Through Christ We Have Freedom

Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holy day, or of the new moon, or of the Sabbath days; Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ. Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angles, intruding in those things which hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,” Colossians 2:16-18

No man can judge us any longer regarding a holy day or a Sabbath day, or about what we eat, or about any worldly ordinances that attempt to make us holy, how awesome is that? Oh, people will try, think about how many people judge us in regards to how we go to church or how we celebrate Easter or Christmas, or Palm Sunday? But there is now no condemnation for us; we have passed from judgment unto abundant life and unto righteousness! We were dead in this world, but now through Christ we have been raised up from the dead and we have been made to sit together in Heavenly places in Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior! “And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come He might shew the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.” Ephesians 2:6-7 These worldly rules that attempt to show worship are only a shadow of things to come, but the one thing that is here, and the one thing that is now, is Christ! Christ, the Anointing of God, the Anointing that was on Jesus, is right now, and we are of it, and we are one with it! We are now the body of God’s Anointing! We have the mind of God’s Anointing, we are more than conquerors through God’s Anointing, and we can do all things through the Anointing of God that strengthens us! Christ strengthens us; we do not grow strong in the Lord by keeping one day holier above another, or by celebrating an event that has happened, or by eating certain foods, or by wearing certain clothes, or praying to some angel or some saint. These things vainly puff people up in their carnal minds, and the carnal mind is against God.

“For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.” Romans 8:6 The spiritual mind, our new mind, the mind of Christ, that mind that God has given us, is filled with the fullness of God, and carnal things just don’t matter, and through the mind of Christ, we now have peace and joy! So if someone celebrates Sunday as the Sabbath, great, or if another celebrates the Sabbath on Saturday, great, or if every day is celebrated as a Sabbath, great; as long as we are in Christ, there is now no condemnation for us! God is the One leading us into the paths of righteousness and if we have truly said yes to Him and made Jesus our Lord, He will lead us at the pace into His fullness that is perfect for us and for His Kingdom! But regardless of where we are in our walk with Jesus, it is Christ and only Christ that matters! No day, or event, or ordnance is above Jesus!
