Revelation 19:15

15 From His mouth goes forth a sharp sword with which He can smite (afflict, strike) the nations; and He will shepherd and control them with a staff (scepter, rod) of iron. He will tread the winepress of the fierceness of the wrath and indignation of God the All-Ruler (the Almighty, the Omnipotent).
  • The sharp two edged sword is the Word of our Father.
  • For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart. Hebrews 4:12
  • The Word, which is the Truth, destroys the lies of worldliness, it destroys the lies of capitalism, socialism, communism, and whatever ism people follow. It destroys the lies of religion and it exposes the wolves in sheep’s clothing who are trying to harm us. The Word destroys the Great Harlot.
  • Also notice here that Jesus will shepherd and control the nations when He returns.
  • It looks like things don’t change as dramatically as most people think when He returns. There will still be nations. According to the Word things don’t completely change until after Jesus’ Millennial Reign and Judgment Day.
  • When Jesus first returns is not Judgment Day. All things change after Judgment Day, al things do not change at Jesus’ return.
  • God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and death shall be no more, neither shall there be anguish (sorrow and mourning) nor grief nor pain any more, for the old conditions and the former order of things have passed away. And He Who is seated on the throne said, See! I make all things new. Also He said, Record this, for these sayings are faithful (accurate, incorruptible, and trustworthy) and true (genuine). Revelation 21:4-5
  • Jesus will cary out our Father's wrath, but remember that our Father’s wrath is not against mankind, it is against the things that have caused His children harm.
  • But then Law came in, [only] to expand and increase the trespass [making it more apparent and exciting opposition]. But where sin increased and abounded, grace (God’s unmerited favor) has surpassed it and increased the more and superabounded, Romans 5:20
  • For God has consigned (penned up) all men to disobedience, only that He may have mercy on them all [alike]. Romans 11:32
  • Well then, as one man’s trespass [one man’s false step and falling away led] to condemnation for all men, so one Man’s act of righteousness [leads] to acquittal and right standing with God and life for all men. Romans 5:18
