“For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.” James 2:26
As born again believers we will do mighty works, but those works do not bring righteousness or our relationship with our Father. We are called unto a holy calling, but not according to our works. "Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began." 2 Timothy 1:9 Our relationship with our Father through Jesus comes first, then because of it, we are made righteous and holy by being recreated in the very image of our Father, and then come the works! “And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.” Ephesians 4:24
We will be used by our Father to do many righteous works, because the sacrifice of Jesus has enabled Him to use us! Through Jesus we can be used to do all things and because of Jesus we will be used to do all things! People will see our relationship with God by seeing the works that the Father is doing through us. We will be able to show God’s glory through us, by the works of His Word that He is performing through us! Because of our Father working His Word through us, we will know that we are righteous and we will know that we are born again! We are now complete in God Who is our Father!
“Looking unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith; Who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2 Because our faith is not based upon our abilities and efforts, but rather on Jesus’, we will be used to do works of righteousness! We will be used by God to go into all of the world and preach the Gospel to every creature. We will be used by our Father to preach recovery of sight to the blind! We will be used by God to do the works that He used Jesus to do and even greater ones, because Jesus accomplished what He was sent to do! Through Christ we have been empowered to be used by our Father to conquer all things! Be blessed in the power of His might!
