together.
  • So the smoke of their torment does not end, because whoever, angelic or if humans can commit this sin, never will come back into being. The will eternally cease to be.
  • In Revelation 21 our Father clearly tells us that after Judgment Day He will end all pain and sorrow, grief and tears for men. He clearly uses the word men too in Chapter 21. So if a person is thrown into the Lake of Fire they will still be men, so this Truth of freedom from pain, suffering and grief would have to apply for the men in the Lake of Fire as well. So if humans can take the mark of the beast, they will cease to be.
  • THEN I saw a new sky (heaven) and a new earth, for the former sky and the former earth had passed away (vanished), and there no longer existed any sea. And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, all arrayed like a bride beautified and adorned for her husband; Then I heard a mighty voice from the throne and I perceived its distinct words, saying, See! The abode of God is with men, and He will live (encamp, tent) among them; and they shall be His people, and God shall personally be with them and be their God. God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and death shall be no more, neither shall there be anguish (sorrow and mourning) nor grief nor pain any more, for the old conditions and the former order of things have passed away. Revelation 21:1-4
  • This verse could be studied in so much greater detail. But for this blog I just give some scriptures to get the study sparked. The Holy Spirit will take you into far greater detail. If you have questions about the many other verses that He has used to bring me to this way of thinking just email me and ask.
